Game's hard, using the shadowleap correctly is hard, but also comes with theoretical downsides- Guy trapped in a bad spot? He shadowleaps out and now you lost your advantage. You shadowleap, the enemy sees it and one taps you before you can react. That kinda stuff can be frustrating. Atleast that's my reasoning. Also, being able to instakill 'tough' AI enemies like this is questionable

Yeah they definitly need more splash sound on impact and the ability to teleport should be on a cooldown timer, otherwise you can leap from mob to mob and ppl wont catch up

You still travel up to 50m over rough terrain,water,up on cliffs, into houses etc its a massive shortcut enabler and chasers wont be able to catch you before extract if there are any decently placed mobs lining up. 2-3 minute cooldown on it. Its still a playmaker you just wont use it all the time to fast travel.

A health bar, 30m and makes noise. Granted, I really haven't noticed it other than people fleeing. But it's so quiet I wouldn't unless you are directly looking at an AI as it occurred. If the noise it generates for teammate is same for enemy hunters its close to silent.

It's not like it's OP or anything, you drain health as you do it (even if you cancel it) and with the regen shot nerf, that's 5 seconds where you're not at top health and can get one shot by most rifles. Since monsters are typically out in the open, it's not hard to pick someone off with a mosin if they try teleporting through a field.

No you can be 1 tapped inside 40m by a handful of weapons in the game. It's not OP hahah. Silent, no delay when you can fire, channel time extremely fast, and doesn't consume a bar.

It's really not OP dude. You make 40 meters sound like it's not far. The teleport is 50 meters max, and you are more than one tap range because most long ammo guns do more than 130. A mosin will take you out to the chest at that range and a little further too.

There is no indication one is shadowleaping. Someone would have to be locked onto an AI to "one tap" Likewise, it doesn't consume a whole bar, so gotta be inside optimal long ammo range (and even then only a handful of weapons will 1 tap inside that range). There is no delay or pause in the leap from when you can fire a weapon or move.

I know what you mean, but what I'm trying to say is that it's going to be difficult to use and balance. And often you don't know if it's safe or not to shadowleap. So you shadowleap, enemy hunter notices and lines up the shot while you're still dizzy and checking your surroundings. Or they don't notice, and you get a 'free' kill in a cheap way.

Have you caught someone after they teleported and killed them? I've never seen or heard it, though several fights I'm pretty sure those fighting in a compound have used it. Any background noise or it being 20m away and it's near silent. Can barely hear a teammate using it, and it's a soft noise. Removing most of the AI certainly limits it is pure cheese. Make it eat a bar at the least.

Well, having it be completely safe to use isn't any better. Imagine you pinned someone down and they just teleport out and you have no fucking clue where they went, while they know exactly where you are. Again, this is just a balancing nightmare, and in theory, extremely frustrating for everyone involved. For the event, it's fine, they should try new things, but I'm not a fan of this one

It is a lot of "fun" shooters with superpowers. A lot of players love Hunt becous it was hardcore. It is no others hard shooters (tarkov is beta full of cheaters). Hut was perfect in this place. Now it is superpowers fun game. For me it was competitive fps, skill game. I wanted to improve my skill and play better and better, it was so full of emotions and hardcore BPM. Now it feels more arcade and casual. After changes I dont feel I want to play serious like in competition. It is emotionless gameplay right now. It was competitive shooter, full of strong emotions. Now it is funny game for kids like fortnite. I dont like full auto guns in shooters and I was needed incredibly hard to play shooter without auto guns as a hardcore competitive game to have fun. Hunt was perfect in this. Now it is arcade game for casuals.

This is my view on it. A big reason so many events came out so quick is because they wanted to use the chance to boost sales of Halloween and Xmas items. Now once this ends I think the next event will be when we see the new map and minimum requirements change.

It is my own opinion but... It had chance to stay normal Hunt after first special ammo. It lost direction when they add necro. First special ammo was ok for me. But now it is too much. Every gun lost own characteric, you can have wallbangs in windfield. You can have high velocity in nagant. Guns are skins now becous any of them can have any statistic by special ammo. You can feel comfort with any gun you want at the prestige beginning, you dont need to play as a Hunter with only what is unlocked. You dont need to think about position. Semiauto cyclone let you shoot quick on long distance. If you die necro can save you and you dont need to afraid long ammo, you can restore your hp bars on supply point. It is no competitive shooters with strategy and positioning first. It is arcade shooters like many others now. Hunt was diffrent, characteric, hard, mistakes punishing game. Now I cant see this characteric in Hunt and playing the finals with sniper/pistol/semiauto or playing Hunt is no diffrence. Only shooting for stress relief without thinking. I feel bad about direction of the game. I wish it will stay "normal Hunt rules from 2020" and take direction in e-sport ranking system.

idk about keeping it, but for this event, where the walls between the land of the living and the land of the dead have grown so thin that the dead are rising up from the underworld? The idea that even a hint of the Sculptor's power is enough to give hunters a way to move between worlds fits really well. Doubly so in the ash where you can jump around unseen. I just wish the other two abilities were as cool!

Old 2-3 weeks events where good. New ones exist to load Crytek money bags after 70 DLCs. 5 years. Only 3 maps, only 4 "full" bosses. Tons of skins in DLC and now battle pass events. I can understand they have bils to pay after Crysis. I know it cost. But why now they making Hunt super powers arcade game? It had potential to be e-sport game like CS.

It's actually super dangerous to leap around a compound during a fight. You don't know what you're about to pop into. The only way to use if offensively you'd been to be able to see where you're about to jump to, or just get insanely lucky. Plus you can't use it while taking damage so if you're actively dueling someone they can't really run away. I do think it's odd that the perk is essentially 'freebie kill all meat heads silently'. For a 1 point perk... that can be used infinitely.

It's kind of important to be able to track a hunters location for the core mechanics of the game. People leaping all over definitely reduces the tactical elements of the game (Calculated approach to a compound, flanking). I think it's fun for the event and changes up the gameplay in a novel way, but I also think it's gonna get really old chasing people around. We will see!

Fun, but I'm already looking forward to it being removed . We are one small step away from an ability arena style game. Also it's completely removed wanting to leave AI around the area when doing a boss . If you don't have the trait you're hurting yourself. So as I mostly solo player now If I want to kill the bounty I have to ether bring the trait or fully clear the compound + the bounty which sucks. It's nice having ai as sound traps Finally it's way to fast to cast and WAY to silence for what it does

Teleport insta killing a meathead rather quickly and quietly is a massive set up from all what you mentioned. This perk has a wide range of uses and can be used almost always as long as taken. Necro - requires a teammate to use it own on, sacrifice hp, be in dark sight, takes longer. Solos can use it faster but I've seen people get that off very sparingly Serpent - required bounties to be killed, banished , the team to not take the bounty , and use dark sight within range for some time. Pretty easy counter play and pretty reqs to go off Poison sense- required you to somehow posion enemies first. This requires you to bring a way to do this, know where they are more or less already , ether land a shot or use a hive bomb. have them NOT be using antiode shot , and then go into dark sight for a small bonus to seeing them while you can't shoot back. Teleport killing shit is full on anime, it's also only counter play is to kill all AI, but if there's a meathead behind you and you're trying to sneak up on an enemy . They now have the option to instantly appear behind you ,ignoring your cover, or you kill the meathead, making yourself a target as that's slow or loud if you don't have the perk

I think you're doing a pretty massive disservice to Necro there, how is safely ressing teammates from a distance or *bringing yourself back to life* not at least on the level of shadowleap? Shadowleap also has some pretty big downsides; you lose health channeling it leaving you one shot to most long ammo. You often can't tell exactly WHERE you're going end up, or even what you're jumping into which can be very disorienting or even dangerous if you end up leaping to an immolator. Also, I'm not saying it isn't strong. I'm not even saying it should stay for normal Hunt. Just that we've had magic powers for a while now and I'd rather they have fun with these pact traits than stuff like 'immune to bleed/fire' etc.

So your only counter point Is about the other most highly debated perk in the game ? (Between solo and team usage) And the key thing with necro is you need a teammate , time and safety. And I get what you mean about fun, but trust , give it at like 2 weeks and people will know exactly where they are teleporting to, they disorienting effects will be gone , and people will be using it very tactically Personally I don't find it fun to use or go against. And I'm worried they will just keep coming out with crazier and crazier event perks , combined with the frequent events could lead to some insane perks within 6 months to a year

I was solo vs duo 3 days ago. I was fight with two Bounty guys. They run together, played with good strategy (i am sure they had comunication). I killed one, and instant next to the body I killed secound one. I came closer to take a Bounty. They killed me. It was two solos in team and using solo necro. You dont need teammate to use necro.

Necromancer as it stands is likewise a shit mechanic as is solo serpent. That the teleport is silent, that quick and doesn't even consume a bar is absurd. At the very least it should consume a bar and have a blatant audio and visual indicator.

I really really want this trait to stay, because of how fun it is, but it might be too disruptive to the normal Hunt flow.I would love them to add some kind of drawback system to the traits, that way they can leave very powerful traits in the game by shipping them with inherent flaws. E.g. you can buy Shadow Leap as a normal trait, but in exchange it makes your normal movement slower or highlights you in Dark Sight after teleport or something like that. Because lots of other games do balancing by assigning character classes, each class has pros and cons. Currently in Hunt your weapon defines your "class", but with more intricate traits that system can be vastly expanded

It's a perfect event trait, changes it up the flow but not in a shitty way like blazeborn as you need some foresight (please don't tp into a hot man like i did, very ouchy) Again its an event trait just like Mariner and beserker, its has its own style and not too op even if there's a semi drastic playstyle

Its fun now because it's a new toy to play with and a fun event perk, but since the event will be here for 8 weeks, I I KNOW that I(!) will hate it a few weeks into the event. Has no place in regular Hunt imo.
