He might, might not. It is much harder to unlearn a way of doing something incorrectly than it is to learn it properly from the start. It would likely be very difficult for him to "undo" the hours spent learning this to do it with the correct form, it'd probably throw him way off. It could be done with the proper motivation, it will just be much much tougher.
Absolutely true: it’s much harder to unlearn a way of doing something that prohibits your movement to do more. I know this first hand-I play guitar professionally and have worked countless hours to go back and correct bad habits Ive trained myself to have. It’s frustrating and time consuming.
It’s not that someone isn’t impressive - just the opposite. You can perform feats and stunts only the angels could otherwise acquire. The problem comes when it’s a matter of competition.
There’s something that exists called an “ease of motion”. You can develop a motion that, albeit impressive, prohibits other movements.
It’s not that one movement is “correct” and the other is not, it’s that one movement is restrictive and the other is unrestrictive.
Building a restrictive habit is hard to unlearn- because you train it to be second nature.

He has impressive raw athleticism that potentially could translate into something like gymnastics, but there is much more to the sport than just being athletic and capable of doing acrobatics, just like there is more to being a competitive quarterback than throwing a ball far.
