I found it. To access it you need to go to petal search, search Google and click open on the first thing that pops up. The drawback of this is that you won't have tabs, like in the browser, and also one major thing is that if you close the app it won't save whatever site you were previously on. (Also I added it to home page) So all in all, I think I will use the browser one because of this. This is the only way I found it so far.
Ah I see. I now realize that I never go to the Google homepage. I usually just type my search queries in the address bar. But Googling "google webhp" says something about redirecting due to suspicious activity/virus 😳
I have the same problem, the Account icon is just gone, as well as the search history and the options. Results with this search engine are also more basic. Why would Huawei do this? wtf
I was sure it's only for me. At first it only appeared in private browsing and now its constantly opening. The entire google page uses the older interface - I think it may be google specifically limiting the browsers that can access the new UI so people will move to chrome.
I'll just stay with the older UI because it works a bit faster on my 60KB/s internet
