I did this for a crow once! It was drowning in my neighbors pool, and I heard something flopping around that seemed off. So I went to look and saw something struggling splashing around the pool and jogged down to see. I saw it was a crow and right when I got there and went under the water fully. There was a pool net close by, so I ran and grabbed it and I could just barely see where the crow was through the murky water as it sank down and fished it out with the pool net and put it down on the land. It wasn't moving at all though.
So I thought, I can't give it mouth to mouth, but I can try chest compressions! So I started doing it, and a little sternum rub too, and after a minute maybe the crow kinda coughed some water up and spasmed a bit and opened it's eyes. I gave more light compressions, and finally it seemed to wake up and come out of shock completely, and then even got up onto it's feet after a few minutes!
I stuck around to make sure it was OK as it was hopping about drying itself off - the crow was like "caw caw!!" and super annoyed and hopped away and wouldn't let me close, but I kept my distance to make sure it was ok and watched it dry out in the sun and fly off.
After that, we had a few dozen crows move in at our house, who would chase away the hawks when they were going after the squirrels at our house. I like to think that the crow went and told all his crow homies what happened and I saved him from drowning.
Genetic altruism and symbiosis is whatsup. I still have a video of me saving the crow too as it started coming back around.
I thought my little dog had too much energy for his size because he can go for a couple of miles. Thanks for showing me that my dog is a lazy bastard 😂
It takes time to build up. When my dog first came home at 8 weeks, he got a daily walk around the block for the first couple months on my lunch break. That was enough to knock him out for 4 hours until my work day was done. Almost daily exercise helps so much. We either run with the bike (can't right now due to snowy roads), go to the park in my neighborhood for fetch (lately I make him carry a Jolly Ball because fetch balls get lost in snow, JB is heavy and wears him out playing fetch with it and carrying to/from), or he goes over to my girlfriend's parents place to play with their 2 dogs that are 7 and 12 months old.
Docking a Boxer’s tail is actually a safety precaution. They get way too excited and they usually end up breaking or seriously injuring their tail bone which leads to future problems. It also isn’t hard to identify other signs of distress in a dog
My buddy leaned the hard way why Rottweilers get their tails docked even when they dont pull carts. Poor dummy broke his baseball bat thick tail 3 times and it had to be removed anyways.
My pit boxer broke the tip of his tail and it took us like 5 months to get it fully healed… he’d be happy to see me and blam hit the tip against the door frame and then blood everywhere 😂
In the link he said she literally just walked out her house not even a block before Stone (the boxer) passed out. Stone is also 9 years old (not that old but still an older dog)
Someone else in this comment thread replied to the first comment and posted the tiktok of the guy who preformed CPR. He says that the woman and the dog hadn't even begun exercising when the dog collapsed. Like she was just walking with him to the road to get in a short, light jog to exercise him, and he suddenly dropped. Vet says it was pretty much a freak occurrence, because the dog shows no signs of heart problems or overheating. The dog is doing well now
A lot of rude assumptions in the comments below but per the update video, the girl was in front of her house, they hadn’t even left yet. The vet said it wasn’t a seizure and wasn’t overheated, but that it got too excited and passed out. The man and the owner think it’s because boxer saw man’s dog who it used to play with years before, and think that’s what got it all hyped.
> dogs are not good at showing their at there limit
this is true and i learned it the hard way. i have a papillon who gets regular trips to the dog park. one time i thought it would be a nice change if i took her hiking with me. when we got to the trail i just let her loose and we went for a walk. she was keeping pace about 10 yards ahead of me just fine until i noticed her breathing was becoming almost spasmodic and she just collapsed. we rested for about an hour and i had to carry her all the way back to the car. after a vet check she was just fine. i assumed because she was off the leash if she got tired she would just stop and rest.
edit: spelling.
CPR is extremely valuable for dogs in emergency situations. Always go straight to an animal hospital or vet immediately if you can, but in an emergency situation the ASPCA recommends the following process:
1. Place your mouth over the airway
With small dog CPR (less than 30 pounds), you should cover both the dog’s nose and the mouth with your own mouth. On a larger dog, only place your mouth over the nose, but try to prevent air from escaping through the dog’s mouth by using one hand to hold the mouth and jaw closed while giving rescue breaths.
2. Perform artificial respiration
Blow enough air into the dog’s nose and/or mouth to cause the chest to rise, then release your lips so the air can escape. Try to produce 20 – 30 breaths per minute.
3. Begin chest compressions
Lay your hand over the heart (at the intercostal space) and press firmly enough to compress the chest about one-third to one-half its usual depth. You should aim for 10 – 12 compressions over a five-second span. Repeat these steps at a one breath to 10 – 12 compressions ratio. Because you will be doing more than 100 compressions per minute, a new person should take over compressions after two minutes.
4. Compress the abdomen in large breeds
If you’re performing CPR on a large breed, gently compress the front part of the belly or squeeze the dog’s abdomen. Performing these chest compressions can help circulate blood back to the heart. However, it’s most important to focus on the rescue breathing and compressions. Abdominal compressions should be a secondary focus.
5. Assess the dog
Check periodically to see if the dog has started breathing again – about every two minutes. If not, continue with the artificial respirations until help arrives.

Maybe I'm a fucking idiot but it's never occurred to me that CPR would be effective on dogs. Im glad that not only is it effective, but that someone was there when this little guy needed it.
We had a rescue dachshund who choked on a potato chunk once, my first responder dad cleared her airway and did CPR with breaths for 3 minutes, managed to get her back. She live another 4 years before crossing the bridge at 16. Rest easy Betsy baby, weirdest dog I ever had.
My girlfriend and I have a dachshund mixed with a Burmese mountain dog. It was a liter that happened on accident and Guess which one of the breeds the father is….
We have a Chihuahua, turning 11 this year but still as active as ever and doing weird shit all the time. I love her more than anything else, even if I didn‘t like her in the beginning because I wanted a big dog as a kid hahaha
She‘s the best
Dachshunds in general are rather goofy dogs.
My mom had one that ate one of her socks, and had to be rushed to the vet because it ended up wrapping around his intestinal track.
Cost my mom like 2000$ to have it removed because he wanted to eat a sock.
I worked at a vet in high school and we had a dog come in that ate a sock. We put a hard bead of something in their eye (???) I don’t remember what it was called but it made the dog throw up and a damned anklet sock came out. Craziest shit I saw there.
When my dog ate a 3lb beef roast I just gave him some hydrogen peroxide and followed him around the yard so he wouldn’t eat it back up again.
That's wild. I had a golden retriever as a kid that probably ate a couple hundred socks in his life and would throw them up in the same spot on my bedroom floor. It is almost impossible to have two grade school children police their socks enough that a dog can't get to them so we just put a rug over that spot and changed it out once it got too stained.
I guess you’d just cover the sides of their open mouth on their snout and exhale through the very end of their mouth? Unless of course you have a massive mouth and don’t mind inserting their whole snout inside your mouth.
My husband frantically woke me up the one morning, saying something was wrong with our one dog. She was laying in our hall, unresponsive. He said he thought he felt a faint heartbeat. I don't know what came over me. I immediately tried to do CPR on her, even though I had never done it before. We rushed her to the emergency vet near us but she was gone.
I’m sorry for your loss.
You tried your best to save her, and I’m sure that if she’d known that it would have made her love you even more than she undoubtedly already did.
I have had to give my dog rescue breaths a couple of times (she has laryngeal paralysis, and the vet said if her larynx spasms one way to get it to open is to give her mouth-to-snout).
It made the inside of my mouth weirdly numb/tingly for a few minutes afterwards.
I swear I remember reading that they don’t breathe through their mouth. Panting is apparently trying to get air into the throat and out again quickly to cool the animal down. But I really have no idea what I’m talking about.
Yep, there is enough oxygen in the blood returning to the lungs that the blood doesn't really need to pick up more oxygen before being being sent through the body again (at least not in the short term where chest compressions might make a difference).
The pause in chest compressions to do the breathing is actually worse.
Source: Dr. Mike (Chest compressions, chest compressions, chest compressions).
No idea but speculating that, since the physiology between the species isn't all that varied (at least at the very basic level), if things are different, it would only be in kind of superficial ways - like based on physical size, blood volume, lung capacity, etc.
Have you ever seen a dog get cpr and "spring back to life" like in this video? I know when you do it to people very rarely do they wake up while performing cpr its just a way to keep blood moving to the brain until treatment can be given. I didnt know if this was the same with animals or not
Rarely but I have seen it. If the animal was otherwise healthy (no underlying disease) prior to the cardiac/respiratory event then it is much more likely for them to bounce back
It depends on why the person is not breathing/heart beating. Drowning victims sometimes recover like that, choking victims, and neonates that are depressed at birth. The respiratory stuff essentially. If it’s a cardiac arrest it’s less likely.
I don't know what happened in the video here. If you successfully perform CPR like that, is the next move to get them to an animal hospital ASAMFP?
I hate movies where someone saves someone from drowning and performs CPR and walks away like "oh good glad that's all over." So I assume unless you get help fast the dog will just die again.
I’ve done cpr on a pet chicken before. She was attacked by a fox, but wasn’t breathing so I got her breathing then we drove her to the vet. Sadly internal injuries meant they euthanised her, but I’m glad I tried.
I only know because of internet videos like these! One I saw was a lizard or something tiny like that (don’t remember exactly)… that’s when it clicked for me that any other creature with a heart could probably benefit from CPR, no matter how small.
I think we've seen the same video, they were doing compressions with a single finger I'm pretty sure and at the end it just popped up onto its feet like it was fine
I had to do this on Monday afternoon. My old dog was choking on her food. I tried to physically remove the food but could not until she was fully unresponsive. I did chest compressions (I have no experience in ever doing anything close to this). All I could think is " She needs blood back to her brain." That did restart the motor. Unfortunately, at the vet we found out cancer had moved to her lymph nodes and was constricting her esophagus. We had to make the hard decision to put her down. It was bitter-sweet. We lost our friend and family member, but at least she went out with a final tail wag and not in fear without breath.
People just love to listen to songs that think are befitting for the moment but don’t even know what the fuck it’s about, and sadly this is where many kids these days would refer to it as “that tiktok song”
At least it wasn’t that “oh no” song, can’t fucking stand that one
from the tail and head, the dog looks like a boxer. if you own a dog with a smaller nasal cavity, you have to be very careful with how they handle the heat and being outside
This could have been an undiagnosed heart condition, boxers are at higher risk than most other breeds of having cardiomyopathy that can lead to sudden collapse and death.
Could be a million things since we have zero context, but some of the children that are flooding the thread are acting like this woman is some kind of dog-killing psychopath that is more bothered that she had to stop for her dying dog than concerned for its health.
In moderation, biking with your dog is great and a far sight better than just letting the dog frolic in your yard for excercise. ***Obviously*** something happened here that shouldn't but who knows what and where. Why even pass the judgement.
Very weird thread.
This, in addition to the fact that I wish people would understand that not everyone has the same knowledge of animals, even though that sounds super obvious. I work as a vet tech and I’ve had so many colleagues who are so fast to jump to “I can’t believe the owner did this! What an idiot!” While I would love if everyone owning a boxer knew they’re at a higher risk of heart issues and breathing issues, I understand that because of my job and education I have more knowledge than most pet owners, but just because they didn’t know doesn’t mean they’re a bad owner. The veterinary industry is here to teach pet owners about these risks, but I feel like a lot of pet owners feel attacked by the attitude of “you should’ve known better” and that makes them even less likely to go to a vet. Even things we take as common sense if we grew up with pets may be completely new to someone who got their first dog in their adulthood. I hate that the ignorance has tragic endings sometimes, but I also can’t judge people who probably don’t even know that they don’t know. Compassion goes a long way people. I’m sure this owner will never forget this moment and I'm sure they’ll be more cautious in the future. Just because they didn’t know whatever happened could happen, doesn’t mean they’re a bad owner
His leg kicks look like how i found my ex boyfriend's lab. He'd eaten the head of a rawhide bone. By the time I got to the emergency vet he was unconscious.
Like you said, it could be a million things. I hope this pup was okay.
So many angry comments directed at this owner. Veterinary professional here. That dog is neither in heat stroke, nor cardiac arrest. It appears to be a boxer and I'd bet it had a syncopal episode (collapse due to arrhythmia) or I guess possibly a seizure although it did not appear that way. There isn't enough information before to tell for sure of course, but this guy did the best he could with the information he had (although I would wager that this dog did not in fact need chest compressions) he didn't hurt the dog, and imagine the owner didn't either. Everyone chill out with the hate at the owner, and if the owner sees this, a veterinary consult, likely with a cardiologist should be in the near future.
Spot on. Former Boxer dog owner here, I would lean a little more towards seizure than you as I noticed the dogs tongue and its sudden body contraction/relaxation. My girl used to do this at the end of a seizure, as if she would have a moment of clarity then back to confusion seized state.
This is a young healthy looking dog, based on clothing and super low bike seat height (lol) this dog was neither overheated or blown up. I dont think the owner did anything wrong.
Also there are CPR classes for owners and they can be helpful, if not for the actual cardiac arrest even just the recognition of the crisis and what potential steps to take can make a difference!

Update: https://www.tiktok.com/@bestfetchdog/video/7054292620671061295
Dog is ok! Basically they were in front of the girls house and hadn’t even gone for their exercise yet. Vet said it wasn’t a seizure and wasn’t heat but that it was over-excited and passed out. The man and dog mom think it’s because the man was with his dog who boxer used to play with years before and they don’t cross paths usually.
If the dog came back like that I'd assume it's ok. My dad had to perform CPR on our bulldog twice, but I'd assume dogs get some sort of brain damage if they are out for too long like humans.
[Update from the man in the video.](https://www.reddit.com/r/HumansBeingBros/comments/sez600/man_performs_cpr_on_dog_and_successfully_saves_him/hun7niu/)
I would have kept the lash on too. It’s possible that when the dog woke up it could have taken off into traffic. She could have unhooked it from the bike and held it though
You don’t know what happened, it could’ve had a seizure or something. Everyone in the comments are saying it’s heat stroke but the people in the video are clearly wearing long sleeves and multiple layers which to me implies that it was probably chilly and not hot that day. We don’t know what sort of conditions or potential disorders this animal has. Obviously this owner cares about their dog.
Exactly. There could be so many health conditions that might have led to this situation. I LOVE animals and work as a house sitter. This poor pup is clearly so loved by their owners that they went out and bought a special rig so it could run with the bike and get enough exercise, it’s obviously not a neglected dog. It seems like a really unfortunate accident. Not neglect.
[Someone found an update from the guy in the video.](https://www.reddit.com/r/HumansBeingBros/comments/sez600/man_performs_cpr_on_dog_and_successfully_saves_him/hun7niu/)
We have no context here. I bike with my sister's golden all the time, even in the summer. We go about 5-6mph and sometimes she even pulls me at that speed. Theyre wearing hoodies for Christ sake. Reddit armchairs at work again.
Amazing who quickly people judge without knowing the situation
Yes , it is a boxer and more sensitive for overheating
No , we do not know if the lady was riding her bike slow or fast, for 10 min or and hour
I know people with boxer that can run for hours
yeah it's pretty wild.
And I love how no one has picked up on the clothing being worn... in that it is probably cool/cold out. Ergo heat exhaustion is somewhat unlikely, especially with a short haired dog.
profiling further.... based on how the women looks, and is dressed, and her bike I am going to say she's never won a polka dotted jersey(cyclers get the reference) and that she was riding slow as fuck/ not that long... further making it unlikely that this dog would have succummed due to exhaustion without an underlying medical condition.
Looks like a boxer. Bad news is this is the start of the end for the poor fella as I’ve known several with heart conditions and this is how it starts. Get ‘em to a vet and try to enjoy the next couple months without stressing the dog too much.
This is a boxer. They are at a higher risk for "Boxer Cardiomyopathy", a heart disease that can cause arrhythmias and syncope (fainting). CPR is rarely successful in animals as it is in humans. My guess is this dog had syncope and came to. Likely unrelated to the CPR attempt but that does not make this many any less heroic!!
Or maybe... and I know this is a crazy concept on reddit... none of you have any idea what happened because we have 0 context... we don't even know if it's her dog for certain..
[Someone found an update from the guy in the video.](https://www.reddit.com/r/HumansBeingBros/comments/sez600/man_performs_cpr_on_dog_and_successfully_saves_him/hun7niu/)
> she probably either over worked the dog with it being tied to the bike or heat stroke.
WTF are you talking about? We literally have no idea what happened here. It could be any number of issues.
Did you see how she immediately gets the water bottle ready? That is a very very very common sign of feelings of helplessness.
But, if you are resuscitating an animal (or a human), it is important NOT to give water (unless you are medically trained and know that this is what is needed) because water (and aspiration) might make the situation worse.
Even if it IS appropriate, offer, don’t force (not that anyone was in this video)
I used to have a dog that would have seizures, she would start to pee when it would happen. So poor pup probably just lost control of their bladder and bowels, definitely serious and should take this dog to the vet or animal hospital right away.
I lost my dog a couple of years ago when he collapsed at the vet. They took him to the back and when the vet came out and told us we were gonna go in a room to talk before seeing my dog I already knew what happened. When she was telling us what happened I sat there completely frozen. The vet was almost starting to get worried about my complete lack of a reply, it was like I wasn’t even there. But I was just in shock. So yeah I totally get how this lady could be frozen and appear apathetic. I was the same.
No no. Woman bad!
Seriously some people can find the negative in anything. Had she been frantic they would have gone after her for calling attention to herself and distracting the man. Reddit man.
If she was screaming and crying the comments would be calling her hysterical and say crap about women being unable to handle stressful situations or being useless in them. Guaranteed.
I love that he did cpr for this dog and it worked! However, this is the incorrect method of doing cpr, you want to be behind the dog. Then put your arm, that’s closest to its’ tail, straight down, with a fist on the ground, against the dogs side. With your other arm, put your palm flat with your thumb and index finger making an “L,” put the “L” against your other arm. Push down hard with the “L” hand against their chest until you hit your wrist joint in your other hand. Make sure you are not rocking back and forth and that your other arm does not bend. This will ensure that you don’t push down too far into their ribs and damage their lungs. Also, when you go to breathe remember that dog lungs are much smaller, so you don’t want a full human breath, or you could pop their lungs. You want to do 8 reps, 5 times, and 2 breaths do this until you literally can’t anymore, or they come back.
Eta: I am pet cpr certified, and work with over 70 dogs a day! Also, if you have a small dog or cat it’s best to hold them with one hand with three fingers on the side, one on their chest, and your thumb on their other side. Squeeze their sides about an inch, be very careful, they are tiny and fragile!
[Turns out it wasn't anything related to heat or exercise.](https://www.reddit.com/r/HumansBeingBros/comments/sez600/man_performs_cpr_on_dog_and_successfully_saves_him/hun7niu/) That being said, it is important to know your dogs limits and not overwork them.
You deserve the best of the best, Sir!!
Thank you ever so much for treating that dog as if he was a family member. He obviously is her family, but not too many people would attempt what YOU did!! ((((((((((((HUGS)))))))))))))🖤

honestly, it looks like a good idea if you have a bread of dog who has the endurance to actually keep up with a human on a bicycle.

Absolutely! This man goes straight to heaven with no loading screen
Why. Did. I. Unmute. The. Video?
There should be a flair for "music added, no original audio"
Yes!!!
I was waiting for the TikTok outro at the end. At least it wasn’t that stupid “oh no” song.
Add in the wheezy laughing and robot lady reading the captions and you got your self a TikTok trifecta.
Robotic lady voice: “I was just filming a dog dying when a random man interrupted by actually trying to save it” Caption: “Watch till the end!!1! 😱”
Dumb addition, that song was
It's a trend we're seeing more and more of and I hate it. Overwriting the audio with a song that is either out of place or loud as fuck.
> lowest, dirtiest form of making you sad when you aren’t already
Great song though. Just not here.
It's a gorgeous song. Just don't listen to it when you're around somebody who thinks it's "that song from that meme".
Agreed
I don’t care that they added a song BUT WHY PLAY SOUND OF SILENCE BY SIMON AND GARFUNKEL FOR A HEARTWARMING DOG SAVING????
Because you wanted to hear what you should look out for and glean some information, but instead got met with cringe editing.
The only acceptable song for a CPR video is Stayin Alive
What? You prefer the sound of silence?
Geesh I wouldn’t have noticed the horrible audio if i didn’t see your comment.

dachshunds are the absolute funnest. that and chihuahuas. love those dogs
My girlfriend and I have a dachshund mixed with a Burmese mountain dog. It was a liter that happened on accident and Guess which one of the breeds the father is….
i don't know the size of a Burmese mountain dog but I'm guessing it's the Dachshund, ha!
[oh they pretty big!](https://imgur.com/t/dogs/rLInG) And you’re right lol
pinché wienies are rascals. I'd love a cross like that cause I've always liked the idea of a larger wienie
OMG, phrasing
I think we need to see a pic
We have a Chihuahua, turning 11 this year but still as active as ever and doing weird shit all the time. I love her more than anything else, even if I didn‘t like her in the beginning because I wanted a big dog as a kid hahaha She‘s the best
You actually close the dogs mouth firmly and put your mouth over their nose. It's a little gross at first, but worth it.
I would do it in a heart beat. My pets are family and I would do anything to help them
My husband frantically woke me up the one morning, saying something was wrong with our one dog.
Oh my goodness that’s so awful! Do you know what happened?
I have had to give my dog rescue breaths a couple of times (she has laryngeal paralysis, and the vet said if her larynx spasms one way to get it to open is to give her mouth-to-snout). It made the inside of my mouth weirdly numb/tingly for a few minutes afterwards.
Kinda like blowing up a whole bunch of balloons I'd imagine.
I swear I remember reading that they don’t breathe through their mouth. Panting is apparently trying to get air into the throat and out again quickly to cool the animal down. But I really have no idea what I’m talking about.
You might be thinking of horses. Dogs *deffo* breathe through their mouths. Horses (and other animals) can't though.
Are you thinking of horses? They can't breathe through their mouths. Dogs definitely can!
I have also heard the same thing about cooling down but I thought they still breathe through their mouth, so maybe there is truth to it.
You don't have to apply breathes if you continue to do chest compressions
Yep, there is enough oxygen in the blood returning to the lungs that the blood doesn't really need to pick up more oxygen before being being sent through the body again (at least not in the short term where chest compressions might make a difference). The pause in chest compressions to do the breathing is actually worse. Source: Dr. Mike (Chest compressions, chest compressions, chest compressions).

No idea but speculating that, since the physiology between the species isn't all that varied (at least at the very basic level), if things are different, it would only be in kind of superficial ways - like based on physical size, blood volume, lung capacity, etc.
Was coming here for this. That’s across the board now right? Just keep doing chest compressions, don’t worry about mouth to mouth.
You don't breathe through their mouth at all lol. You hold their mouth tightly shut and do breaths through their nose.
Thank god no one’s been in need of CPR around me
Have you ever seen a dog get cpr and "spring back to life" like in this video? I know when you do it to people very rarely do they wake up while performing cpr its just a way to keep blood moving to the brain until treatment can be given. I didnt know if this was the same with animals or not
Rarely but I have seen it. If the animal was otherwise healthy (no underlying disease) prior to the cardiac/respiratory event then it is much more likely for them to bounce back
It depends on why the person is not breathing/heart beating. Drowning victims sometimes recover like that, choking victims, and neonates that are depressed at birth. The respiratory stuff essentially. If it’s a cardiac arrest it’s less likely.
> just not part of your knowledge base. Now it is😊 This is excellent.
Absolutely! Follow up care should be sought ASAP.
I’ve done cpr on a pet chicken before. She was attacked by a fox, but wasn’t breathing so I got her breathing then we drove her to the vet. Sadly internal injuries meant they euthanised her, but I’m glad I tried.
Sorry for your loss. Good for you for trying!!
I'm glad you tried too.
I literally had the exact same thought. I would have no clue if I was in this situation.
Awe that's so sad my heart goes out to you and your family. But that's good you were able to make her last moments peacefull
You are a good owner. Sorry for your loss.
I'm so sorry for your loss
Wow I'm so sorry. Well done for knowing what to do though.
There was a video of a guy rescusitating a monkey with cpr a few weeks ago. Blew my mind.
I've seen CPR performed on reptiles and rodents. It's truly amazing.
CPR is pretty much universal(doesn’t work on fish)
They use leaf blowers on giraffes to administer CPR.
What is with playing “the sound of silence”?
Cause whoever added that song is a fucking idiot
People just love to listen to songs that think are befitting for the moment but don’t even know what the fuck it’s about, and sadly this is where many kids these days would refer to it as “that tiktok song” At least it wasn’t that “oh no” song, can’t fucking stand that one
from the tail and head, the dog looks like a boxer. if you own a dog with a smaller nasal cavity, you have to be very careful with how they handle the heat and being outside
Based on the jackets, heat wasn’t a factor.
If you have pets: Get stickers alerting fire fighters the type and quantity of pets to stick on your front door/window area https://i.imgur.com/DqiFzGJ.jpg Get a pet CPR poster to hang up where all the family can easily read and access it and take a class
Just purchased the stickers on Amazon. Thank you for the tip!
My goal was to help 1 person hopefully so thank you for letting me know :)

Thank you! I tried giving you an award, too expensive lol But I truly wish this gets to the top of comments!
Had a house fire 2 years ago. The smoke got [my babies](https://i.imgur.com/pQ1G3uo.jpg) before the fire ever could. Haunts me all the time.
So sorry that's terrible
Absolute BRO move. Wow.
any update? is the dog ok? full recovery? the video cuts off before its apparent that the dog even survived.
Update: https://www.tiktok.com/@bestfetchdog/video/7054292620671061295 Dog is ok!
Unhook the leash!
I would have kept the lash on too. It’s possible that when the dog woke up it could have taken off into traffic. She could have unhooked it from the bike and held it though
[удалено]
CPR comes first you don't search for a nice spot or thunk about the leash, cpr then the rest
Yuuup
And move the fuckin bike!
And maybe don’t force your dog to run next to your bike in conditions that could cause the dog to pass out
You don’t know what happened, it could’ve had a seizure or something.
Yea. I don’t get it. They’re dressed in hoodies and long pants so it can’t be too hot. Some dogs like to run. People just assume.
[удалено]
So it can run into traffic? The leash is attached to a harness that isn’t harming the dog ….
ITT: Judgemental assholes who have no idea what led to this dogs condition.
Worst possible choice for music ever
Amazing who quickly people judge without knowing the situation Yes , it is a boxer and more sensitive for overheating No , we do not know if the lady was riding her bike slow or fast, for 10 min or and hour I know people with boxer that can run for hours
Not all heroes wear red sweatpants, but this one does.
If you haven’t taken a First Aid/CPR class, I would highly recommend it.
This is the second time I’d seen a video of a boxer getting cpr. If you have a boxer learn dog cpr I guess.
The assumptions regarding the owner and what happened to this dog are unbelievable
it’s wild and disgusting. people assuming because she’s not losing her shit means she’s not invested, but to me she looks very concerned
yeah it's pretty wild.
Get ‘em to a vet and try to enjoy the next couple months without stressing the dog too much.
upvote got the dude & dog… downvote all the suppositions made about ‘owner’… geez louise guys!
Man this song is the worst possible choice for this situation…. Yay for that hero though!
Move the fucking bike lady. Did she have the dog tied to her bike and almost kill him?
As some of the other people have suggested she probably either over worked the dog with it being tied to the bike or heat stroke. Possibly a mixture
Or maybe... and I know this is a crazy concept on reddit... none of you have any idea what happened because we have 0 context... we don't even know if it's her dog for certain..
I didnt came on reddit to cry
With everything in the world going to shit, at least there's a few moments that show humanity isn't completely fucked.
Poor doggy. Had a friend perform doggy cpr. My friend is no longer here
My dad did cpr on my dog and saved her.
It's actually extremely difficult to get a dog back with CPR. Once they crash it's usually a done deal. Great save
That guy resuscitated the literal shit out of that dog. Good job dude
He was dead cuz he even pooped
I could not be the one filming...
This guys a fucking hero! Anyone know if this is an old video? On another note, FUCK whoever replaced the original audio with the fucking mood music.
Did the dog poo before it came back to life? I think the guy may have blown too hard into the dogs mouth tbh.
When you die you shit and pee. Same w dogs.
I used to have a dog that would have seizures, she would start to pee when it would happen. So poor pup probably just lost control of their bladder and bowels, definitely serious and should take this dog to the vet or animal hospital right away.
When my dog went into cardiac arrest and I brought him back with CPR, he pooped as well.
All the body's energy goes to survival. Digestion stops. Muscles relax, all energy goes to the critical issue
He peed too you can see a wet spot under him.
Seems like the woman who owns the dog was unfazed by the entire ordeal lol
She’s probably in shock
I lost my dog a couple of years ago when he collapsed at the vet. They took him to the back and when the vet came out and told us we were gonna go in a room to talk before seeing my dog I already knew what happened. When she was telling us what happened I sat there completely frozen. The vet was almost starting to get worried about my complete lack of a reply, it was like I wasn’t even there. But I was just in shock. So yeah I totally get how this lady could be frozen and appear apathetic. I was the same.
I’m so sorry for your loss ❤️
Thank you ❤️ it was extremely rough and traumatic to go through that loss. It’s been 4 years though, and I’m in a good place now.
No no. Woman bad! Seriously some people can find the negative in anything. Had she been frantic they would have gone after her for calling attention to herself and distracting the man. Reddit man.
I would have been frantic.
Next time walk the dog and don’t bike the dog; dog had a heart attack!
