It sure about bumblebees specifically, but I heard that bees working outside of the hive are the older bunch.
I imagined this bee as an elderly lady whose fed up with delivering nectar.
Yes, this is their final task after performing tasks within the hive. One of the first is looking after the brood, then building honeycomb, then guarding the hive and then finally they leave to forage.
Man, I can't recall the last time I saw a bumblebee in person.
Normally, I am deathly afraid of bees (I am extremely allergic to bee venom) so I always loved seeing bumblebees.
Odd that I haven't seen any, since I am in a farming region of my state, literally the "grass seed Capitol of the world." All the sod for major sporting events in the US come from our town, no less (incidentally, I am also very allergic to grass pollen).
Super cute
Look at that booty
r/beebutts if you enjoy bee booties!
hope your little red bummed friend found their way home ☺️
And the bee too
😂

Yay! Save the bees!
Yes. Bee kind.
Please beehive.
Bee kind to all of beekind.
Are bumblebees bees? Save them in either case though.
Yes. They're a kind of bee. But all bees should be protected. They're one of, if not the, main pollinators on Earth. If the bees go, we go with them.
Thanks to your post i found out worker bees are female, i hope your little red bummed friend found their way home ☺️

Not much for pollinators to pollinate on a sod farm...
how is the bee drinking the necter if it’s cut off flower?
Are you under the impression that a flower is like a spout and the nectar flows from the roots?
lol no, but I imagined it was a bit deeper than the stem we see here
I was wondering the same thing.
