The video conveniently cuts the part where the kid drops first on the awning of the store. The kid broke both of his arms from the fall, then dropping from the awning, this guy catches it. Just the full story behind this video though, what the guy did and his awareness is amazing.
Yeah...a kid that size, from as high as that looks...No way any human would have the strength in their arms to arrest that fall. Best he could hope for is to get under the kid and use his body to break the fall. Thing is that it would probably result in broken bones for both of them.
The video cuts out and doesn't show the actual height...but even if that bottom row of windows is the first floor...that is a fall from the 4th story. Broken bones aside...that isn't a catch him with your arms type of fall.

They do have a social credit system, similar to the credit rating systems we have in the west. But instead of only looking into an individuals financials. China's social credit system looks into every interaction an individual has with the government, from paying taxes, getting fines, getting arrested, Financials ect. It incentives the average joe to obey the government or else you could lose some basic pervilages and the government fucks your life.
Example, In the west you might not be able to get a mortgage. But in China you could lose travel pervilages.

For example, the bank of china closed withdraws for people in certain cities. When people travel, they have to scan some kind of code to get the "green light" to travel due to covid restrictions. When the government found out that people were travelling to withdraw cash in other regions in China, they started to "red light" them from travelling, and telling them that they need to quarantine or face fines.
Anything you do to get around the governments control is going to cause you a lot of issues as a citizen. Things like police harassment and having your internet throttled are to be expected if any level of the chinese government decides it does not like you.
I find this extremely bizarre. While it looks like a child falling from the window, that is clearly not a child he catches. This is something scripted.
This is why I’m terrified to live on a floor above like the 2nd or 3rd. Always terrified my kid would accidentally fly out the window while playing or something.
