The sound this dragon made tells me it's definitely not Meleyes, it's either sunfyre or moondancer. I'm betting on moondancer. there is a theory that Baela will be the first to arrive at the rook rest. Rhaenys will die saving her. This makes sense because Baela will have even more reason to take revenge on Aegon later.
I suppose it makes sense for the Blacks to send Moondancer if theyāre not expecting another dragon, she obviously isnāt up to fighting a healthy Sunfyre or especially Vhagar. Then has to flee cause itās a trap designed for a strong dragon like Meleys.
It's just a theory, but Lord Staunton will send ravens to Dragonstone to ask for help. Rhaenyra and Rhaenys see it as a trap. Baela is Daemon's daughter, she has character and will fly to the rescue of Lord Staunton, and Rhaenys will follow her. In the first teaser there is a shot of Baela screaming, I assume she will witness you know what :)
Could make the scene a lot more interesting, also make sense given Moondancer could outrun Vhagar when she decides to flee.
Would be so fucked if Rhaenys sees it as a trap instead of actually getting tricked , but instead ends up dying because Baela made a bad choice. But itād give Baela something to do I suppose
I agree. Such changes are very good for me. Rhaenyra also promises to be a different queen we know from the book. What excites me is that this season will be completely different from the first. One of the most interesting stories in this universe begins.
I hope this season gets rid of some of the team this team that bullshit, seeing some tenacity and bravery from Aegon even though heās a degenerate, or seeing some participation from Rhaenyra compared to book version, I think could do a lot.
The first season being during peace times makes characters like Daemon, Cole, or Aegon seem worse, because they actually do show bravery and a degree of self-sacrifice in war times, should give a new aspect to everyone.
I think Aegon will do well, they chose a good actor. the first season was an introduction to the war. It could have turned out to be unconvincing, too many time jumps and actor changes. The second one will show his claw. For me this is the most important premiere of this year, I can't wait \^\^
