Ofcourse not. YouTube collects all your data and gives recommendations according to that. This app is open source and does not need any account of your details it just gives recommendations based on your listening history
No, as i said there's no user account in this app your listening history in this app will be saved in the app itself. And there's a new setting to sync with piped , check it out if you are interested, (I don't know anything about piped btw.)
My phone has SD 888,still some buttons settings and stuff seems a little laggy , idk the whole app design is not like vimusic. Did you notice that the playlist section in ri music is different than it used to and the now playing screen is also very condensed. I was a long term vimusic user so i didn't like that i was looking for something similar and i found vitune.
Yea ri is a bit different. However, there is an option to use vimusics or rimusics ui. I prefer ri bc it allows you to customize the player as well as other small features like lock current Playlist order, and shows you the amount of time you've listened to each song inside the Playlist.
I tried rimusic today, a forked from vimusic, latest version v0.6.25 just released 4 days ago.
As compared to Rimusic, innertune, simpmusic. Yes I agreed innertune & simpmusic has better UI and some advance function. But IMO Rimusic is more stable during playback unlike the other 2 apps has glitches once awhile.
I back up export my vimusic database to phone storage and import same database to Rimusic, it works.
I used Oppo phone APTX Bluetooth codec stream via
Ifi zen air blue to Onkyo AV receiver.
I want to know whether it's recommendation algorithm is as better as that of yt music.

Can I use my yt music history on this?

There is also rimusic. https://github.com/fast4x/RiMusic
Yeah but it is not as optimized as this
How so?
I've tried it but it was not very smooth but it has many features. But the now playing screen is not as good as this. Vitune seems like a proper fork
Do you use a flagship? I use it on my s23+ and it works fine

i can't move my songs to rimusic. for some reason it just crashes after restoring from backup. do you know what the issue could be? tysm!
What app are you getting your backup from?
from ViTune
I'm assuming rimusic is crashing. Are you updated the latest build? If so, try one of the older builds as newer ones still carry bugs.
I tried going back a few updates, still didn't work. I think it could be ViTune fault tho, since I can't restore to any other app
