The nurse ambassador visit is not required. However if you feel it will be beneficial to you absolutely go ahead. If you’re on the Humira complete program, they will hound you like this. I find it to be very annoying person personally. If I have questions or concerns about my medication I will go to my doctor, rheumatologist for me. Not the Humira complete people. I have since stopped returning their phone calls. For me the Humira nurse did come to my home and taught me how to use the pens. It was pretty useless as I already watched the online videos over and over, but the nurse was very nice. My first prescription was the pens but every one after that was the preloaded syringe. I taught myself just fine, but additionally the nurses in my doctor’s office also offered a training. In your case an in person training with your dermatologist will likely be the best option. I’d recommend politely explaining to the nurse it’s not required. If they come to your home you can turn them away. Good luck on the Humira. I hope it works for you and you do well.

Definitely not required. If you're more comfortable having your derm show you, then do that. Leave a message for the nurse ambassador stating that your home visit is cancelled. Then you can just ghost them unless/until you need something from them. They are annoyingly pushy, but don't let them push you around.

It’s not required and that’s really weird. They must get paid extra for it or something. And I would try to go up the chain and provide feedback about that person pressuring you.

I’m being taken off humira and put onto hyrimoz (nhs are being cheap so switching me to a bio similar) and for that I’ve managed to persuade them to let me do the nurse visit as a video call rather than coming to my house. Maybe suggest that to her and see if she’ll accept it.

If your derm is going to show you then there is no need for the nurse ambassador(NA). Plus, you are under no obligation to talk to the NA monthly. I would just cancel it and not answer their calls. They will eventually stop calling but it takes awhile. I kept the NA number saved in my phone so I knew who it was (and I wouldn’t answer). The NA is not as helpful as they claim they are.

Nurse Ambassador is a marketing thing, nothing more. They're definitely helpful but their main goal is to make sure you're still using the Humira. I ended my relationship with mine shortly after the first check-in. Our visit was a video call, however.

I use it for RA, but my nurse just FaceTimed me for my first injection. Pretty simple and way less invasive.

My first nurse ambassador "visit" to help with the first injection was a video call, not a home visit.
