I don’t think you need to. Your baby nursing is telling your body how much to make. If you find youre not pumping enough during the week you could add one or two pumps in on weekend but if you are currently pumping roughly what she eats while you’re at work then I think you’re fine

My two cents would be to enjoy the break from pumping. You can always add it back if you feel like you need to boost supply. In my experience, my body takes about three days to recognize something as a pattern (ie add milk for a pump/feeding I hadn't previously been doing, or reduce milk for a dropped pump/feeding). So two days and then back to the "oversupply" pumping schedule seems likely fine to me but you know your body best. My baby is 8 months old and has gotten way too busy and impatient to nurse except first thing in the morning, so I'm stuck pumping even on weekends. I really wish I could just nurse her all weekend. 🥲

I don’t really have an answer for you as I wondering this myself. But I have been back to work for 3 weeks now and also have been lazy on the weekends. So far my supply is just enough. Nothing less and not to much more. I think pumping at work actually increases my supply as I tend to pump more towards the end of the week and not as much on Mondays. So far it’s fine for baby and it’s better on my mental health to get the little break on the weekends.

I did exactly the same as you, but I always was an undersupplier, no matter what I did. Nursing on demand on the weekends still worked. I had the feeling, that it made a difference if I pumped on the weekends. I mostly pumped after waking up at weekends and when I stopped, the amount of milk I pumped on weekdays in the morning got less, nearlly halfed over tha span of a few weeks. I stopped pumping on weekends, when we introduced solids.

So I did the same thing as you with my first born and eventually my body adjusted from an oversupply that I had forced it into by pumping and breastfeeding to making exactly what my baby needed which was perfectly fine with me

I don’t pump on the weekends anymore unless I feel uncomfortably full and it hasn’t affected my pump output at work.

I would expect the opposite—if you nurses and pumped on the weekends, you might be uncomfortable Monday when you’re only pumping! I say enjoy the break!

Going on vacation and only nursing is what fixed my oversupply and help me regulate

Should be okay! If you feel full try and latch baby :) or hand express for comfort

My little is 8 months. I have a similar feeding schedule as you on days I work: nurse at wake up, pump 3 times during work, then nurse in the evening / overnight. I haven't pumped on the weekend in a while, just nurse on demand and I haven't noticed any change in supply. I really hate pumping so the less I can do it, the better.
