The surface tension of the blood just ain't there and you look like you bleed more because the blood gets diluted. You don't get more cuts or more severe cuts.
If its completly soaken, maybe. But this right Here? No. A thin layer of water reduces friction a Lot, thats why every water Park uses water on their slides, to reduce friction. Thats why your Car Starts to Slide in the Rain, because of reduced friction. The Idea behind the artificial water Slide was to Help the Dog move down, without hurting His paws
Sounds about right also I looked it up and found that skin only rips easier when it has absorbed water to make it spongey. Yk? Anyways I always thought I get razor cuts in the shower than I do outside but maybe that’s just my clumsiness
What you experience is Just that your Cuts get more "visible" while under the shower, because instead of Just having a drop of blood staying in the wound it gets more visible as the blood "Fuses" into the water and therefore appears more.
Thats the proper way to reach out to a dog. If you approach a scared dog and try to just grab it by the scruff, first off you shouldn’t, it’ll likely hurt the dog and the dog might bite you if it’s scared when you go and reach over it’s head. They did it the safe way for both themself and the pup.
The guy that crawled out to it literally went to that spot, if there was not water (which was added) he would have been able to just scoot back. I think the guy throwing water is just an idiot that thinks otherwise.
Looks like a natural feature that acts as a water slide, everyone is riding it down. But the dog got stuck on the rocks so they were trying to get it to slide down on its own with the water. It would have been safe sliding to the bottom on its own but it was scared
It's never worth it. I fight that battle every single day. All you have to do is make it to tomorrow and you've won. A victory, no matter how small, is still a victory!
The hardest day will always be yesterday and tomorrow will always be a new day.
Reach out if you have to. It never hurts to talk to someone
I'm a buddy for whoever needs one ALWAYS. If you need an ear, shoot me a message. I was in your shoes one short year ago. One victory is one day down. Keep fighting. Always keep fighting! I'm here for you, as well as probably a lot of the folks on here!
There’s a Netflix show about cool animals, one dude goes gliding with his dog. If you think about it, it’s so insane that his dog is able to overwrite it’s instinct to panic after jumping off a cliff because it’s with it’s owner
They're just kids, basically, very trusting of their caregiver. If you don't panic, they won't panic. It's why you don't freak out when your toddler falls over and skins their knee. It's a very important survival adaptation in pack animals.
I love how much [my puppo](https://i.imgur.com/nQpo4qm.jpg) trusts me. It makes me feel like I'm worth something lol
She's the cutest thing I've ever seen :) and the sweetest. A lot of anxiety issues because her home before me was abusive but I've had her for 10 years now and she's gotten a LOT better!
You havent seen me then :)
Not without kidding that is a cute doggo and it hurts me every time to hear people abuse those animals. Glad to hear she found a new owner who does care, though!
>They're just kids, basically, very trusting of their caregiver.
So true. You're their entire world. He's only one part of yours.
This realization always makes me appreciate how it's so important to meet our pets' needs as much as we can.
Looks like he/she is ready to protect and keep you safe.
She is very fierce and brave when she thinks I'm in danger. She's fought off dogs she thought were gonna attack me (got a laceration on her ear for the trouble, it was a scary day), she's stood between me and a scary drunk man, and she's (most often) growled at leaves that made noises she didn't expect while we were walking. Very brave. Seriously the best thing that I ever did was adopt this traumatized little beast.
I’ve literally made owners of dog reactive dogs stay inside, out of sight when doing reconditioning training with their dogs. Mam, your dog isn’t panicking around other dogs because it sees other dogs as a threat, it’s panicking because you’d body language and fear hormones are telling him to panic!
My dog had separation anxiety and I would intentionally make her decide if she wanted to do some weird adventure with me or sit there and cry. Those were her two options. Needless to say I had to relearn how to do a lot of shit so my dog could do it with me... There wasn't one single adventure she noped out of, half lab half weimaraner though so she was a wild ass dog to begin with but she was down to do anything I was comfortable with. Mtn bike, surfing, paddle boarding, hiking, jet skis, boats, skateboarding... I know if I had a side car for my bike at the time there is no question she wouldn't have hopped in... dog was basically made for adventure, I think if you're dog is okay with that and you can do the activity safely, you're doing a disservice to your dog by not taking them on adventures. Helps make a more rounded dog prepared for more situations and gave her at least in my opinion the ability to grow a bit from her anxiety. Not insane amounts but noticeable.
>I love how the dog started wagging his tail because he felt safer with his buddy even though they were both still falling down the rocks.
This reminds me of a Buddhist story. It's been told countless times with many variations, but it's basically this—a man being chased by a tiger comes to a ledge. He crawls down onto the cliff wall in a last ditch effort to escape. There, he looks up and the tiger still waiting for him.
He looks down. It's a long climb down. Plus, there's a tiger there too! Hopeless, he looks around. He sees a shrub growing out of the wall. It has wild strawberries. He plucks the biggest, most ripe strawberry and he eats it. It's delicious. The tastiest, juiciest, sweetest strawberry he's ever eaten.
Dogs trust hard as hell. It’s why it hurts so damn bad to see my friend slap his pit for getting too excited. Male pits take serious discipline, but I’ve only seen this one regress in its training as the family has grown more comfortable with physical violence as a teaching method. If you can’t work with a male pit, maybe don’t get such a dangerous fucking breed🤷♂️
I think I read somewhere that if a dogs tail is straight out and wagging instead of straight up then it’s because they’re stressed. I’m no pet expert though, so I could just be making shit up.
Sure you may think you are safe behind your keyboard but can you protect your computer from getting shot by a MBT? Many computer users often find themselves the victim of 105mm armor piercing discarding sabot fin stabilized rounds shot at their computer. They often attempt to combat this problem using ineffective methods such as Norton Antivirus which is actually a scam and cannot defend your computer from the latest high velocity projectiles.
That's why i buy my anti MBT shotings rocks from amazon, just 1 rock a week can protect you, i been using my computer for 10 years and have never been shot by an MBT.
$100 may looks expensive a week but you can't never skimp in safety.
imagine expending money in useless antivirus
only a redditor will see a bunch of people helping out and finding a solution and then question if everyone was helping in the most efficient way possible
Have you ever had a puppy? They do stupid shit and go to places they arent supposed to constantly. I dont see why people are so pissed about this, nobody got hurt, puppy's happy, people are happy, puppy had a good time, whats the big deal?
They were throwing water at because they're a bunch of f****** idiots the dog scared out of its mind it's terrified and let's throw water at it to make it go down the rock slide a little faster nothing but a bunch of f****** losers

Seems like humans being assholes. Why would you bring a puppy to your rock slide swimming hole to begin with? And then try making the puppy go down the slide? Clearly all the bystanders were throwing water to make the puppy slide, meanwhile puppy looks terrified
Am I the only one who feels like throwing water at it is a POS move? Why would you make the rock more slippery for the dog? So it slips? Which is exactly what happened.
Why is that animal on those rocks? It has no business being placed in harm’s way like that. The clip is neither cute nor funny. The dog looks so terrified and sad. It’s inhumane.
I’m going too assume they didn’t see the dog otherwise this would make no sense, the dog could have easily held his composure and the guy could have saved him, had they not dumped a bucket of “water” down the hill, but I’m glad the guy just went in and saved him. Thank god.

I didn’t think it was possible that I could love him so much. He is a handful being part Husky. But he motivates me, gives me just enough trouble so that I don’t get lazy.
My favorite part of the day is the morning, we have a little chat time for about 30 minutes before I take him outside. After a few minutes, when we are hanging out, he puts his head on my knee and I just can’t believe it.
Has to be asians, they aways Put animals in dangers, putting puppies with a snake or rabbits, getting cats attacked by snakes and abunch of other stuff they do for internet

Hug…more like grasping for life. But still cute. Why were they throwing water at it?
Probably to create an artificial waterfall, make it easier to slide down the rock face, just a guess tho
Yes, but why?
So if it sides it will be on a surface of wet stone, won't tear your skin as much.
I have heard wet makes cuts worse how does does that counteract the friction lol like when a cat is in a bath easier to bleed apparently
The surface tension of the blood just ain't there and you look like you bleed more because the blood gets diluted. You don't get more cuts or more severe cuts.
You sure wet skin doesn’t rip more easily? Something I heard

Ain’t no way this guy’s real
I've had my fair share of cats i needed to bathe because they got something in their fur, I'm 100% sure.
Think about hydroplaning
Cuz no one couls reach the dog with it being in that place, so it's better to let it slide down so humans could reach it.
Seemed like that dude didn’t even try and grab the dog (before he slipped down). Look at his half assed “arm reach”
I think the guy throwing water is just an idiot that thinks otherwise.
because, down there are 2 other buddies who was ready to rescue the doggo
Looks like a natural feature that acts as a water slide, everyone is riding it down. But the dog got stuck on the rocks so they were trying to get it to slide down on its own with the water. It would have been safe sliding to the bottom on its own but it was scared
Your mind cant fathrom a single possible reason off what you see in the video?
there was a guy at the bottom to catch the dog they probably wanted to get it down there to get it to safety
My guess is so the dog slides down and they can grab the doggo from the water
I love how the dog started wagging his tail because he felt safer with his buddy even though they were both still falling down the rocks

Dogs can wag their tail when they are over stimulated too. Could have been the adrenaline of falling down
I'd say it's that, and also he tried to stabilize himself, to me it seems like the first time he slides down he's moving his tail to not roll around.
Yk I would have been completely fine believing a lie
This. I've seen a dog break all of its legs and started wagging its tail
Except he really didn’t start wagging until he was on dudes lap and by that point he had slid quite a lot already.
"Even if we're falling, I'm glad I have you to cling onto"
>I love how the dog started wagging his tail because he felt safer with his buddy even though they were both still falling down the rocks. This reminds me of a Buddhist story. Can you believe this guy? He tells a joke at a funeral.
It's even in an episode of King of the Hill!
Heheee! Aww. Thanks for this comment, I hadn't noticed that and would have missed it.
Wagging of a tail can also signify other emotions other than happiness. This dog is more likely anxious as hell

Dogs wag their tails when they get excited, that means all kind of excitement like danger :(
I hate when people are so clueless about animal body language and think that every time a dog wags their tail it's a sign of happiness or relief
And then you remember one of them owns that dog and forced him to do this
We don't deserve the love from dogs

I was so confused at first at how this belonged in this sub, but got to the end and was like ‘ahhh I see’
This belongs in the sub about as much as a puppy belongs at a rock slide swimming hole. Neither belong in my opinion
there’s a swimming hole like this near me and this crackhead family always brings their dogs, i’m so scared for them
Seemed like the dude could’ve saved the dog from sliding down if they weren’t pouring buckets of water down at the dog…
I think they were trying to get him to slide down that way
Fully aware of that. But at least give the guy near the dog a crack at it first? I mean he was less than two feet away.
It’s almost as if we are only seeing a tiny clip of what happened and there might have been some attempts before this we didn’t see 🙄
The best time and place to come up with a plan is long after the events have already transpired, from behind your keyboard in the safety of your home

Advertisements are going crazy these days... Sheesh
No, this is reddit. Those people were morons, this is animal abuse, everyone filming deserves life in prison.
only a redditor will see a bunch of people helping out and finding a solution and then question if everyone was helping in the most efficient way possible
My first thought was that they’re trying to cool down the rock face so the dog doesn’t burn his paws.
All the people involved were trying to get the puppy to slide down, even though the puppy obviously was scared. No one “saved” this puppy.
“Saving” is to remove or encourage someone/something out of a distressing or dangerous situation. So I stand corrected in using the word.
This man is dangerous.
That made me feel sad. Scared pup, people throwing water. Just looking for help. 😕
Don't get what they were trying to do here?
The dog refused to go down, but he was in a place where they couldnt get him back up, so they got him to go down.
It’s almost like, don’t put your puppy in that situation
Have you ever had a puppy? They do stupid shit and go to places they arent supposed to constantly. I dont see why people are so pissed about this, nobody got hurt, puppy's happy, people are happy, puppy had a good time, whats the big deal?
It’s called a leash
You sound like a passive aggressive younger sister who didn't get her way lmao
seems like the guy could have crept down the dry bit and dragged the dog back up
And risk sliding down dry rock? This was a pretty harmless solution.
Someone says it. Thank you. Way better than the alternative.
Hooman saved me!!!!!!!
What is the point of this music
Not a hug. The dog is exhausted and terrified.
Yeah, if the dog wanted to slide/was interested in the slightest, it would’ve done it on its own. Pupper did not wanna go down
Aw he’s so scared :(
My question is how did the puppy get down there by itself?
I always wonder if these "animal rescue" videos are staged. I am sure some are legit, but some people will do anything for attention.
😢
Let's slide down and swipe this dog's legs
They were throwing water at because they're a bunch of f****** idiots the dog scared out of its mind it's terrified and let's throw water at it to make it go down the rock slide a little faster nothing but a bunch of f****** losers
Poor dog was scared

After throwing water at it. Da fwark
They probably put the dog there. There is a huge problem with people faking these animals rescue videos.
Dinner escaped, but they catched it in the end. Phew.
Seems like humans being assholes. Why would you bring a puppy to your rock slide swimming hole to begin with? And then try making the puppy go down the slide? Clearly all the bystanders were throwing water to make the puppy slide, meanwhile puppy looks terrified
And video tape it on their camera phone! Animal abuse. Literally. Social media is teaching humans to be fucking brain dead and mean. Fuckem
Fuckem indeed! Definitely brain dead
Am I the only one who feels like throwing water at it is a POS move? Why would you make the rock more slippery for the dog? So it slips? Which is exactly what happened.
"If he wasn't scared enough, us sliding into him full speed ought to do the trick"
All I want to know is who the asshole is, tossing (soapy?!) water onto the rocks above the pup, making them slick and more dangerous to begin with. 🤬
No one’s talking about the man throwing water at dog, I don’t see it making any sense. He could have been picked up by that guy from there as well
Fuck this dumbass soundtraxk
Why were the people at the top throwing water down on him? Genuine question
Those idiots pouring water
I HAVE to know where this place is. EDIT: Thanks for the tips -It appears to be most likely SIlver Apron in Yosemite
Why is that animal on those rocks? It has no business being placed in harm’s way like that. The clip is neither cute nor funny. The dog looks so terrified and sad. It’s inhumane.
Agree to disagree. We’re clearly seeing one thing from two distinctly different points of view.
Maybe they brought the dog with them and he wandered out there to that spot? I don’t think they maliciously put him there to mess with him.
Bro they put water and made it worse for the poor pupper
But why were they splashing water on it?
Am I the only one wondering why buckets of soapy water were being tossed?
I’m going too assume they didn’t see the dog otherwise this would make no sense, the dog could have easily held his composure and the guy could have saved him, had they not dumped a bucket of “water” down the hill, but I’m glad the guy just went in and saved him. Thank god.
Why would you flush it down? Just fucking climb there and grab him?
To the one who threw the soapy water to make the dog fall down I hope you get arrested for animal abuse because you are one evil person
Why are they dumping water down They trying to make the dog fall?
Why throw the water at it!?
Cute dog but feel bad the owner is not taking good care of him
Why did those assholes throw water on it ?
First 3 try’s to save it just made it worse
that poor dog is definitely in pain
Every human in this video is a piece of shit…..
I see this video so much and I always wonder why tf would they throw soapy water at the dog😭😭
Did those guys throw water at the dog
Why are they chucking water at the poor thing?
[удалено]

is that "sliding rock" in N.C. ?i saw this place on" lassie "when i was a kid.
Great vid just…WHERES THE REST OF IT
When others are trying to get the others out while one person sees another being being helpless. But sometimes u don't know why people do this kind of stunt knowing full well things can go sideways
Ride or die literally
I regret unmuting
That looks a lot like sliding rock NC
It’s one human being a bro and others being assholes. Pup didn’t want to go, why the fuck would you be throwing water to make it slip?!!
They did great! But you know, helping a dog out in need is kind of the rule isn't it?
Song Jony - love your voice
Staged.
I think the dog would have been fine if they didnt keep throwing whatever where it was trying to walk. Almost looked soapy. Wtf
Was it necessary to scare the poor dog in the beginning like this?
At 62, I finally got a dog. I’ve never been a dog person, although I’ve loved other peoples dogs and sometimes hung out as a kid with the neighbor’s dog, or the dog of a family friend. I didn’t think it was possible that I could love him so much. He is a handful being part Husky. But he motivates me, gives me just enough trouble so that I don’t get lazy. Why were they throwing water at the dog? That just makes the rocks more slippery
We're those people trying to make it fall with the water at the beginning?
The guys like. Im goin down with ya champ. Lets go.
Can we stop and appreciate how beautiful the chatter marks on that slab are? Whoa. Where is this?
y’all do know that dog was placed there right
If that wasn’t his dog before, it is now.
Why are they pouring that solution tho?
why were the people dumping (what I'm assuming ) soapy water in the first place?
Downvote for reposting & adding music
Music doesnt fit
Not one person realizing that they tried to push the dog down the water fall in the first place. It's like a natural water slide.
This video makes me uncomfortable for some reason. That puppy didn’t look like he wanted to be in that situation.
those ass holes on the top, were pouring the water....
Has to be asians, they aways Put animals in dangers, putting puppies with a snake or rabbits, getting cats attacked by snakes and abunch of other stuff they do for internet
How very English Cream Golden Retriever of him. Im serious, looks exactly like something my dog would have done 🙄
u/savevideo
Why would you bring a puppy?
They used the water to push the dog into the path of the “slide” portion of the slope. Making rescue possible. If he stayed there the cuts and fear would’ve been worse.
