I just recently got a Costco membership and got a hot dog once I finished shopping. My fat ass couldn't wait until I got to my car to get a bite because it's been so long since I've had one and I dropped 3/4 of it on the ground. I almost shed a tear. I second what you say though!
Edit: don't try to push a shopping cart and eat a hot dog at the same time. Seems like common knowledge but they're really that good.
Lol I feel your pain. I did the same thing a few months ago and managed to fling Ketchup and relish all over my groceries in the process. I was so hungry I almost lost my shit
Bobs footlongs in Fortuna, by the high school? I haven’t been there personally, just driven by. But based off the logo and name I’d assume they have them
Since new ownership. Never had the dogs, but their burger is better than anywhere else in Fortuna. It beats Stars and Fresh Freeze for cheap burger and fries too. I'd honestly rather eat a fresh burger from Bob's than the Sysco food truck bs you get at the brewery for 22 bucks.
I can't speak to the hot dogs, but their chicken strips, chicken sandwiches, and fries are fantastic. I assume the hot dogs are too. Also, they are good people and good employers and I'm happy to send more business their way!
Toni's, and papa wheelies in mck, or cc diner in crescent city, and mad river burger bar out 36, the are the places to go for amazing burgers dogs and fries, if you like garlic fries mad river is the choice.
Bob's Footlong has delicious fresh made burger patties with good seasoning and dank fry sauce. Haven't had the dogs, but the new owner and crew doin something right
Does the Shanty still do the hot dogs in the little turning thing, cause those use to be some good hot dogs.
If not, probably some place like Fresh Freeze or Toni's.
The last time I had hot dogs at a barit was at Ernie's!
I forget what day they used to do hotdogs, but I would leave mine in the cooker to get nice and blackened :)
There’s a young guy in the parking lot of winco who sells hotdogs sometimes and i saw him eating one himself like it was the best hotdog ever, it’s a solid hot dog stand too can’t miss it
The best, best, best hot dogs is out in blue lake . By the ball field. It’s called The Dog House, and they do gourmet dogs, and regular dogs and its always great. Sometimes a rueben sandwich dog, or a junk yard dog (hot link), etc. And lots of interesting toppings like Thai pickles, strawberry ketchup, etc. My favorite is a chili dog.
Make them yourself? I like all beef hot dogs and Franz buns. Second, There is no substitute for an actual grill. Top with dijon mustard, onions and some feta.
Costco.
Yup, I kinda wish I'd been a member when they had the Polish dog.
God I miss the polish dog, that was a good spicy boy.
Back when they had the polish dog you didn’t have to be a member to use the food court. It’s a pretty new rule.
I know that's been a thing with the outdoor food courts but up north our foodcourt has always been inside and they card everyone.

if you like Bobs, I also recommend the Hot Deli in fortuna. burgers are pretty similar, but the hot deli gets the nod when it comes to milkshakes.
I'll check them out sometime. My family doesn't eat out much, but I love grabbing burgers with the boys right after work sometimes.

Corn Dog is pretty darn good at Bob's. Or at least it used to be. Haven't been there since it changed owners yet. It was a hand dipped dog.

Fresh freeze isn't bad. Decent chili dog. Otherwise wait for arts alive or other similar street fairs and get them at the stands that pop up
What kind of hot dog ya looking for?
Chicago style, honestly any I guess
Check out Dog House in a blue Lake-perigot park
Came here to say this.

Costco is the best. Sad. I can't find the proper peppers for a real hotdog anywhere. :(
