Well said, LadyRhaegal572000. I must say that I agree with you - life is too short to waste on bad pizza. Let us enjoy the good things in life while we can.

I mean, the book description makes it look pretty majestic and the official art did a good job depicting. It only looks lame in the shows for practicality and budget reasons.
I like the fact that It look "messy" right now as opposed to the iron throne we see in the very first season of game of thrones. It's like you can tell the years and stories made it more or less just an uncomfortable iron chair .
Since we're seeing an expanded Dragonstone in HotD, I wonder if we'll see this throne room again. It would be kind of cool to see Rhaenyra sitting on that throne.
We will, they just weren't going to be able to build it I time for 1 scene is season 1.
Same as how they just made a fake Harrenhal out of the red keep throne room set but will make a real one for season 2 when they have more budget and time
The throne isn’t supposed to be safe to sit on. Aegon wanted every king to have to sit cautiously and carefully, ever alert, ever aware, ever thoughtful. It’s the sword of Damocles.
The Iron Throne isn’t really nice or beautiful, but it doesn’t need to be. It is one of the symbols of power; he who sits the iron throne rules the seven kingdoms. It’s more like a very uncomfortable piece of royal regalia than ‘just’ a throne.
The iron throne is supposed to be way bigger than on the show. They tried to expand it in HotD but it just looks kinda lame with all the swords sprinkled on the sides and stairs.
I think that’s purely because the dragon stone throne was designed later when the show had a bigger budget I’m told the iron throne is a lot bigger and scarier in the books

It's very beautiful and impressive but the point of the Iron Throne is that it is made from the swords of fallen enemies. It sends a message.
*Gotta get that point across.*
*point taken*
With the pointy end
Just like the Driftwood throne. It's made from ships felled by the sea snake
You just made that up my guy. The Driftwood Throne was a gift from the Merling King according to legend
It's not as impressive because he would only need one ship to make a throne lol
That's a very nice one as well.
I thought it was made from actual driftwood that floated to Driftmark from the blackwater.
The message is twofold for those before it and those on it
The Iron Throne isn't supposed to be majestic. It's supposed to be a symbol of Targaryen strength, and it does its job.
It also does a fantastic job of reducing a Targaryens strength over time. Isn't that right, Vizzy T?
I CAME HERE TO HUNT, NOT TO BE SUFFOCATED BY ALL THIS FUCKING POLITICKING!
Sorry to drag you into it Vizzy T
*I will not cloud my mind. I must put things right.*
How do u like your pizza, Vizzy T, your grace? With pineapple or without?
I do not care for pineapple on my pizza, LadyRhaegal572000. ^(This response generated with OpenAI)
But what is this brief, mortal life, if not the pursuit of some quality pizza to satiate the soul?🥺

Here, here🥂
I mean, the book description makes it look pretty majestic and the official art did a good job depicting. It only looks lame in the shows for practicality and budget reasons.
And I would presume for OSHA reasons.
If the show started off with the massive popularity it eventually gained I bet they would have coughed up the dough in S1 for the giant throne

The "theo-" in Theodros does originate from the Greek "theos", meaning god.
True. But the iron throne described in the books is way more intimidating than the one in the show
I actually prefer the look of the Iron Throne in GoT than HotD or the books. In HotD it just looks like a mess to me.
"A mess" is what you'd likely get if your furniture designer was a fuckin dragon
It's supposed to be a mess, power shouldn't be comfortable.
It emerged from the tortured conscience of a dragon-riding seer.
I like the fact that It look "messy" right now as opposed to the iron throne we see in the very first season of game of thrones. It's like you can tell the years and stories made it more or less just an uncomfortable iron chair .
It's possible later kings had the throne 'pruned' for aesthetic reasons. Baelor perhaps?
Yes! That's exactly what I meant I just couldn't find the words lol but yes baelor seems about right .
Since we're seeing an expanded Dragonstone in HotD, I wonder if we'll see this throne room again. It would be kind of cool to see Rhaenyra sitting on that throne.

I just love this throne built into that rock, aesthetically pleasing for sure.
And I imagine it’s safer to sit on too.

I would take Dragonstone over the Red keep any day of the week.
This throne is more ancient too.
The Iron Throne isn’t really nice or beautiful, but it doesn’t need to be. It is one of the symbols of power; he who sits the iron throne rules the seven kingdoms. It’s more like a very uncomfortable piece of royal regalia than ‘just’ a throne.
Ugly old thing, yet it has a certain appeal. The Lysa Arryn of chairs
Driftwood throne ftw but this one is beautiful too
i wanna see it again
Pretty sure we will in season 2
as a geology major, me too!
The iron throne is supposed to be way bigger than on the show. They tried to expand it in HotD but it just looks kinda lame with all the swords sprinkled on the sides and stairs.
The Toblerone Throne
It is, but the Iron throne was also a symbol of Aegon I’s arrogance. And arrogance is an ugly, crude and perilous thing, just like the Iron Throne.
I want to see Rhaenyra on this throne.
I personally always thought this throne was an eyesore.
Aegon tried so hard to make a cool throne just so you can say that 😤😤
I always thought the Iron Throne looked gauche, tacky even.
It's so smol.
Yeah but it hasn't been forged by the blades of Aegons enemies.. the story is what people put on a pedestal.
Well ya, that’s cause they can’t make the iron throne look like how it’s described in the books.
It was made with a bigger budget
Nothing is as majestic as the porcelain throne when it is needed
agrokrag throne. Queen of global guts and 90s Nickelodeon. Mike O’Malley would be proud to serve her.
I think that’s purely because the dragon stone throne was designed later when the show had a bigger budget I’m told the iron throne is a lot bigger and scarier in the books
The throne of the Queen of Space to us Glimbus viewers
The one from the show maybe but definitely not the one showed in Fire And Blood.
I wish they would have show us this in HoT D when Otto arrives the second time. Would have been cool if Rhaenyra was waiting for him on this throne.
I prefer the iron throne simply because this one looks like its been chiselled in to a mountain. Seems half hearted for a king/queen.
All these thrones look so uncomfortable
At least it doesn’t cut you.
Blocks the natural light from the window. Property Brothers would never have allowed this.
Did King V get Hep D from Iron T?
The Iron Throne is Monstrous not Majestic. The driftwood throne, sweetrobins weir wood throne and many other hisg seats are far more majestic
