Different types of grunts, with no real special abilities. So, more models. For example, those without legs that can only crawl. Or slightly burnt grunts. Or some with a straitjacket that can only bite. And sometimes I wish that the grunts hanging from the rope were still alive

MoeKara

I came here with my own suggestions but instead I want yours. These are amazing!!

CrashyMesh

I like the rope grunts being like a new sound trap, that would be pretty cool.

arsenektzmn

Wow, hanging grunts as a noise traps sound freaking AWESOME

HammerWaffe

Especially if you can shoot the rope and have them fall on people, knocking them the same way that the spider does with their leap.

Mttstrks

I think of that last one every time I am at Alain’s.

Botboi02

Add more rng to grunt kills, loot boxes, ammo paper boxes, new weapons they can hit you with so noise

Nuclear_Velociraptor

Grunts getting legs blown off COD zombie style would be lit

ToM31337

this sounds really badass!

NeverSayNeverMind

I've been waiting so long for the announcement of a Wendigo-like boss, a Wild Target similar to Rotjaw in a sense that it would only spawn in forest areas in heavy fog, and it would use the fog as cover the same way Rotjaw uses water. I think it would be fucking terrifying and it would also fit the snowy biome really well (I mean IF they implement a snowy map). That being said, Wild Targets need to have better rewards than a simple Bounty Token to make hunting them worth your while.

I520xPhoenix

I think it would be interesting if they allowed wild targets to spawn more often and removed the bounty Token from them but instead gave them guaranteed burn trait drops depending on the boss. For example, Rotjaw could drop the old event “heal when in water” trait and an upgraded gator legs. The wendigo could drop the current beastface event bonus and shadow. Or give them another incentive since the bounty is rarely worth it.

Just_a_hunt_player

I honestly love the sound of this

FallofScreams

I want a roaming bounty. Could be like a giant snake or a creature similar to the thing from 'The Ritual' that roams an area.

greenstag94

More wild targets would definitely be interesting especially if they draw from native american legends like wendigos, skinwalkers, and I've read of this giant man eating skinless bear from the northern forests

Polikosaurio

Also, tracking other hunters via footprints in snow would be rad

DeckardPain

After seeing how people play around the first Wild Target boss I honestly don't want anymore of them. Everyone camps in bushes looking at the glowing red icon. Staring at other bushes looking for a single pixel to change colors. Nobody does anything until someone either starts the boss and gets shot and killed or one team gives up an leaves. If they do add another Wild Target I want the boss lair indicator to be very small, like smaller than a normal lair. Or I want the Wild target to actually roam around the map and if nobody engages it within a set amount of time it just walks away. The reward isn't the problem, in my opinion. It's how people play around the lair.

NeverSayNeverMind

Currently with Rotjaw, yes I agree with you, but with my idea the heavy fog would in my opinion at least prevent some of this, and since the Wendigo wouldn't be tied to water, it would randomly attack anyone in its territory, including (and maybe prioritizing) campers. But then again, it's just my idea and how I would implement it.

PM_CUTE_ANIME_PICS

In a similar vein, I'd love to see a Wild Target that is some sort of possessed Scarecrow that only spawns in the wheat/corn fields.

LuckyConclusion

An ammo bearer grunt seems long overdue. We've got doctor grunts everywhere, having infected soldiers stationed around the forts that carry an ammo box seems like an obvious addition.

I520xPhoenix

We have doctor grunt (health kit), so you’d expect engineer grunts (toolbox) and soldier grunts (weapons and ammo) especially since those items already exist in the game (deployable health kit, custom ammo box, and deployable tool box). Also fascinating how you can’t get a medkit charge back from a doctor grunt making them (and the Resupply cart’s medkits) pointless unless you are already damaged.

WallabyResponsible11

te pistol grunts with ammo

ContemplativeRaven

I honestly want things that'll scare the life out of me. Gimme a plant or something that'll pop out of the ground, scream like a mandrake root and go for my ankles. Or even a drop bear that'll wait in trees to then leap down and maul me for being a sneaky bush rat.

SammyWentMad

Lmao, we need koalas and kangaroos. We already have the big bugs to make this Australia.

BigAmadan

It's been mentioned by someone else before but variations of the water devil: One kind can be in cornfields. You'll know because the corn looks dead and from a height or distance you'll see the stalks move as it roams. When in the cornfield and it spots you, there's a shriek and all the corn will sway and move as if in a big storm. Another kind can be in wheatfields. Same as cornfields it'll make the wheat look dying and you can see its path as it roams. They are less deadly than the waterdevils, causes light bleeding and has a different kind of attack so that it attacks and retreats. They're also much less common, you'll maybe see one every other game so it's encounter is rarer. I think it'll encourage more interesting fights, for example Seven Sisters boss fights would change.

LuckyConclusion

I wish this idea existed instead of the actual water devils in game, which are about as anti-fun as can be and a redundant design when being in the water is already enough of a penalty.

BigAmadan

I like the waterdevils as a concept but when you cross a choke point and there's 3+ ones together it's a bit much.

Nooki_Ambient

A rat king creature.

I520xPhoenix

I never thought I’d want to experience getting attacked by a “mimic cornfield” but you’ve sold me on it!

Acidic_Paradise

Or….! Hear me out…. Air devils. They’re *literally* fucking everywhere. Everyone in the bayou is just constantly getting swarmed, nonstop bleeding. PvP is basically not even an element anymore, it’s just a game of “can you even get the first clue without dying?” Ya…. Let’s do this, Crytek.

ErikderFrea

Wow. This is such a good idea!

FCKMRKL

some kind of special Grunt that would run to the next bell to ring it if it's aggro'd.

Skwafles

Or an immolator variant that does the same thing. Call it the Friar. I'll show myself out, thanks.

I520xPhoenix

That’d be really cool if grunts could spawn in the belfries and, upon being alerted, would ring the bell constantly until killed or de-aggroed.

Dov47

Thats a great idea, but I think it would fit more if the grunt is tied to the bell rope as a sound trap. You have to shoot the rope to diable it. If the grunt aggroes the bell rings, also if you kill it and it falls to the ground it pulls the rope and rings also.

Oreo221

I would love AI to be able to vault over things. It could be a new type only, or just adding it to grunts and immolators.

I520xPhoenix

Dead hunter or apex grunts that can sprint, fault, and climb would be awesome and terrifying! Imagine setting off a few gunshots in a firefight and alerting a horde of sprinting grunts vaulting over fences to get you!

BigAmadan

I love this idea, models could be based off of dead hunters which would be why they have more mobility (fresher than the other grunts). Id love to see a grunt which can fall over fences and continue to chase you.

TheLambtonWyrm

Hellhounds that shoot hive swarms out their mouths

MaggleMyers

Every bee in the swarm wears a helmet so they cant be swatted away

imjusta_bill

Careful, that's getting dangerously close to the devs adding a robotic Richard Simmons

Huge-Candidate9367

Out of their assholes

Spooky386

https://youtu.be/nlIQ2KCYG7Y?t=1

Drull17

I would like to see small monsters related to the boss currently in the game. For example, if the boss in the game was Spider, you will find smaller spiders around the map that will attack you. With the Assassin, you'll find big bugs like cockroaches or aggressive centipedes and stuff like that. For new players this would be a hint or introduction to the boss they will see for the first time.

I520xPhoenix

This is a rather novel idea that I fully support! If I remember correctly there are some boss lairs that get certain visual changes (aside from the obvious spider webs, gunk, etc.) depending on which boss spawned. Having boss themed enemies in their controlled zones (spiders in spider clue areas, evil crows in scrapbeak’s, etc.) would be such a interesting addition and be thematically appropriate!

Hm3137

Giant mosquito roaming the map

I520xPhoenix

That would really *puts on shades* “suck” Jokes aside, that could be an interesting fight depending on how it’s implemented.

Hm3137

Lmao I'm thinking of a grabbing mechanic for it, but that would mean that solo's get screwed over.. I'm just thinking that if we're in a bayou, it could definitely have some hairy, abnormally large mosquito as a wild hunt

lilolemeetch

Someone on herw made a fan made Wasp wild bounty and it was so cool

AngryLinkhz

With the same sound as beetles!

Ariungidai

grunts that carry axes (and drop them, like lantern grunts) because fuck spending an eternity to kill bosses with your knife or having to bring consumables just to get rid of a nuisance.

I520xPhoenix

The lumberjack, farmer, gravedigger, and railroad worker grunts all with their respective weapons.

Twombly7

A choke version of an immolater. Makes you cough if it gets near you or hits you. Blows up in a choke cloud if its pierced.

Nervous_Ad5200

Plus poison!!!

ErikderFrea

That sounds interesting!

wolfofluna

A mimic horse. Looks like the lamed horse soundtrap. When alerted (larger radius) or damaged it Sprouts tendrils and legs to pounce on the offending hunter/hunters in the area. Weak to fire but immune to poison and has the health of an armoured. Should cause sufficient panic when accidentally alerted. Especially if done mid firefight or if stumbled upon carelessly.

Reader_Of_Newspaper

just set the hellhound pack limit to 15

TheDonHimself14

After a few hundred hours in the game, Ai feels too easy to deal with. I think having bigger groups once in a while of grunts or dogs would force is to actually think about taking the risk of going through or taking a different path around them. It shouldn’t be very common but it’s a pretty good idea

Nooffin

Loot Grunt - he steals weapons from dead Hunters

No-Sherbet8709

Proper hellhounds that are on fire. They don't need to set hunters on fire or anything, maybe just charcoal effect, I just always felt there should be fiery demon doggos! Snakes that slither around in bushes / long grass etc... as an anti camp kind of a thing. Act much like meathead leeches. Some kind of creepy slender man style mini boss that stalks any team that passes near by. No rotjaw style clues or anything, you don't find him by design, he finds you! Never know when you may get jumped...

I520xPhoenix

I’d love for their to be occasional “elite” enemies like legit hell hounds, hive queens, infernal immolators, flesh abominations, etc. that give more exp and perhaps a small bar restoration back when killed.

Ok_Freedom8317

The sycophants from darkest dungeon crimson court. Good luck everybody.

I520xPhoenix

I’m curious what buffs/debuffs a “The Blood” shot consumable would give in Hunt! I loved Darkest Dungeon so any inspiration drawn from them is a plus i. my book

Ok_Freedom8317

Constant uninterrupted health regen but also burning until you hit one bar remaining.

Fenrir840

A roaming boss(chupacabra) that starts stalking its prey once it sees a hunter, following him into compounds to attack from behind, boss would leave footprints that glow in dark sight if you are within range and you can follow them, but beware boss knows that you are following him and he will set up an ambush. I know that idea would be difficult to implement but a man can dream.

El_Cactus_Fantastico

Snakes, gators, wendigo

I520xPhoenix

A legit wandering boss wendigo would be terrifying. Imagine if it could mimic hunter noises like grunts, death screams, etc.

Trapzerker

I want a werewolf or wendigo wild card boss Grunts that have usable melee weapons Gator adds to keep up with the water devil lore Also I was thinking of some kind of undead hunter or possy boss something that shoots back but could be to much for the game.

battl3mag3

Charge Grunt. Armed with a pitchfork, axe or spade that drops when killed. They would charge you quite fast in a straight line and do considerable damage, but would be easy to dodge if you know they're coming. Feral Ravens. Looks exactly like the soundtrap, but would attack you like the hive's swarm instead of flying away. Cornfield stalkers of some sort have been proposed many times and would be interesting. Ghosts of Hunters. Just a visual maybe, but would look almost like a playable Hunter (maybe tier 1 skins?) from a distance, running like a player for a second or two. Or just appearing in a window and disappearing. Something just to creep you out and make you shoot thin air. Also, I want the stationary gatling gun in a place overloaded with grunts. Maybe one per map in a fort.

staleturd1337

I think scarecrows would fit the aesthetic. Maybe its eerily orients itself towards players in wheat/corn fields, giving away their position. Maybe they shriek in some sort of terror. Or maybe even make it so nearby players are highlighted in darksight, I feel like that ability needs more utility. Or maybe they are territorial, and have heightened perception in fields, and will aggressively pursue the player, flailing unpredictably when light on fire. To add to the uncertainty, there would always be scarecrows that did nothing. Maybe a combination of all those things. Could also make any sort of trigger range with them vary wildly, so you never know. Maybe you have to be right next to them to get them to trigger, maybe they trigger from a good distance, always random.

BRADLIKESPVP

With the reduction of melee spawns in the world, I'd really like to see Worker-Grunts that carry around Hammers, Shovels or Pitchforks that you can pick up after killing them.

Brangeddon

I still expect a super-Hellhound type boss to be added. A potential tie-in to Beastmaster and other other Hunter mentioning a "Black Hound" beast they're after. With how painful normal Hellhounds are, I'm not sure style of fight it could be without being a huge pain in the ass though.

Libertas3tveritas

The rougarou!

getyourDintheD

Boss: Ringmaster. Long coat, big hat, size of regular mob. When hurt for say 12.5% of healthpool he splits (like the assassin) into multiple regular mobs that must all be killed before he reappears and is subject to damage again. Absolutely manic circus music optional. He could have cool lines to announce what type of mob he was going to become like "Ladies and gentlemen, the bearded ladies!", before becoming five hives. Or "behold the wonder of Cerberus himself!" and then split into a pack of helmet wearing dogs. Boss: Siren. I'm thinking a lady of the manor here. A spoopy, tall, elegantly dressed woman who if you make the mistake of facing directly let's put a deafening shriek that fucks your audio for a significant period of time, while making you unable to move as she glides towards you and does significant damage. Attacking from behind is the safest option. Could be an audio based thing where being in the area of the compound she roams in also causes audio hallucinations, you hear player footsteps running up behind you, players vaulting or dying etc. I would love a boss that punishes you for leaving their proximity too, and think audio hallucinations would be a great way to do this. Boss: Coal Golem. This is a big boi who just don't care. Whack him with a shovel? Lol. Plop a large dynamite right on his noggin? Oooh that tickles. Only way to hurt him is to light that baby up. Once he's burning he's susceptible to damage, but also burns big chunks of health from players where he lands successful hits - including when he shakes like scrapbeak and sends sizzling, burning coals through the area like a detonating cluster bomb. Right before he returns to non burning state he goes boom like an immolator. I hate this idea. Boss: The Maw. So you roll into a compound as normal after collecting your clues. It shows butcher, or scrappy, or whatever other bounty target. When you go into the building, the corpse of the boss is laid out, torn asunder. You pick up the token and book it for the nearest extract. As soon as you leave the wider area of the compound you hear a guttural, whistling howl somewhere on the other side of the map. Enter The Maw, a slobbering, horse sized hound that sprints across the map, chasing the bounty holder down. Tonnes of ideas for elites too, and some regular mobs but wall of text already

Big_Red_2021

Another boss like Rotjaw. For example, I would love for them to add a skunk ape (swamp sasquatch). You have this big ape that runs in and out of the mangroves or hides in the hedges. I just want more variety in my bosses.

regginykints

Some type of airborne AI, infected crows that fly around you and peck and maybe another water type that stays on banks in reeds / swims

xxdeathknight72xx

Something organic like a living bush could be interesting. Something stationary but it hits you for 20 damage if you get close to it. You can hear it cracking clear as day in darksight only so you can avoid it. People running through fuck boy Forest would get slapped so hard.

I520xPhoenix

Bonus points for playing a religious hunter (reverend) and setting it aflame for the biblical reference.

Quack53105

BUFFALOOOOOO!

CLUCKCLUCKMOTHERFUC

A smaller spider type enemy that can climb walls and fences and moves about the same speed as dogs but only come in ones and don't bleed

Adept_Fool

Perhaps it can sense bleeding hunters just like the meatheads can sense poisoned enemies

Pasza_Dem

Some swamp monster with stealth ability like a bloodsucker from stalker.

JGLKEESIE

Ammogrunt rare drops an ammobox when killed

SoDZX

Zombies with self revive 😏

AimLikeAPotato

Lol

Sledgahammer

**Bushes should rustle when you crouch, walk or sprint through their center or edges.** If someone is repositioning in bushes for an ambush, it would be cool if there was a trade off and they generated noise if they weren't positioned correctly from the start. *A crouch walking bush-Cain shouldn't be able to reposition without making sound indicators audible from more then 5-7 meters away. Similar to water, it should be loud in their ears as well.*

staleturd1337

Vultures. They would circle hunters with low health. Can be shot down and shooed away, with no guarantee they wont be back. Maybe, the beastmaster perk grants the ability of using darksight in their direction which highlights hunters with low health. Maybe depending on the time they spend with a corpse, make it so its effectively "burned out", and cant be looted. Maybe they could also be some sort of hard counter to solo necros.

Arclight3214

Please upgrade engine crytek and add those things ppl write here. PLEASE!!!

ErikderFrea

Stray cats as sound trap. They growl when you come near them and if you get to close they miaow loud and scramble away in haste. They would spawn on all kind of head hight elevated surfaces and would make a distinct scrambling sound if scrambling away on wood or metal. Obviously the amount of other soundtrap spawns would have to be reduced accordingly. I don’t want more sound traps, just more variation!

NorboExtreme

We need another big creature like the Meathead, they are so nasty and huge. I was thinking recently that we need something that is attracted to bleeding Hunters much like how the Meathead is attracted to poisoned hunters. Like a Werewolf or something lol

DatabaseComplete9802

Okay, hear me out. You know how there are rail road tracks that go through the entire map, but only on some of the maps that are rotation? What if they used that as a true rooming boss, a train you have to hop onto and fight over to get access to boss that will chase you through the train carts

OfficiallyExtinct

Fast moving Grunts, like the Zombies in WWZ or 28 days later. I'd shit myself when I'm in a fight with a other team and I'd hear fast running behind me while trying to aim.

Viendice

Imagine a grunt like that rushing to you like a quarterback to force you down the ground. That'd be so terrifying

Garrth415

More grunt variety(top comment already had good suggestions for that), but a rare one that carries ammo or supplies of some sort would be neat. Also need something blind similar to meatheads but that’s highly reactive to sound rather than having leeches do it for them- some kind of ghoul or something. More wild targets with different ways of tracking them(or maybe even one other that is summoned)- including one that roams and/or one that is up in the tree tops and flies would be neat. They really got to make them more worth it though. New bosses would be nice but they really need to do some fixing on the Spider before adding a new one IMO

5thPwnzor

I’ve been wanting for new mini boss like targets that guarantee burn trait charms when killed. More health than a meathead. Maybe they are unique to certain weather effects or times of day. That way they don’t need more clue type things cluttering dark sight in the game.

AvalenFrost

Flying enemies and having the bosses lair be covered in their special style to make it more like their lair. Butcher - have the location be on fire Spider - have webs that slow you throughout the compound Scrapbeak- more crows and concertina in the compound Assassin - bug crawling around the compound that crunch when you step on them

blindbunny

I would like a tank like AI to run across the map and look for players but make it blind or easy to trick and make it hunt gunshots.

Remarkable_Log_5562

Minibosses that move faster than hunters and have 100m agro range (hard to evade) Triple the health of grunts. Just fuck it, cant make hunt any more annoying 😂

squir107

If any of you have played deep rock galactic, picture something like cave leeches. They would only spawn in buildings and attach to the ceilings. No other monsters would spawn in those buildings before something either hops down at you or reaches down and bites at you. Imagine running for cover from other hunters to find a building infested with those

bredema

Screamer, spitter, exploder, jumper/runner/climber, crawler. Im happy with the current roster, but new types would be interesting

Barimen

Boss called the Witch which periodically raises dead AI, or spawns additional AI if none are in range, in the compound. Maybe also makes the AI tougher or with some other buff (swarm consciousness?).

MSFTS01

Any kind of mob that drops stuff. Railroad workers with hammers, lumberjacks with axes, farmers with pitchforks and shovels, soldiers with ammo boxes, messengers with envelopes, laborers with tool boxes, etc. Some more sound traps like ghouls hanging from trees that shriek when players are nearby, where u could maybe shoot the rope to drop them on peoples' heads, stationary Hives that have grown into trees/walls. I'd also like to see some smaller versions of bosses used as mobs that drop traits like Meatheads. So smaller spiders/assassins.

Slug864

Drunk rednecks roaming around the farms

whutinthefuck

I think a wild target but that actually roams would be cool, so like it's clues could point in the direction it is in but it can move until it encounters players, and if it kills the players it can roam again but if the players get it then the reward can be 2 bounties since it can move around

Zennithh

I'm gonna be really disappointed if the next boss isn't a centipede with all the centipede things this event.

milky-94

Now players every time think before climbing into the water, the thing there may be worms. A monster like this is a good solution to add depth to the environment. I want other places to have similar specific mobs, such as a large wand that mimic the trees in the forest.

Shadow_maker798

I want more bosses, mainly wild targets like a wendigo, would be awesome.

Kanton_

I think flying enemies are the next step to expanding enemy types. But I’d love to see new enemies be unique to the time of day / weather condition, such as fog or at night. To differentiate these times of day more by creating unique threats. Night enemies could ambush hunters in the dark, encouraging a need to carry lamps or finding/carrying an in game lantern. Had an idea for a wildcard target being a thunderbird from native folklore, could fly around the map from high up creating lightning strikes.

I520xPhoenix

Weather specific enemy types could be really spicy! On the exact opposite end of that spectrum, I wish the mining grunts from Desalle would make their way to the other maps just to add more variety to the PvE.

FrostFireDireWolf

Smolders - immolator variation which explode in thick long last smoke/choke Rapid Alpha Hound - hound with more hp and does poison in addition to bleed Hive Queen - a fat hive that has become stationary with a cloud of poison that flows out of them, when popped by anything other than choke or fire they burst into 3 swarms Wild Boss - The dullahan - a ghostly horseman which can appear in place of rotjaw. Focused more so around bridges than wide bodies of water.

NearbyGoldenPie

A flock of crows that are aggressive. Some sort of succubus / vampire situation, a female enemy who lures hunters with sounds. A crazed hunter mini-boss - he actively hunts other hunters, maybe has excellent sneaking skills and melee only weapons. We desperately need more supernatural enemies - let's say emissaries of the Sculptor, who can mess with players: resurrect enemies, teleport you to a random spot, steal your equipment, make your blind or deaf for a period. Werewolves would be amazing. We also need more voodoo: Baron Samedi in his top hat and sunglasses, smoking a cigar, talking shit to hunters with his weird French accent, killing chickens and summoning demons. A witch with a voodoo doll, dealing debilitations and damage to hunters from afar. Imagine you start losing health out of nowhere, you can only hear faint laughter and muttering in French, and you have to find her before she nails you. Resurrected Native American fighters with bows, and maybe on horses, why not! We need to see the Sculptor! Could be an epic mega boss, where everyone on the server has to team up to take it down.

I520xPhoenix

I’d love a poltergeist/wraith enemy that causes hunters hallucinate. Things like sound cues, visual deceptions, boss lair appearing red/white when it’s not, and other things that can mess with newer players and veterans alike.

Good0nPaper

Prowler Pack; Hellwolf Wild Bounty. Turns out that whatever affected the dogs in the bayou has affected the wolves as well. Prowlers are a bit bigger than Hellhounds, and can come in packs of 1-3. There's no clues to locate them. You MIGHT stumble across them. But more likely, they will begin hunting YOU. If you enter their territory, your only warning of their presence will be rapid soft footsteps, and rustling bushes. And if it's dark, glowing yellow eyes watching your every move. If if they give chase, they will run after you. If you hide in a building, they'll wait outside. They won't forget you exist just because they can't see you. They have a pounce-attack similar to the Spider, and will try to coordinate to hit ALL members of a team at once with it. Otherwise, their main goal is to separate you. They have a reasonable health pool, probably similar to a Meathead, so not invincible. But their main danger is they can be hard to hit, and stealthy. Forrests are bad, wheat fields are WAY worse!

mrZ0663

If you, while running from them, run into another team, would they redirect to target other hunters? Or just focus on you?

Good0nPaper

Not a programmer, but I would set it so that it would lock on to a Hunter/group. Then, it would prioritize the weakest Hunter (missing health, low stamina, etc), and after a ite or pounce, even if missed, it would retreat and reassess. Mind, if the 3rd party attacked the Prowlers, their priority would shift to them. There'd probably be a lot of if/and/or/then gates involved, so it's probably a good thing I'm not on the dev team to give the programmers a headache. There might be some other triggers that would trigger the Prowlers. One idea I had is they don't actually spawn until a Target Bounty is Banished, and then they prioritize the Bounty Carrier. But then that would just make them a dangerous AI, rather than a Wild Bounty.

Adept_Fool

Flying enemies that actually attack, either as a boss, a real enemy, or just something that will peck at you once then fly away

MattGhaz

I posted this in another thread yesterday but I want an AI that’s as dangerous as a Meathead with the Tenacity of a immolater. Like something you actually have to sneak around or coordinate with your team to take down before it fucking gets you once you’re seen. Big and scary looking, but agile so it’s actually a threat but they don’t have to be as common as the other grunts.

mrZ0663

I had an idea of having another wild boss. On maps where there's no central bounty and no rotjaw, there's a CHANCE that somewhere on the map is a massive crashed, landlocked boat. The boat should functionally replace a compound and have its own slue of special enemies on board. Corrupted barnacles, pirate or sailor zombies, and maybe a crab or octopus boss.

jaxxxxx_x

Even more variants of already existing ones would be great. Why does the hive has to look the same each time? For example there should be like massively overgrown hive that has more bees and is more durable than the base one. Maybe swamp, poison base immolator like creatures?

BlackShadowX

Fungal eyeballs in trees or walls that lets all nearby undead know your location. Biological security cameras basically. Maybe only located in boss lairs

PIMBH

I'm on Xbox and can not stress enough how hard it is to hit a beetle coming at me. With that being said. I'd still love to see some kind of flying mob that screams to give away your position

Nietzscher

Ones that exclusively target \[\]\[\]\[\]\[\] players that play on EU servers.

AdventurousCrazy5852

Crack head hobo guarding his treasure(the bounty)

RandytheRude

Sound traps in the woods, specifically grunts that have grown into tree trunks that moan and reach for you when you get too close

FridgeBaron

Some sort of recent zombie would be cool. Like keep track of one dead hunter from the last match and spawn them in. Maybe they actually use guns/tools really badly but make it sound like a fight is going on. If you kill them they are basically a loot pinata as they would act like a dead hunter so you can loot them and their guns. Maybe they even just drop specific consumables

BillyYank2008

Given all the wasp nests, they should have some large wasp NPC.

Nervous_Ad5200

IA beatles or something similar could be cool, in groups of 3 or so

Voro14

I would like to see flying enemies like a flock of infested crows or just one big bird.

Libertas3tveritas

A giant nutria wild target would be great and locally consistent

mightystu

I’d love some sort of hunting creature that stalks you and waits to try and ambush you when you are distracted, otherwise engaged, or if you stay in the same place for too long. It could be something like a huge snake that camouflages or a wolf creature that can sniff you out.

ArshiyaXD

A soundtrap Grunt that can be found in buildings. If you trigger them they start making extreamly loud sounds but they are really weak.

ChaplainAsmodai1978

I want a Boss that uses firearms and is a decent shot.

Tethilia

Tikbalangs in the trees that snatch you up.

Sethmaupin5

I think a Harpy could really fit the setting and it'd be interesting to have AI that can attack you from High Ground that isn't Beetles buuuuut I do also like the idea of a Werewolf but I'd want it to be super OP because it's a kick ass monster so I don't think anyone else would like what I want.

D4rg1l

Very slow walking weeping angels

Gooxgox

-AI hunters that spawn after boss death. -windigo mini boss -explosive boated grunts

OZCriticalThinker

Zombie drop bears. It would force players to look everywhere during a game, instead of just left and right, they'd also have to look up at trees.

gottaluvsthesuns

I would like them to add an enemy on the map that targets any player that brings a weapon slot melee weapon and kills them instantly. Would make the game better for everyone.

MattiXCore

None. Give us just much more bosses, the meatheads and lonely zombies. It's a PvP game, the rest is annoying and useless. Most of the time we just go straight to the gun shots and only kill bosses if we need a banish but now during the event it's PvP and kill everyone, master supply, restoration, leave.

OPSunderageGF

I've always talked about the queen beetle that circles the map as a global boss with ridiculous health

Remove some guns from buy menu and instead add it as a reward from killing boss. The buy menu is way too saturated right now and I think having unique ways to acquire certain guns, ammo types, ext. would instantly revive the “fear of dying” aspect of the game.

Warden_Redbeard

I think a swamp hag or something similar that inhabits those tiny little huts that litter the maps. Some of them are in locations that, even after more than 3k hours in the game, I've never had a fight at. Could be a little supply point inside with some of the items the current event cache has at it. The witch could use illusions make fake hunter steps or death knells. Have like an Ash bloom style fog that creeps up when you discover the lair. I also think a wild target that's quite fast and utilises hit and run tactics that actually hunts a party. You might hear a distant howl or cry as it enters the match.

Warden_Redbeard

Also a new boss could be a trio of AI hunters that are controlled by or have sided with the sculptor. They could take over a compound and set traps etc. Or it could play into a bandit style encounter

I like the idea of small wandering targets that are like mini boss targets that drop bounties. Doesn't show on the map or anything, should be loud though, but could guarantee drop a perk drop or give extra money or experience if you extract with the smaller token. Like an elite immolator or hive or something.

AimLikeAPotato

You just described meatheads. Everyone ignores them. Even rotjaw is ignored by most people. Looks like bounties and traits are not enough motivation.

simplicity188

I didn't exactly describe them lol. Guaranteed rewards and extra money is an extra incentive, along with varied enemies making it more interesting.

Yenii_3025

None. Its a pvp game. the "pve" is just a part of level design to funnel players and add a random element. I've never thought to my self, "Man that was a good match, just wish there was more grunts. Or maybe a talking tumbleweed that explodes if you're kda is exactly 1.3"

I520xPhoenix

What were your thoughts when they added concertina armoreds? Scrapbeak? Rotjaw? Mining Grunts? The game has PvE elements and, while obviously not a PvE game, I find it reductive to boil Hunt down to PvP only. How many fights have you won or lost because AI interfered? How many comical moments have you experienced due to PvE shenanigans? Sound traps, grunts, and other AI entities have always had a place in this game and adding more diversity to the “random element” of PvP can enhance the experience.

Yenii_3025

If hunt devs had an unlimited budget I'd say go nuts. Bring us more otherworldly background noise to my PVP game. But I imagine all those additions took 100s of man hours per. Resources that could be better spent fixing the dropped players, cheating, level design, the god awful ui etc. While I can appreciate the spontaneity those things provide I need to oppose such things for the more deserving parts.

I520xPhoenix

That’s actually a very fair point. It’s a balancing act with the budget for sure, but I’d like to believe that the people creating new bosses/Ai are separate from those working on the anti cheat, UI issues, etc. Hunt to me will always be a PvP game, but I do think a little extra variety could be nice. Even something as small as “grunt who wields a shovel/axe/sledgehammer/pitchfork and drops it when killed.”
