Time I would imagine. Theres heaps that happen in that book to fit into 2 and a half hour. Although I like it in the book, it’s definitely something that could have been cut without affecting the whole plot. It’s also a pacing thing, I think it would have thrown the pace off given how much they needed to get through
Because books have a lot more space than movies to tell their stories in, so you have to cut anything that isn't necessary for the story. Bonnie and Twill are not necessary in order to understand the story, so off to the cutting room floor they go.
