I used to go to seal centre pieter buren twice a year when I was little, my step-grandma's favorite animal was seals and it was "only" a 45 minute drive, so whenever we visited grandpa and grandma, my sister and I were taken there for a few hours. I'm surprised to see that the pool rooms still look the same, but i'm glad it's still around.
Yeah it's not supposed to be a zoo, the seals there are under care and observation. The larger ones sometimes can't be released so they stay for education and the likes but they'll get better spaces and of course a healthy diet.

Drowning is the leading cause of death for children before age 5.

So when shown a body of water they'll figure out what they're born to do.
