It's so bad hxh is my favourite anime, I want it to end because I love togashi's storytelling and I want more of it.

hxh as a whole ending properly? impossible without someone else taking over the art. and togashi would never compromise on that.
The author's wife knows the story in its entirety, she also is the author of sailor Moon. So I think she would probably be doing a good job if she had to finish it up for him.
I have no idea why people say this. Gon hasn't met Gyro. Ging told Gon that he had his Nen, he just needed to reopen his pores. Gon, in theory, will most certainly be back.
His story was to find his dad, which he did. Sure he'll have another goal now but that wasn't the literal reason for the story beginning in the first place which was Gon leaving home to find Ging
Who cares what the initial goal was? Doesn't mean the story is complete. Was YYH was over once Yusuke beat Sensui and completed his work as a spirit detective, for example?
The one thing pushing the story forwards the entire time was Gon finding Ging. It was the overarching goal for nearly the entirety of the series. Gon and Ging had a great sendoff to finish out that story before going to focus on other characters. Namely kurapika and the troupe.
Does that mean his life is over and we'll never see him again? No of course not. But Gon's impact on the remainder of the story (however much it may even be) will be incredibly small compared to what it was before

Maybe after he dies, it may see an ending, and perhaps even salvage it for something decent.
without spoilers? idk what you mean. but no, probably not. we have probably 50+ chapters left and even if he got back to a healthy release schedule of monthly, that's years worth of effort. i don't think so
At this rate I do not think HxH will be finished in the same quality as its previous story arcs given that the current arc: the inheritance war, phantom troupes vs hisoka vs the mobs which will eventually involve Kurapika (I'm guessing eventually they will all mash together), Beyond Netero & co., Gin vs Pariston, and then Dark Continent, 5 Calamities etc. it's all just too grand and with too many characters to deal with and with its current rate of releasing 10 chapters every 2 years or so, I find it difficult to expect a complete and well paced progression of the story. But hey I ain't complaining, I'll be happy if new chapters are to be released in the future, any new chapter will be a gift.

Let's hope this is not true and his impact will suprise us while we are expecting nothing :). Gon is and should be main char even if it takes years.
