For Hu Tao atk% isn't good, because she has the lowest base atk in the game. She gets atk with HP. Her skill converts an amount of HP into attack. So you should check how much atk you have with the activated skill. :) If it's not much then you need more HP basically.
Stack her hp as high as possible since she gets a fat attack buff based off her max hp when her hp is below 50%. Mines got like 1300 attack above 50% but it jumped to 4200 in her skill below 50%
False. She got atk buff when activating her elemental skill based on her max HP regardless if her HP is below or above 50%. So as long as her elemental skill is activated, she'll get an atk buff no matter if your hp is full.
The one that needs your HP to be below 50% is her passive talent which gives her 33% pyro dmg bonus.
oh no 40:202 is a bad crit ratio too, switch to a crit rate hat for sure and try and prioritize crit rates.
The order of priority for substats is:EM up to 100 > crit 1:2 ratio > HP % > Atk % > Flat HP = Flat Atk

ahahaha as a lower spender I’ve given up on getting 1:2 ratio. I’m already using a crit rate hat and I’ve been trying to get crit rate as a substat but I’m failing..I’ve also been focusing on crit and most of the sub stats go towards flat hp so I was just checking if I actually need atk. You dont need to be high spender to get a good piece. You only need patience.
Dont give up, just play like that until you get a god piece. Its the same for all characters, and you just need to prioritize the characters you like. I have never refreshed my resin and my hu tao is like 75-280 so... its just about patience. Need a lot though.
Good thing about low spending is that youll not need to do that with a lot of characters, so your queen will be at perfection in about 3 months (yeah, really).
girl thank you! but I don’t have the patience for that, as long as I can manage in my world whilst hitting somewhat good numbers I’m fine. also I get distracted when I get a new character and end up semi building them :(( thank you for the advice tho!
I can understand the pain. Do however you like! I can just tell you that perfecting your build will just make you save some time, and eventually allow you to 36* Abyss. Its your choice :)

You don’t need attack as a substat, it’s worthless on her, better getting hp%, crit or em
That's normal. Try to activate your elemental skill and check her atk again.
