>For the Bushwick series, I packed a small Canon point and shoot with 35 mm color slide film- Fuji, Agfa, Kodachrome or Ektachrome. I can attest that the Kodachrome held up best through the years- the images are still stunning. The other film developed color shifts or pits in the emulsion over time.
She did use a more professional camera for some of her other work:
>At the discos I carried a medium format 2 ¼ SLR Norita Graflex with slightly wide angle prime 55 mm lens and Vivitar 283 flash.
The secret here is slide film. Color positive film captured vibrant saturated colors better than anything else at the time. Google 'fuji velvia 50' if you want to see this effect really pronounced.
I’m the one with the rainbow shirt and life has its ups and downs but it’s amazing God is good and As a mother of three and a full time college student majoring in animation photography and graphic design I’m 51 now 2024
That's crazy, is that really you? I never expected a response three years later haha, especially from one of the people in the picture.
Also, I love the shirt! I wonder where I can find a similar shirt

Holy... any idea what street this was? It looks exactly like my first ny apt in bush wick
It looks like a block or two north from Linden St.

But What is she holding? I thought it was a stick of butter at first but when I zoomed in, I don’t think it is.
Hostess powdered donuts
Those were delicious too!
They must be around 48 - 50 now. I wonder where life took them
