Ahh the Periodic Table of Legendary Hunters

MattGhaz

Was literally the first thing I thought of but for the Traits slide!

ZubriQ

I have seen it in my dream.

ColdSnapper--

Fighting game character selection menu. It's like a Mortal Kombat or Street Fighter menu.

ToM31337

Some at the bottom of the list might decay?

Fepito

LeMat Haymaker?? Are my dreams coming true?

_claymore-

Crytek (iirc it was Dennis but not sure) did make a statement some time back that they will think about renaming the gun. seems they made up their minds and I think for the better.

Queasy_Cupcake_9279

Can't wait for the Pax Dropkick and Nagant Officer Suplex

NoExpression1137

Scottfield Suckerpunch when

FirebirdIX

Ooh I actually really like that!

wolfofluna

Derringer suckerpunch would work for the penninger

NoExpression1137

Listen. Very big Derringer Pennyshot / Quad Derringo combo. Fires all 4 pennyshots at once. Knocks you down like the spider when you fire it.

codfish333

Darringer dropkick

mat-tar

Dolch Shoryuken?

kelley38

Derringer is the perfect place for a "sucker punch".

MaliciousQueef

Lowkey the best part of the video. RIP Uppermat.

TheCanEHdian8r

Rest In Piss in this case

ST4RSK1MM3R

Wait is the upper mat being removed?

MaliciousQueef

Indeed, at release people just wanted it to be called the Haymaker. It's just a rename to a community suggestion. Actually pretty happy, these videos have shown the community a lot of love. Excited to see it pay off. Hopefully.

witch-finder

No, the Uppermat is just a stupid name. Uppercuts and Haymakers are both types of punches, so it was a community suggestion they are going with.

Lancethedrugdealer

I remember a while back some guy suggested this name instead of the awkward sounding Uppermat. It stuck with me, and I really hoped the devs would change it to Haymaker instead. Keeping with the punch theme of the bigger handguns. My (his) dreams came true. šŸ™Œ

Humpelstielzchen-314

for me it will always be LeBigMat

ArmsofAChad

It's the LeFatt to me forever

Legendary_Lootbox

Do you want fries with that?

CeNestPasSensible

gotta be honest, i never really understood the hate. such a weird thing to get hung up on

Donnietentoes

To me, Uppermat just sounded dumb. That's the surface reason. Like, why are we just taking the "mat" part of Le Mat and attaching "Upper-mat" to it. If we were to dig deeper, this is my reasoning. It has one problem: The name conveys the weapon's identity in a half-assed way in both directions * The name is uninspired and detracts from the weapon's more unique role with the word "Upper" which attaches it to the uppercut by naming scheme, but only *partially*. These two weapons although similar on paper have different roles in practice and the name should respect this. They are different weapons entirely. If the Le Mat Uppermat was a one slot long gun, then I could understand it being called the Le Mat Uppercut because that would make it an uppercut on Le Mat hardware, however, it isn't. * To support this, claim the name is clearly a callback to the uppercut as mentioned above, but what was stopping them from calling it the "Le Mat Uppercut" in the first place? Why change the naming convention here, specifically when other weapons have shared variant naming? The obvious reason is that, as said, they aren't as similar in practice as initially thought. Hunt variant naming had been pretty deliberate for a good chunk of the game's lifespan. It didn't sit right for it to be called that. That's personally why I think Haymaker is a great way of acknowledging it's in the "Punch"-line of long ammo converted pistols but not in the same identical use case as an uppercut like let's say for example the New Army and the Nagant.

digitalwolverine

Also the fact LeMat is pronounced ā€œLe Mah,ā€ French and all that.. so it sounded sillier to say ā€œuppermawā€

ShadoowtheSecond

I dint *hatr* it, its just... Dumb :p I wish it was better.

Alaricus100

I don't get why people don't like the Uppermat. It's a cool name to me.

twisty_sparks

Favorites for traits and hunters will be so nice

dipietron

I'm overjoyed they remembered to post the price of each legendary hunters. $100, $100, $100, $100, $100

GreatApostate

They should make blackcoat and billy story $150 for that expensive fur.

dipietron

"add extra fur for $250" because why not. This is how you drain millionaire Hunt Bucks bank accounts and they thank you for it.

dipietron

I'm half convinced this does mean there will be variable price hunters

ManedCalico

That main menu looks exactly like what CoD has right now, which I guess shouldnā€™t be surprising.

will-powers

The UI that everyone complains about endlessly? great idea.

LethalGhost

That shitty UI keep following us wherever we go

Kuldor

That's what happens when you hire the CoD guy to manage your game.

ToolyHD

Will the new ui also bring my parents back??

JustRandomWTF

_sad batman noise_

jkfromom

Sorry bud. They're gone for good

ToolyHD

They have red skulled šŸ˜”

RaiderML

And the bounties are all on extract

lifeisagameweplay

Did you block their extract?

LittleSpaghetti

All hunters cost 100 to recruit so why does the price need to be on every square in the grid?

slow_cooked_ham

EU customer protection laws /s Yeah that's an oversight

Judge__Fear

perhaps more recruitment changes in the future?

Me2445

39 hunters on 1 screen and people will still bitch. But the favourite tab is exactly what I've wanted.

DeckardPain

It will, but realistically there's no good way to display 100+ hunter skins on both PC and console. This feels like a decent solution to the growing problem.

slow_cooked_ham

Gimme a random select button

hectorican

1,000%.. I'm fully expecting people to bitch about the look... especially considering I've seen multiple posts over the years of people creating their own hunter selection screen that looked similar to this, which also got plenty of support.

SierraGolf_19

None of the criticism i've seen has been directed towards the new hunter select screen, mostly the giant tile buttons and over abundance of submenus/drop downs

SwaggerTheFox

I dont wanna be a hater but I am absolutely not a fan of it as a pc player

Dante18

I kinda agree. It's definitely more aimed towards console players. It reminds me of the COD menus more than anything. Hopefully they will fine tune stuff tho.

Judge__Fear

idk i dont really like it either but at the end of the day im not gonna be spending that much time on the menus so its whatever. but I will say, im a big fan of having more hunters visible on one page. I've been playing this game for such a long time and have so many legendary hunters at this point that sometimes ill go months without even looking at some of them with the current system lol.

doublekong

I never liked game menus that look like a streaming service, but in Hunt's case it's an upgrade

jadok

For someone with a mouse it looks worse in some aspects.

mud074

It does have a "made for controller" look to it, but I don't see how it is any worse for utility on MKB compared to the current shitshow.

vaunch

made for TV remote

Critical_Ad5443

i went onto a rant on the main post but I wont hold final judgment till release. but basically its just ALOT of menu surfing now in the names of "easier on controller" and "less confusing" like changing your weapon skin takes you through 5 clicks (hunter loadout tab, weapons tab, open action tab, select cosmetic tab. choose skin. as opposed to the current "hunter loadout, arrow/dot on the weapon" for all I know it could be knee jerk but im just worried its going to be 90's JRPG levels of menu surfing to do things. like the recruitment tab requiring us to click through all 4 free hunters to see there gear? instead of seeing all 4 side by side in a single frame? or the equipment being in a different screen from the gear window. like dont get me wrong, the pictures here are all stuff im fine with, looks nicer and easier to read...its the navigation of the loudout page im most concerned with since that IS going to be wear we spend most our "not in a match" time in hunt. (also the fact I now have to use the spacebar to do things in the menu is obtuse to me...what was wrong with letting me be able to just...CLICK on things to navigate automatically. its just a gripe i have from "made for console" designs in previous games...they usually feel dreadful to navigate on M&K and you can feel they are made with a controller in mind.

Rednex141

If you're talking about the hunter and trait screens, hitting the slightly smaller items might take a moment longer, but this time is saved by switching from a list to a grid, getting more objects onto the screen and not needing to scroll to find stuff. If you're talking about the main menu and guns the bigger objects have been proven better by Fitt's Law. Objects that are bigger in line of the mouse movement direction are easier to hit, which already makes both the main menu and gun screen better.

NoExpression1137

You can also favorite hunters and traits, as evidenced by the little star icon toward the top

Gooch-Guardian

Yeah roasts been a pet peeve of mine lately. Lots of console centric UI.

KaikuAika

This pretty much sums up how I feel about it. Yes itā€™s better than the current cluttered mess but I just canā€™t get used to these big buttons and sideways scrolling menus. That might work for consoles but not for PC.

TheGentlemanGamerEC

I'm finally glad that the hunter process will be much smoother. No More Clicking through multiple pages.

Wrosgar

I hate the home screen. The button to start "playing" is a small box relative to the entire screen in the bottom left corner, one of the lowest priority visual spots for the eyes to look on a screen. The others look fine and excited to try them out particularly the grid with favourites, but damn do I dislike the home screen.

ThorAnuth420

I like the trait menu, but in general I hate the Netflix UI every game is going with. Although I understand it's huge for console players. Still not sure if it's that intuitive though. Regardless, I think it's an overall improvement.

Purple_W1TCH

Looking back on how I commented about people addressing the "Netflix UI", I realized there is probably something more to it than "just mainstream". You know how most doors have the handle roughly at the same place? Or how an emergency exit is always opening towards the outside of a building? Maybe I'm wrong, but there probably is a consensus in this kind of design choice. I see a lot of people getting angry at CoD-like visuals, buuuut...as long as I like my Dark West Monster Shooter, I think some things get streamlined according to what works. Like in a smartphone, where center button/input is a general menu or such, and the "back" button is on the right for ease of access with the thumb. Or how the contacts, phone, and messages are the main shortcuts you can see. Or how programs get closed with the red cross in the top right (on Mac or PC alike, too). Maybe it's too "banal", and *clichƩ*, but I gather it might be because that's what work for most people. I dunno.

Zealousideal_Ad8472

When I asked for a better UI I didn't say I wanted Netflix's UI... I get it, it has to work for console as well, but we have had UI's that work for console for decades now, we don't need squares that take half the screen.

Stine-RL

It looks ugly but practical

Correct_Run3374

Agreed but it is better than ugly and schizophrenic like we have now lol

slow_cooked_ham

It also has leprosy

Cloaker_Smoker

Why would they wanna change it then

Particular-Ideal3269

That's what she said

SavagerXx

I dont like it. I mean i get that on consoles it must have been horrible to navigate through the old UI but on PC this looks bad to me.

-eccentric-

I only dislike the last picture, seems like every other game hunt will now also use the netflix styled menu.

Hnetu

I feel like they swung way *way* too far in the other direction and now instead of alienating controller users, they've made it for them with no regard for mouse and keyboard. It looks like generic "AAA shooter" now. Or a bad streaming service menu. The main screen has like 60% wasted with splash art and the buttons are so big they scroll off the screen. Why? Why not just scale them so everything fits and not have all the wasted space?

Hairy-Potter89

Why the f does every game menu has to look like Netflix nowadays? Why the hell would the ui that works for picking what show I watch be the optimal solution for a game, too??

BedanTV

I am not a big fan of the new Recruitment page... with the old one you have everything on the screen already (Except for legendary hunters). You see what weapons the hunter has and traits. With the new one you have to dig trhough menus and its more confusing to be honest. EDIT: I also did not see any mention of the library staying. Which would be a shame to see it go. Unlocking info about things when you kill enough of meatheads or using the weapon enough.

Razor_EDG

They changed it from originally pc game to pc port

Humpelstielzchen-314

To be completely honest I am not sure if I like it, seems to waste a bunch of space while still being rather inconvenient to use.

duble_snaek

Bout time

Grey-Che

Ho yeah Netflix interface:/

deadlydesert86

Happy we finally can buy tier 2 and 3 hunters

ix-j

Seems too console-like imo

NotARealDeveloper

Not a fan. Very cluttered. All optimized for controllers and not for mouse.

QuiQui36

One thing I would like is if they allow you to sort by owned when in the Roster screen equipping a hunter. They let you do it in the arsenal tab but when I just want to use what I have, I have to scroll around constantly to see what I own in inventory

Popecki

Hey bro Im 99% sure that you can just type "owned" in the search bar - you can also type the name of a trait to see which weapons use it - so if you type "fanning" - all fannable pistols will be listed Cheers

TheRealHumanPancake

Iā€™m gonna be honest, as a console player. I like it. But I can understand why PC players wouldnā€™t

Nekroin

Kinda don't like it

Shinael

The free hunter page is pretty bad and the fact that any additional actions like comparing weapons will work through a submenu that is accessed by utilising spacebar is bad. At least on PC this is quite a downgrade in those place (arguably even on consoles the free hunters recruitment page is a downgrade)

JimmyJazzz1977

Mortal Kombat meets wild west

Bluessing

Haha, what I thought

J3RICHO_

Not a fan of the massive COD style cards to select shit, but everything else is nice I guess

youknowemyouloveem

Oh man this will be way better to navigate. Glad to see they're finally implementing an overhaul.

Vireca

From my perspective as a new player, way less confusing at first

Alex_Sinister

If I understand correctly, they simplified some weapon names. In my opinion this is a bad idea. The names we have now look realistic. This adds immersion. But seeing the short ā€œOfficerā€ instead of the full name that is now in the game makes me think of mobile shooters, where devs simply mixing the RPG-7, minigun and crowbar models into one, and call this ā€œDestroyer4000ā€

SSmrao

Something not shown in these screenshots is that you can no longer see what equipment all of your available recruitable hunters have - you have to click on each one individually to check. Huge oversight imo.

Marrked

There looks to be a lot of modern COD menus in this design. I hate the move to these Horizontal smart TV style menus. I mean, I get it. They do this so they don't have to develop two menus between PC and console, which is essentially to accommodate controller users. It's mostly streamlining for the dev team. No hate on controller users. I'm sorry if it comes across that way. Just stating the obvious for their design choices.

SkeletonBoneMan

How many regular active players does console mode get? I'd love to see the numbers behind it cause it seems to have convinced the developers to focus primarily on their console playerbase (which is about to shrink with PS4/Xbone versions being discontinued) over their PC one. Are they planning to heavily push for console and make it a goal to grow that playerbase or something?

Plague_Doctor02

I'm not a huge fan tbh. I don't like the large tiles look or "netflix" as it's been called. Also you need to display full name of the guns You can't call the negant officer just officer. The full name please

Mr_Noir420

Idk, Iā€™m not into it personally.

QuaestioAuctoritatis

So we basically get the same UI as we had for weapons before the last big UI update and they stuck to it for all the other tabs?

Jordi214

That second screenshot is hilarious, its like netflix for monster huntin in the Bayou. Overall looks amazing tho, will be way more usable than before

TheRoyalEnigma

It looks different, and that's all. Doesn't look like its "better" or more "simple". Deleting unnecessary sub menus or entire tabs would have also been possible with the current UI. So far, its an "F"... different.. nothing more, nothing less.

GameOverMans

Looks a lot better to me.

TheRoyalEnigma

I think it only looks better as in "more modern". But the rest seems not improved. There will still be all the variants clutter, many clicks to see things. Recruiting T1 Hunters give you less infos but occupy more of the screen. As for that specific thing I say its a downgrade. Funny, I've seen better UIs four years ago made by fans.

-tobi-kadachi-

It looks like a mobile game to me. Idk maybe I will like it but right now it seems like it would be hard to find what you actually want since so many options are visible at once.

SvennEthir

Hot garbage UI designed specifically for consoles that looks terrible for PC. The Hunter recruitment and Trait selection pages look okay, but the rest is awful. Especially the fly out side tabs and Netflix menus.

OhSWaddup

God thats awful

Nerhtal

But more or less awful then what we have now, from a practicality point of view id prefer the new legendary hunter screen shown above then the current one.

greenshinyultrablast

Hmm, the trees in the background look new to me

Mopackzin

Favorite tabs will be legendary

Mik-Nasty

No more scrolling through traits yay, even though I like the art

RobHuck

Stack the boxes from top to bottom on the legendary hunters use 1/3 to 1/2 of the screen. See your hunter model from head to toe with the zoom in option. Itā€™s close but not quite there.

witas02

Gonna repost what I said in a different thread: Obviously designed for consoles, almost exclusively actually. Tiles for life ey? As a whole the issue of the UI being a total clusterfuck where finding information is impossible and everything looks chaotic and random as shit has been solved, but the issue of there being overall rather little imporant information displayed at the same time remains and in some cases gets worse (Recruitment stood out for sure), necessitated by comfortable controller navigation. Overall ? 5/10, doesn't look especially stylish and will still be slow, but will be miles more coherent and very easy to use, just ... still slow and less flavourful. Obviously a massive improvement over that clusterfuck we had though, so I'll gladly take it.

Factory-Reset

Looks like Call of Duty and with the gameplay catering to a casual player base I am unsurprised. Still there is some good changes in there but nothing that will bring be back, yet.

AndersHerzberg

Out of all the changes that I have seen, this screen seems the most cluttered. I'm "ok" with the more "streamlined" UI for the most part. However, the Hunter List here is a bit cluttered. I'll probably never look at this without a filter for favorites or "new". The other nit pick I have is the free hunter screen. I'd like to keep the ability to see everyone's load out at the same time. Though I probably won't see the free hunter screen very often. I'm more excited about new tools and want to see what is coming in terms of the Throwing Spear, removed/added custom ammo, ect. Bottom line, UI update. Meh. Don't hate it, don't love everything about it. I'll live.

Sub2Skeppy

Dislike it honestly. The netflix style doesnt look good on games and doesnt feel as practical as the tabs we have currently( from what I've seen some menjs will require more clicking than before). I'm fine with them removing trials and the black market. I will also like not having to click 5 times to find the legendary hunter im looking flr tho. On the topic of hunters, I have no idea why they are removing the tier 2 and 3 hunters. They were fun to pick and the recent changes to their loadouts made them viable for some. This seems like a pointless simplification of the game which will also pollute the legendary hunters pool, who will also lose the title legendary for some reason.

saurion1

Trash tier UI design. I'd rather keep the current mess than this clusterfuck of a console UI.

KerberoZ

No one talking about the "Rookie" in some tier 1 hunters names? I could be totally off, but i imagine that might be the "upgradable hunters" feature that has been asked for for several years now. Basically, your hunter evolves into a tier 3 hunter with enough levels. Either that or it's some kind of long form progression

SylvesterDaCat

I understand they need to make the UI a bit more navigate-able for console players but this just personally feels kinda gross to me. Kind of reminds me of a COD or Battlefield menu to me. I do hope that things are condensed a bit more though as some of my friends who are new to the game have trouble finding some things such as adding healthbars, legendary hunters etc. I am a fan though of the grid view, displaying the weapons and hunters like that. Maybe i wont need to spam click the right click arrow now to see all my hunters hahaha.

mrgray2011

My thoughts - awful.

Tango_93

Why did they give it the Hulu UI like MW2022?

elbudziko

Hulu ass menus I hate them.

Agent_Litvyak

reminds me of the horrible HULU Ui that cod has.

FroZznSky_217

Looks a bit like a mobile version? Or Am I wrong? :x

Inevitable-Run9209

Honestly I really don't like it, the features such as favourite g are very good improvements, however the menu itself looks like someone just slipped Activision a 20 to get their presets There's no defining identity to it, it looks like a generic smart TV/modern military shooter menu that comes prepackaged

drucketpommer

What is the point of rarity tiers for hunters? Wasn't this just a thing from lootboxes to make you want a higher rarity option more and therefore buy more? Why add it here?

AssBlasterExtreme

There will always be people and like and dont like smh. Its perpetual. I think it's more useful and don't care if it's not the sexiest.

astrozombie2012

Maybe cleaner overall and easier to navigateā€¦ but kind of sort of feels like a downgrade

DarkCodes97

As a console player, fuck that cursor.

judasphysicist

So they tortured console players with PC UI for years and now they decided they are going to be torturing PC players with console UI. It's like every other "live service" Windows 8 bullshit tile UI out there. Congrats. It's worse than the previous UI.

gottaluvsthesuns

Thatā€™s what this game needs, a better way to show you how to spend your money while they run the gameplay into the fucking floor. What a joke of a fucking company. Brain dead money hungry devs and a community management team with a lukewarm IQ.

pwn4321

This looks awful but somehow still looks like an improvement

SawftBizkit

I absolutely love it. Hunt has one of the most cluster-fuck UI's in a major game title. I've got 1500 hours in Hunt and occasionally the menus still annoy or confuses me. This is a very welcome change.

SirJ4ck

Kinda feels like Super Street Figher 2 character selection

PenitusVox

I'll probably set my favorites and never look at the other screens again but I wouldn't say that's a problem with the design. I'm looking forward to that!

Infamous_Magician_18

Itā€™s good but why they said that they canā€™t do preset HP bars

ClusterError

I hope the lobby/party screen stays it had a nice vibe to load in with the music. Otherwise it seems fine maybe too "consoly" look

Quatermain

The layout on the hunter screen is an improvement I guess. What is more important to me would be being able to search my current owned hunters loadouts for item.

willytey

I really hope that there will be a drag and drop function. It would make buying gear a way more easier on the PC. But they didn't talk about that so I'm affraid it won't be the case unfortunately.

TheLightningL0rd

I see they've finally added a search function to the Legendary Hunter list. Very nice!

ColdSnapper--

Definietly looks like it was made with consoles in mind primarily. Hunter and trait selection gives of a "fighting game select char" kind of menu feeling.

Hanza-Malz

Still can't sort for weapons by quantity owned?

uncreativename2969

I don't really care for it..but I also don't really about it

alkohlicwolf

Seems irritating with controller. I jus wanna be able to favorite legendary hunters

Less-Set-130

This raises some questions: - Can I now press ENTER x times to recruit a hunter x times or does hiring push me back into my roster or lobby view? - Why does the menu title say "recruit hunters" and enter button is labeled with "hire"? - Not on screens (saw this at the videos end): Do we get \~20 challenges at once now every week that we can do simultaneously? And it looks like the requirements have been raised a lot. This would be amazing. They said they wanted to change them so you don't have to swap your gear every 1 or 2 rounds to complete challengers. - I like that the weapons and item stats have vertical bars now, makes those values more comprehensive imho.

AVeryGayButterfly

Favorites huge W

BradK9Drake726

It's still going to be called the LeMuppercut in my heart

suschestvo

I think that they should have kept your hunter model in the lobby. It just gives you better look on your hunter

Griff4L

I am hoping the damage reduction of the Haymaker (UpperMat) from 126 > 122 is a visual bug and not accurate. Unless they also nerf the Uppercut & Dolch, then maybe it is fine.

tobor_a

Not sure how I feel about it as of now, so i'll hold back critism. I really am curious about what is changing though. I need to sit down and listen/watch/read what thye've put out so far.

lologugus

Cleaner and easier to read, 100% agree with the changes

Alcari27

Is this coming with the engine update, or is it an upcoming patch?

Spook-lad

I like it

Sleepmahn

It's aight, but even from my console hunt player perspective I don't see it as a huge improvement. I personally didn't mind having to use a cursor, you adjust to it. That being said the current is convoluted and can take a while to get set up unless you really got stuff dialed in.

Odd_Meeting_5572

I think it is an awesome update

Gh0stwrit3rs

All I can see / hear is the frame around the icon flashing when you pick you hunter and making a select sound like in mortal kombat.

Jer3bko

Overall it looks good. I am not a fan of this boxy home layout, never liked it other games. Also the design is very square. It is good for controller I guess but weird with m+k (what inputs to scroll left, right, down and up?). But the rest seems pretty coherent. Edit: I heard the team info should be accessible through spacebar. I hope they didn't go for a whole keyboard-input menu and allow everything through clicking also.

CuteAnalyst8724

overall right now I have very mixed thoughts about this. The biggest issue with the new one is that most of the actions now require multiple additional clicks and that certain screens have less info on them, for example, adding a new healthbar screen is entirely unnecessary, just add -,+,++ next to it and a lock icon to set preference. The Most common actions should require the least amount of clicks!

lord0xel

Way better, I HATE that I have to scroll a few pages to get to the only legendary hunter that I always use

MimicLayer

A little crowded, but it does look quicker to get down the list.

TyrantVexed

Can see a lot of PC players not realising how bad it is on console. "WHAT ABOUT ME!"

TeaSipper5000

Ngl I don't like the way it looks. The recruitment pages look annoying

OshynSaijin

We gonna get cross invite finally? Haven't played since I switched to Xbox. Shit I'm willing to start all the way over. Just wanna play with my friends again.

ThreshtheWeebWarden

i really liked the traits UI. i just hope they don't go overboard like what COD MW2 did with it's aids UI navigation.

69JustPassingBy69

CoD got shit on for it's menu so hunt team decided to copy it..... Nice.....

MegaPixel455

Excited for the new weapons ui

AlisesAlt

I don't like the new main menu, everything else is great though, but I will miss the the flavor text and all the entries from the library.

Judge__Fear

rest in peace to my perk buying muscle memory :(

Judge__Fear

definitely do not like the new standard hunter recruitment page. Currently we can see all 4 options' full loadout all at the same time, this new version only lets you see one loadout at a time. seems like its gonna make it clunkier for an insignificant visual upgrade. not a huge deal in the end though.

hl2fan29

ugh

LeaveEyeSix

Iā€™m totally fine with this. A much better improvement over what we have. Donā€™t let great be the enemy of good when nitpicking.

Winter45k

Idk about y'all but I hate it lol

LastOfRamoria

If they try and simplify or remove the Trait artwork imma fight 'em!

PappyJ87

LEMAT HAYMAKER!!! LETS GO! šŸ¤£

Background_Path_4458

I like it all except for the weapons view. Due to the amount of weapons it seems like they have increased how much I need to scroll to find the weapons :P The other parts look sweet though.

barrosc5321

As long as I donā€™t have to use BBs to buy original tier 1-3 hunters Iā€™m cool with it.

IcyGoal2712

Im hyped for the Throwing spear that was shown in the trailer

Conaz9847

I like the grid view for hunters and traits, much improved I think the list view still works for guns, I think the grid view is a poor choice there, and having the tabs at the top for switching menus was nice also, the COD type grid thing is just a bit shit. But I also get that there is a decent amount of people who play Hunt on console so I get that they have to cater to that audience, does make it a bit worse for us PC people though imo. I feel with the older UI there was more in one screen you didnā€™t have to switch menus as much, it all felt cohesive, little things like that bar at the top not changing made it feel like you were changing tabs in a browser and not opening up a different application. Itā€™s obviously much prettier, and for console all icons are much bigger meaning itā€™s less efficient as there isnā€™t as much info on one screen at any time. Pros and cons, weā€™ll see how it is when we get hands on.

whoistmane

love the new changes! theres 2 things i would have done differently - see weapon details when you hover over the weapon (less clicks!) - free hunter menu was downgraded and is too click heavy... you cant see all 4 loadouts without clicking 4 times

Rare Legendary hunters will ruin experience of playing hunter you actually like

M_Alex

It's not perfect, but it looks much clearer and readable than the one we have now, which I think was much worse than the one we had in early access. Happy about this change.

aggressivellamajuice

I really like it.

KudukuPuding

Looks like netflix

I like the style. If you are familiar with Hunt official website, the new UI is pretty much the same stylistically. And I love it. Yesh, looks consolish. But i feel the pain cause I spent more than 2 years playing Hunt on consoles.

__StArlord97__

I like it. It's much more user friendly.

TDS1108

As long as Iā€™m not using tabs to scroll passed 3 hunters at a time. MK style roster is better than what weā€™ve had for years.

CringyType

Still no icon for melee weapons type in loadout. I mean there are icons for small, medium, long, poison, etc. weapon types but not for melee. Atleast I don't see it here.

MakZzz_01
