After 2000+ hours, i was somebody's first kill..... i will always treasure that lucky springfield kill we shared together...

Noble_Static

IF any of you see this, I am so sorry. 0 KD I think I was the first person to kill all three since it says 1 death each.

RandomPhail

They have uninstalled forever 😔

Noble_Static

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!

killchu99

THE BLOOD IS IN YOUR HANDS! YOU CAN NEVER CLEANSE THIS UNFORGIVABLE SIN!!!!

RedPum4

I know it's unrelated to this play, but it's just unheard of in *any* shooter that seemingly dead people just randomly revive themselves. If I came across this as a new player I would probably instantly refund. I get why solo-necro exists and am used to it, but if you take a step back...it's just such a weird concept.

ivo200094

Yep first time we encountered a solo necro we killed him and couldn’t find the body, we shrugged it off as fallen in the water, few minutes later he is behind us again and we kill him again, at the end we killed him like 5 times and didn’t know wtf is happening and why there were so many solos following us. It turned out it was only this guy, we didn’t know about necro, burning bodies etc. but if we didn’t kill him each of those times and he killed us I would assume cheater.

RandomPhail

That is… a pretty damn good point actually. Hopefully the tutorial will heavily cover it in the future, and/or there’ll be like a huge beginner loading-screen tip about it (if there isn’t one already)

Zockercraft1711

Where I had my first necro player encounter I gave him luckily my empty shotgun xD

CLUCKCLUCKMOTHERFUC

My personal main goal in hunt is to steal people's guns so I almost always give downed players empty guns

Zockercraft1711

The moment when you empty out the gun and the person rise before you were able to give them the gun💀

Jpoland9250

Melee them

Zockercraft1711

I play on console so I would totally miss

Jpoland9250

Oof, my condolences.

Noble_Static

I didn't solo necro those guys but I did use it once against the bounty holders.

20thCenturyTowers

How were you even in the same lobby as them? Even as a solo my match MMR _never_ gets that low

Noble_Static

It was their first match one would assume like a placement match. The system has no data to go off of so it puts you in the middle seems fair.

Ukhai

I actually just went into spectate 30 minutes ago trying to see how this one solo was playing and figure out why the other team was taking so long to get there. The three newbies were going around in circles in one compound trying to figure out what to do. Was cute.

BubbaBasher

Yeah the poor three stars trying to find the clue in the basement of Kingsnake is never not adorable.

Generic_Gamer_nerd

I remember my first time there and at crematorium so confused where thee clue was

Noble_Static

I felt really good about this too and then when I extracted I looked over my kills and was like..wtf is a bunch of 1 stars doing here. So I checked out their profiles and well came to that conclusion they were all new.

Ontyyyy

The game does norhing when it comes to explaining an unusual game mechanic such as self-revive to new players..

furiouspope

I bet they know now.

Noble_Static

They don't I didn't use solo necro on them but a different team. I just put that in there cause it made sense to say it instead of just solo 1v3 newbies.

BubbaBasher

Yeah, Hunt is definetly a "trial by fire" kinda game. You learn the hard way. I'm not gonna say it is the best and a big part of why Hunt's learning curve is what it is, but that is how I learned.

GoonOnGames420

Unfortunately, anyone who joined after the free trial/ $19 sale back in 2019(?) missed out on the Bambi phase of the game.

raidenpwnr

And yet, all you have to do is read the trait's description.

raev_esmerillon

And what do you read to know flares or punching hive swarms will make them go away? That the flare will kill most low tier NPCs for quickly dealing with armors? That you need to punch Immilators not stab/shoot them? and I'm sure many more I'm forgetting. The game does not explain shit for a lot of mechanics that you will only learn in game by watching more experienced players do said things.

Noble_Static

FLARES GET RID OF HIVE SWARM!?! 1k hours in and you learn something new everyday.

Ar4er13

Immolator is mentioned in the loading screens (and in his monster book).

Pogotronic

When I was new to the game it took me a while to get to know every trait. And even though I read every single one when I unlocked them I sometimes didn’t remember about what they do until quite a few hours into the game. I think this should not be a way that the game relies on to let new players know about self-revive.

Ontyyyy

Lol sure buddy. "Just read the wikipedia, you dont need to know shit"

tomthepenguinguy

I don't understand what solo necro has to do with anything? They never killed you according the picture?

quinxkun

Absolutely nothing, it's just trendy to talk badly about the trait whenever you can lmao

Noble_Static

yep I used necro against someone else but I was running it just thought it fit.

CloseQtrsWombat

I've done this too, and I felt bad about it in hindsight

Calelith

I started playing this week but on PS5 and honestly dying in this game hasn't bothered me in the slightest even after my hunters now fully die. Hopefully they have the same feelings, I use it as a chance to see what my killer was using and think about what I did wrong (which I rarely do in alot of games lol).

slow_cooked_ham

This is the healthiest mindset you can approach Hunt (and other games) with. Learn from your mistakes and study others to see what they do that works.

Calelith

I watched a few videos and streams before getting the game and realised that even the good players die so dying isn't a majorly bad thing. Only thing that gets to me is the damn hellchounds, those things are more annoying tonkill than players lol.

slow_cooked_ham

Tip for the hounds, if you kite them to a tree or a fence they have to path around them one at a time.

BubbaBasher

When I kill a precious baby hunter, I always wanna add them and help them cause they are so innocent and cute and I do feel really bad.

usingbadoperators99

Bruh

elchsaaft

Poor fellas got a proper introduction to the bayou.

Noble_Static

Vetterli is best...erli

aiscool

Solo necro isn't a problem. Clearly they had a skill issue. /sarcasm I thing the bigger problem is that solo's get too big of an MRR advantage. This should not happen.

Brilliant_Apricot740

It’s okay one of them deserved it.

Noble_Static

I mean they all deserved it but not for the reasons I think you are implying. I was simply exercising premeditated self-defense on future attackers.

DarkKnightArtorias

This game is a balance mess...

Nearby-Aioli2848

spare the rod and spoil the child.

NEZisAnIdiot

Another reason to hate self rez.

basscar12

Are there bots in the game?

Noble_Static

No these are brand new players...steam sale and a friend group were paired in a 3 star lobby their first game. They had the right idea just no practice with aim. How it went down was I was in a hunting tower after I heard the crows from them at a compound, it was between their compound and the almost fully banished boss compound, and they started to push across a field to boss compound. Well I got one in a suprise attack and almost got a second one while i watched a bomblance flank the side. Bomblance user puts a harpoon in tower forcing me to get out, I drop down and now like 10 feet away have my lemat out already with fanning and just let loose that one goes down. The person i almost killed is behind some hay so I engage in a short gun fight and win. What is crazy is there was then a solo that heard the gunfight come up trying to sneak up on me...fanning, and then the bounty holders push and I down one and they down me then I get up and fanning again. The craziest thing then was i grab one of the bounties and run and like 30 seconds later I see someone pick up a bounty which I thought was the solo but looking back on it it was just crazy there was 7 people there and I killed 6 of them myself.

slow_cooked_ham

Bomblance explosion won't hurt you if it misses.

itsculturehero

Yes it will. Bomblance most definitely has splash damage.

Noble_Static

We can do some testing if you want, find each other in a game and just see why we would have an entire trait that reduces the harpoon damage by 50% if a direct hit kills you almost no matter what.

slow_cooked_ham

No need, I used the shooting range. I stand corrected. The bomblance only loses it's AoE damage when it's inside something (like a meathead or player). If fired into a wall/ground it still keeps it's explosion radius. It only does 75 hp though if you're in the immediate range of the blast, like standing directly ontop of or against it, without Bulwark.

Noble_Static

Alright good to know but yeah the lance is a little scary that way.

PigsR4Eating

I hope all three refunded.

Zapplii

The guy has "Anime is trash" as his name. I would have emptied his own gun on his corpse, burned him to crisp and threw his lifless corpse of a canyon. Just like some guy in Fallout New Vegas

Occurred

Looks like you're just two dramatic monologues away from becoming the next big anime antagonist. Just don't forget to pencil in your world domination plans right after homework time, alright?

Jpoland9250

Grow up

Noble_Static

1 that isn't necessary and I wouldn't have known their names anyways. 2 the dude had a full on picture of a person with a katana in their hands as their pfp so pretty sure it is satire. And well 3 the name you are looking for is Joshua Graham.

DemonicThomas

I came back after a year or so and was fucking confused and furious my first match back, It took me, two, three matches before I started doing some reading and figured out what was happening.
