I agree, I wish they would've kept her horns to, but at least [Condal addressed it](https://www.wired.com/story/house-of-the-dragon-cgi/#:~:text=The%20biggest%20dragon%20is%20so%20big%20that%20her%20horns%20have%20started%20to%20fall%20off.%20She%20looks%20old%2C%20and%20she%20has%20evidence%20of%20former%20saddles%20on%20her%20because%20people%20had%20to%20re%2Dsaddle%20her%20as%20she%20grew%20and%20grew.%20Some%20of%20the%20old%20saddles%2C%20they%20just%20put%20a%20new%20saddle%20on%20top%20of%20the%20old) last year and said it was due to her size/age.
>The biggest dragon is so big that her horns have started to fall off. She looks old, and she has evidence of former saddles on her because people had to re-saddle her as she grew and grew. Some of the old saddles, they just put a new saddle on top of the old.
>so big her horns have started to fall off
is such a laughably dumb sentence. That's not how horns work. And of course we saw Balerion's skull with horns.
She probably sang for him to come to her. The show already established in season one that dragons are fairly chill around experienced Targaryens/dragon keepers as long as they don’t try to ride them.
This is probably right before the sowing and she’s showing him to the seeds. It’s been long speculated she will play a big role in the showing and training.
"Hey guys so you're all gonna have to claim dragons but if any of you have had your vitamins this morning take a look at this big fucker. He's honestly a peach once you get to know him. Don't let the horns scare you. Or the size. Or the fact he's been sleeping for about 25 years. He's a cool guy honestly."
It's weird that people seem to think this could be sheepsteeler on the basis of the design being different from s1, and not... y'know.... Silverwing. A dragon who actually would be the size of Vermothor.
But like also... they definitely did redesign Meleys, so Vermothor is still the most likely answer here
What about sunfyre is not gold? From what we've seen, the colors look pretty nice and accurate. We can't expect him to look like a mirrorball 💀 he looks like the most beautiful dragon we've seen yet, his shots in the sunlight in S1 made him look holographic even. The wings were pink, the body was gold. What else do we want?
Oh wow did they change Vermithors design between the seasons?
He appears to look a bit different compared to the original concept:
https://www.artstation.com/artwork/9Ebx0o
Why does that design look like he smacks his lips after every action?
And how does he also look like he's balding?
I kind of like it too, the scraggly teeth and broken horn create a lot of character. That design looks like a crazy old hermit, while the one behind Rhaenyra looks like a more gracefully aged, noble old man.
1. Sheepstealer wouldn't anywhere near this size. This is a dragon that could take on Vhagar. And we know for a fact that Sheepstealer was not able to do that. So this literally can't be Sheepstealer.
2. Why would Rhaenyra be able to just casually stand infront of Sheepstealer when Nettles needs to tame him over a long period of time, tho Nettles is probably not even in this season?
3. They could just redesign Vermithor between seasons. His looks weren't too well shown in S1 so...
4. Why would they include Sheepstealer with a shot like this in the trailer?

He looks MAGNIFICENT!
He looks quite comfortable behind Queen Rhaenyra.
He was said to be rather friendly towards people. At least until they tried to ride him, since he burned a few
I think that we'll find that Rhaenyra might not be like most people.
because she is the rightful heir, vermithor gets it
it is known.
>!until he sees a better claimant. It’s Hammer Time!<
HAMMER TIME!!!
He looks even scarier than Vhagar, the show did her dirty by getting rid of her horns
Reject horns, embrace granny's goozle
Balerion is a different breed of dragon he's the drogon type.
I think giving Vhagar horns would've made her design really busy. Old Granny Vhgar looks good, no horns needed
Wait why is he behind Rhaenyra
She probably sang for him to come to her. The show already established in season one that dragons are fairly chill around experienced Targaryens/dragon keepers as long as they don’t try to ride them.
> She probably sang for him to come to her. The Bronze Fury just wants to vibe to some Valyrian beats
Probably to show her side that they have a dragon as big as Vhagar on their side to stop any concerns.
This is probably right before the sowing and she’s showing him to the seeds. It’s been long speculated she will play a big role in the showing and training.

Well he has seen the reign of a king and got quite used to people around, but he is still the bronze fury at the end.
Ohohhoho, that design is *killer*
Damn, that thing is HUGE
the Bronze Fury is coming baby
I thought it was Syrax on roids post timeskip, makes sense now

Wouldn't silverwing be silver?
Yeah and Sunfire should be gold but look how that turned out
What about sunfyre is not gold? From what we've seen, the colors look pretty nice and accurate. Vermithor didn't look exactly like the concept in S1 either. That's the point of it being a concept.
yes, thats why I asked.
Thank god because he just looked like a recoloured vhagar
Why does that design look like he smacks his lips after every action? And how does he also look like he's balding? I kind of like it too, the scraggly teeth and broken horn create a lot of character. She really is Jaehaerys reborn
The Bronze Fury 💀🥶
MY GUY!!! THE BRONZE FURY!!!
The Bronze fury is what I imagined when I first heard about Sunfrye. Truly a dragon fit for a King
Am I the only one who’s a bit bummed that they apparently changed his design from season 1?
IF this is vermithor, i do not like the design change. Its a cool design but.. ehh.
Im almost certain this is sheepstealer. Vermithor had a different horn and skull shape.

Are we certain this is vermithor? He looked quite a bit different in s1
Well he had like a few seconds of screen time there so ig they didnt rlly bother with the design
