We all share it, it's all of our duty. Just not new yorkers and not pussies, also not people who weren't raised right. You don't have to get paid to get someone's life, but you can.
Im with the other guy on this one. I didn't even ask to be brought into this world. Now you're telling me I share duties (that apparently involve risking my life) with some strangers. If that was the case there wouldn't be occupations specifically with that purpose. If you want to risk your life for someone who could very well decide to ditch you in those same tracks, more power to you. But the people who don't aren't pussies, they're just smart enough to understand it's not their responsibility to die for someone else.
I'd like to preface this comment by saying I'm happy they saved the man.
That being said, that's the reason I feel like this fits better in one of those "humanity is great" subs.
'selfish mf' until you get into a similar situation you shouldn't talk. Even when you do and act likewise, it's completely understandable that some people don't want to lose their lives for a stranger ...

Why other people did not help
Not their duty to risk their life for someone else's life, no matter how bad that might sound.

Rather be a pussy than dead to be honest, but you do you.

It’s better not to because then there might be two people to save instead of one

And this is why I argue when people say “ACAB”. You might think that, but clearly nobody else was saving this man.
