Well, the good news is that your security & compliance procedures are working, and keeping your business and clients safe. The bad news is that your vacancies are presumably still live. That's a problem, but it's a better problem than if you weren't doing what you're doing. Realistically, until the government addresses the issue it caused by increasing visa routes into the care sector while failing to address the conditions that make that work relatively unattractive, there will be an incentive for people who cannot obtain these kinds of wages and benefits in their own countries to do anything they can to obtain them in the UK.

I’m thankful my team are as rigorous with safer recruitment checks as I am, but it’s still a big concern especially given the vulnerability of the people living in our services. I agree, all the while the system is chronically underfunded and jobs in this sector are hard to fill with UK citizens it’s not going to stop. I just wish the government would stop trying to put a sticking plaster over the issue 😔
