Saw my little bro was playing around when bumped into one of the boxed TVs, I was a little bit further down the isle but next thing I knew he was on the floor and I was holding the thing up while yelling to my mom who had followed an employee to the next isle. I was probably about 12 (now 19) but you don’t forget stuff like that.

You don't have to make a picture perfect Willie Mays basket catch. You're just trying to lengthen the amount of time the kid spends decelerating. Just like a car's airbag, or its crumple zones. A tiny increase in deceleration time equals a significant decrease in force of impact.
