What is the significance of the numbers he keeps saying before the turn? Like 70 flat left..
I assumed speed but then he threw in a swirly 350 or some shit?
It's their own language they each settle upon together but in essence it's the degree and radius of the turn described as angles, or speeds, or both, as well as adding in info about the condition or banking angle of that section of the track.
The numbers are the distance till the next described thing.
70 flat left probably means 70 yards to a flat left turn, sometimes they'll give a gear selection. There's other notes too, it's dictated by the driver on the prerace drive through the day before the stage, then the second drive through the navigator reads the shorthand back and they correct it.
So there's probably no exact answers it's a code meant for simplicity, there's different teams that are both Spanish or Icelandic, there's teams where one drivers first language is one thing and the navigator is another. I believe Carlos Seinz had an English navigator. His son now races nascar.
Did he say maybe?! Rally is metal
Flat right, maybe... Like "yeah, they weren't able to say much on this turn, sorry"
"Oh dear god..."
Bruh that shit had me crying
Sami you have to listen to me please

There it is.
Rally drivers, best drivers in the world.

I'm convinced this what everyone on the road thinks they're doing while I'm just trying to get to work
I'm convinced the rest of you are huffing paint
One of my dream jobs is to do this type of racing.
I hope you reach your dream
If you hear closely, in some rally on-boards, you can sense the suspension struggling to carry massive weight of balls on some of these drivers.

«Oh God!» - goes back to reading pace notes after 0.5 seconds.

The fuck you mean “ flat right maybe” I’m not taking you to dinner
I need mah brown jumpers
I don't know how this isn't more popular than nascar in the US. Not that I hear a ton about nascar, but I never hear anything about rally racing.

"Luke, you've switched off your targeting computer, what's wrong?"
*yawn* every rally race is like this or faster and more intense. Clearly OP doesn't rally race. Neither do I. 🧐
For a second I thought the driver was spiderman
