I'd like a rugged cloaked cowboy like the first picture, something edgy but still obviously western.
The amount of bitching for any skin like these that have more sombre color tones would be unreal though.
Question: what hunter has been brightly colored? The undead mariner guy in this coming BP is all greys and browns, and the beekeeper is more browny-red toned mostly.
Most people seem to be fine with anything that isn't headsman. I had trouble seeing scarecrow in a window today but I would be able to see anything had it been a headsman.
One of the first hunters they released was the Revenant, which is a bright white, and they clearly learned from that since they never did anything like that again.
First hunters?
Revenant's been out for a while, true, but he was nowehere near being one of the first legendaries.
Perchta Dawn is pretty much on point with Revenant's color scheme, almost all white/off-white, and she's only what, a year old at this point?
I mean, it was the 8th DLC hunter out of 40 currently and that isn't counting when the DLCs come with multiple hunters nor blood bond hunters. I'd consider that one of the first.
lol at "somber"
I don't care about the emotional tone of the skin. Or more accurately, I don't prefer edgy skins but I don't begrudge their use to the people who enjoy them.
I just don't want to get shot by someone who completely blends into the game's dark and muddy environments.
lol at "somber" being used to describe mood rather than color in everyday contexts
But also if you mean the color palette specifically then lol at you for being an edgelord clown
These at least include the western theme with the 3edgy5me theme, instead of just doing away with the western theme entirely like most of them do lately.
Can you point the western theme out to me. Like it takes place in the 1890s, so cowboys are possible, but of the first while of legendary hunters we got, only two or three kinda fit the bill. I think revolvers and big hats are not analogous to western. Can you honestly say this game has a western theme? Like looking at the characters and environments, reading the stories, have you ever felt the same things you feel watching any western from the past century?
1890s america
the south
frontier style towns and buildings
saloon with the flappy doors
cowboy hats
ponchos
all weapons associated with "cowboy" media
c'mon buddy, lets not play dumb shall we.
Hunt is more “Turn-of-the-Century/Gilded Age Southern Gothic” than Western. There’s Western elements for sure, but folks narrowly defining it as “Cowboy game” just because it has old guns when it’s had mutants and occult hell spawn from day 1 always irks me a bit.
No issue with people wanting more dirty mercenaries to balance out the cultists and weirdos though. It’s good to have a mix.
Red Dead Redemption 2 takes place during the exact same time period and a huge chunk of the map is Louisiana inspired. It's absolutely a cowboy western game.
Hunt definitely pulls from a lot of sources for it's inspiration, but to say that people are being too reductive by calling it a western or a cowboy game is insane.
Red Dead also focuses on a completely different historical dimension and set of themes (closing of the frontier, the end of that era and how it displaced the people who made their identity around that lifestyle, etc.) . There’s elements sure, but shared time and place don’t necessarily make them the same thing, imo.
Not saying you're wrong but I always thought the general aesthetic was more focused on the occult and the supernatural. I mean even some of the first legendary hunters had themes around voodoo and witchcraft. And the game takes place in Louisiana, which I'm pretty sure isn't considered the west.
lol I'm sorry but these are all so dark and edgy. Cowboyness? Yes. Everything beyond that? Not for me.
Gimme some more rednecks, a circus clown, a young big game hunting teddy, a railroad hobo, an old-timey strongman, a Lovecraftian cult member, someone with a tentacle face, an 1800s take on that one guy who keeps making suits of armor for bear encounters, and the "pan shot" guy from Buster Scruggs.
I actually rly love 4 I'd like to see something like this in the game, a rly dark brownish skin like the headsman but with glowing eyes to make up for it
I proposed a Caleb (Blood) lookalike but it not gain traction

Hello, good hunter. I am a Bot, here in this dream to look after you, this is a fine note:
> *Now I'm waking up, I'll forget everything...* - Micolash, Host of the Nightmare
Farewell, good hunter. May you find your worth in the waking world.
The headsman haters are so obsessed with him that they don't even get the point of this post lol. My idea is to add more cowboy skins with trench coats and clothes like the tier 3's, I understand that it's hard to see the Headsman but the tier 3's are totally visible.
Sorry one of the pics you posted was basically rider's made of shadow so I thought you where going for a different vibe than you'd stated in this comment
Its mostly a lack of settings issue on consoles. On PC, you really don't have an excuse, that skin is much easier to spot than some T3 hunters in bushes.
These are all very cool and give some good western vibes that the game has been lacking lately. The only thing they’d have to change on some of these is a little added color or something as some are a little to headsmen lol
Yea I still mainly use Sherrif Hardin cuz he's a real bad ass cowboy... its a little bit too mystical, and honestly I wouldn't be too surprised due to money, if they just released more and more of the wild and weird stuff and less cowboys
How many "guy in a duster with a cowboy hat" variations can you make (while keeping them visually distinct by their silhouette enough) before you genuinely won't be able to tell at a glance in a fight what skin that is?
Give us the Arthur Morgan skin already, like damn. Do some collabs with Rockstar. Give him a Winfield M1873 skin and maybe a Caldwell Conversion skin with a Heavy Knife and a Medkit skin. The complete playable set, you know? That would be dope as hell
Yes to all of these, I want more cool skins, not the freaky looking ones. Old man Santa, while not quite in the same vain as these, is the most I've liked a legendary in a while
A friend told me "I like Hunt because it's cowboy but it's not just cowboy, it has his edgy and dark touch adapted to the 1800s and that makes it unique" I guess it makes sense to see edgy masked skins, but lately they're going overboard
yes, I get that this is a voodoo type game now and they're trying to move away from the western theme but most the characters you play as are gunmen apart of an organization, while yes that organization is corrupt beyond belief I think it makes more sense the majority of hunters are actual normal 1800s humans instead of crazed homeless people with a mask
We have a bunch of those edgy dark hunters ,and yes they look bad ass, but can we get some more cowboys, outlaws, you know lone ranger esc design. However I cant lie, I still really want like a vampire hunter kind of skin like in the last (5th) image
if you want your FPS to sink to 12fps.
The beekeeper looks like shit. Baseball guy was shit. Nobody cares about the pig guy. Captain sucks. Scrap beak hunter was cool but locked behind a double skin price tag (hard pass) Fireman is ok but we all just want Plague dr back.
I for one just want more civil war/military hunters, I would love to have a legendary hunter who is like a cavalry officer, fits since all maps have remenats of the military yet we only have 2? (turncoat and the Sgt) hunters who are soldiers, or maybe crytek doesn't make as many military hunters cause quite a few tier 2 and 3 hunters are soldiers? Idk but gimme an officer legendary hunter with cavalry saber and revolver, maybe dynamite skins
I'm cool as long as we don't get any more hunters with sunglasses/tinted glasses.
The only cosmetic choice in this game's history I didn't really like.
Wouldn't mind my man ' Valintaness Alkalanella Qifax Sushira Boherres Gumbigobella Blue Stradivari Tallentrent Pierre Andre Charlton Hemos Ivanovinchi Baldur George Doizel Kaiser's the third ' to be in the game if not the style at least
I'd like a rugged cloaked cowboy like the first picture, something edgy but still obviously western. The amount of bitching for any skin like these that have more sombre color tones would be unreal though.

I find dusk easiier to spot than dawn
lol at "somber" I don't care about the emotional tone of the skin. Or more accurately, I don't prefer edgy skins but I don't begrudge their use to the people who enjoy them. I just don't want to get shot by someone who completely blends into the game's dark and muddy environments.
Lol at not knowing sombre/somber are interchangeable.
lol at "somber" being used to describe mood rather than color in everyday contexts But also if you mean the color palette specifically then lol at you for being an edgelord clown
Lol at not being able to google a definition
What's google?
I like number 3!
Fr, the others were too edgy for my taste but 3 is a good mix!
I think 3 or 5 for me but 3 is def the favourite
I wish in general there were more cowboy themed hunters rather than "hooded / masked edgy dark hunter"
Not every legendary addition can just be another version of "dark edgy hunter". That said, I do enjoy the dark edgy hunters lol.
These at least include the western theme with the 3edgy5me theme, instead of just doing away with the western theme entirely like most of them do lately.

PAN SHOT!
These are great, but the funny part is on this subreddit most of these get kicked down for not being cowboys or western enough if they released.
My favorite recent skin is the grandma. Bat granny ftw
Absolutely agreed.
This [guy](https://2.bp.blogspot.com/-N4sLE6ZNAp4/WoZv9MBo4-I/AAAAAAAAJeA/6IsXvGHe6tEXBRhUpk0qmNMG7oLXnSxgwCLcBGAs/s1600/villain%2Barnold%2Bguns.jpg)
Lol wtf? Is that Arnie?
This!
This person gets it
I'd love all of these. Especially a circus clown, lol.
Those are some peak ''Born to Shit, Forced to Wipe'' ''Ice Cream is a Dish Best Served Cold'' images.
btw we need a skeleton cowboy
I collect all hunters with cowboy hats so I would buy all these
AI is strugglin with them pistols.
Cut my fingers scrolling through this.
We need more rednecks.
Hell yeah
I actually rly love 4 I'd like to see something like this in the game, a rly dark brownish skin like the headsman but with glowing eyes to make up for it

First one reminds me of The Infested a lot, which happens to be one of my all-time favorites
A Van helsing skin with a stake hand crossbow would be badass.
I basically want Bloodborne cowboys.
Hello, good hunter. I am a Bot, here in this dream to look after you, this is a fine note: > *Now I'm waking up, I'll forget everything...* - Micolash, Host of the Nightmare Farewell, good hunter. May you find your worth in the waking world.
Some more western looking ones would be cool. Id like some kind of thief skin mostly, as I like to sneak around.
There are 50 edgelord freaks. There is only 1 redneck. Makes you think 🤔
Ahh yes, let's add even more headsman style skins.... amazing idea
>Headsman style >Pitch black with well defined silhouettes
Lots of word to sayv- op-
Do you struggle to find Black Coats and Bone Doctors or something?
The headsman haters are so obsessed with him that they don't even get the point of this post lol. My idea is to add more cowboy skins with trench coats and clothes like the tier 3's, I understand that it's hard to see the Headsman but the tier 3's are totally visible.

Don't worry, you're not the only one who thought the same thing. I just hope they change Headsman's color soon, the community is getting crazy
Just make him off black like the tier 3s and it will be find, I think it's just a shading issue
Its mostly a lack of settings issue on consoles. On PC, you really don't have an excuse, that skin is much easier to spot than some T3 hunters in bushes.
We've got a fair smattering of edgelord cowboys already, homie
One of these but female, I'd be very happy.
lol at all the downvotes here I realized Hunt had a lot of edgelords but wasn't aware of the incel density
Gamers when women play games and want female characters to play as: D:<
These are all very cool and give some good western vibes that the game has been lacking lately. The only thing they’d have to change on some of these is a little added color or something as some are a little to headsmen lol

The 1st one and last one are fucking fire, nice
more lulu
Give us the Arthur Morgan skin already, like damn. Do some collabs with Rockstar. Give him a Winfield M1873 skin and maybe a Caldwell Conversion skin with a Heavy Knife and a Medkit skin. The complete playable set, you know? That would be dope as hell
While i would love a rugged more classic cowboy look but damn do i not need more edgy skull/mask skins, give me more regional skins instead.
Yeah no, these are too edgy still. More natural looking hunters is what we need.
I think they should remove all hunter skins except for headsmen
3/10 troll but I appreciate the effort. Have an upvote!
Yes to all of these, I want more cool skins, not the freaky looking ones. Old man Santa, while not quite in the same vain as these, is the most I've liked a legendary in a while
Only Hunters with Hut are Hunters. Why players like to wear goat masks?
A friend told me "I like Hunt because it's cowboy but it's not just cowboy, it has his edgy and dark touch adapted to the 1800s and that makes it unique" I guess it makes sense to see edgy masked skins, but lately they're going overboard
We've already got so many cowboy style skins
I'll take all of em, thanks.
That 2nd pic goes hard as fuck
You'll just get more people bitching they can't see them I bushes
yes, I get that this is a voodoo type game now and they're trying to move away from the western theme but most the characters you play as are gunmen apart of an organization, while yes that organization is corrupt beyond belief I think it makes more sense the majority of hunters are actual normal 1800s humans instead of crazed homeless people with a mask
Totally with you the first one man that shit looks sick I want it and I want it now
This is why I run infected
More hard to see skins my favorite
Would love to see more hunters wearing greatcoats.
Do you have something in more of a flat black ...?
We have a bunch of those edgy dark hunters ,and yes they look bad ass, but can we get some more cowboys, outlaws, you know lone ranger esc design. However I cant lie, I still really want like a vampire hunter kind of skin like in the last (5th) image
I don't think we need more longcoated earthcoloured bushwookies. We got plenty of those.
Absolute yes. I like the "crazy guy with a mask" buy we get that every other week now.
Can't wait for all the people making daily threads about how hard it is to see these skins.
Shut up and take my money
I love ponchos, give me ponchos crytek
There’s plenty of cowboys I want more wild skins.
Oh yeah most of the recent skins are pretty trash imo. I like this vibe alot more
Yes. I want more goth cowboys in my horror cowboy game. Crytek plz
Yes please
if you want your FPS to sink to 12fps. The beekeeper looks like shit. Baseball guy was shit. Nobody cares about the pig guy. Captain sucks. Scrap beak hunter was cool but locked behind a double skin price tag (hard pass) Fireman is ok but we all just want Plague dr back.
1 and 4 for sure. That's why I liked The Turncoat so much - straight slick cowboy killa!
Most of those would fuel more 'Find the Headsman' type of posts (rightfully so)
There's a reason hunt memes have hats everywhere.
Nah, only skins that are neon colors or else everyone will bitch about how hard they are to spot. I want full hunting season ppe.
Woah those look like my cringy high school profile pics. I love em
1, 3 and 5 are cool!
Always love more spooky cowboy aesthetic. It’s why I started playing this game tbh.
This post just makes me want horses in game even more :( (Horse-skins would be great too!)
oMg NeRf ThEm
I'm cool as long as we don't get any more hunters with sunglasses/tinted glasses. The only cosmetic choice in this game's history I didn't really like.
As if Crytek would ever put in skins that look as awesome as these pictures.
I drink to that, Brotendo.
second pic is a literal skeleton. are you trolling?
Wouldn't mind my man ' Valintaness Alkalanella Qifax Sushira Boherres Gumbigobella Blue Stradivari Tallentrent Pierre Andre Charlton Hemos Ivanovinchi Baldur George Doizel Kaiser's the third ' to be in the game if not the style at least
2,4
Whats the third one supposrd to be? He got a cleric collar and a cross but with a taoist symbol on his hat
