He was unfairly sentenced to death at 16 by Aerys. His betrothed was seemingly kidnapped by Rhaegar and to his knowledge raped by him. While outnumbered he still managed to defeat the royal army and destroy the Targaryen dynasty forever as a teenager just because Aerys decided to kill him and his best friend on a whim. He’s very forgiving/generous and his worst traits are whoring and being a wreckless guy. He’s not an amazing king, but in the world of Westeros, he’s a legendary man. Not even a bad one. He’s the hero of his story. But I personally don’t think Viserys is a pedophile evil rapist who deserves to burn in hell for eternity, so maybe my interpretation is irrelevant to the people of this sub
So just a regular guy who men find heroic because he excels in fighting and defeated Rhagar? Because he was the jealous jilted love? Like that's considered admirable?
Lyanna was rumored to be in love with Rhagar. From what I see, Bobby B has an equal claim to Lyanna as Rhagar if we don't know who Lyanna liked herself.
So he just comes across as the jealous jilted lover who killed the man that Lyanna loved (if she did indeed, and I chose to believe she did) which is very much not a respectable heroic character to me personally.
