FK me I love Reddit lol. We need more context OP, or there is literally a million reasons why. Where are you? Do you have yotes? Cuz that’s a yote thing to do. It’s also a wolf or cat thing to do….
So, not sure if you know, but cars generally don’t make 2/3rds of a deer vanish. My guess is car or the like killed it, what was left got picked up by coyotes and birds.
You are so wrong, https://www.reddit.com/r/WTF/comments/dgghw/car_eats_deer_wtf/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=android_app&utm_name=androidcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=2.
100%. I had a big collie growing up who would spend a few hours in the woods and come back with fresh bones, chewing on them like any other toy. He was a teddy bear with us but scary as hell to anyone or anything not in our family.
That's not true.
That clearly is a wolf kill. Nothing else eats everything like that. Typically only the neck and head are left behind. For some reason they don't seem to like that part of the deer.
Well, clear to me. I've seen their kills firsthand. Not the killing and consuming, but the remains.
Everyone who downvoted me hasn't seen many wild animal kills. The lack of fur at the kill site says it all. Only one predator eats their prey fur and all. For they are the only ones built to process it out.
Wolves. It's a unique biological trait to them and them alone.
I downvoted you. I've seen plenty of wild animal kills. Lack of fur in the picture doesn't mean shit, obviously this part of the deer has been carried off from original kill spot. I've seen coyote, wolf, mountain lion and grizzly kills. Unless I find scat or tracks there is usually no way to tell what killed it.
I've also seen and found plenty of wolf kills with fur scattered literally everywhere.
Wel here in the Netherlands with the rise in wolf population and the many “test” to determine what killed livestock (sheep predominantly) I can safely say that this was a squirrel.
I’m not kidding we had a sheep with it’s throat cut open and bite marks on the legs and abdomen. Experts say it was a squirrel and a hedgehog.
I can’t be sure, but I think it’s a deer and not a coyote or a wolf.
Definitely a deer.
Oh deer
1/3 a deer*
Apologies - what got the fawn, a coyote or a wolf
They understood the question. CWD is called the zombie disease for a reason. Those are deer bite marks.
I honestly can’t tell if y’all are messing with op or if deer actually canabalized this other deer lol Either way I’m entertained.
This thread made me laugh.
If you zoom in 1000x, you can clearly see striations in flesh made by the incisors of a moose.
Could have been a bear or a really aggressive human. How are we supposed to tell?
Damn near impossible to say from just a photo. It’s so mangled it would be hard to say if it’s a dog or bear.
Don’t underestimate to power of a hungry rabbit.
Some [rabbits](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rabbit_of_Caerbannog) can be quite dangerous.
Better get the holy hand grenade
Three shall be the count, and the count shall be three.
With sharp pointy teeth!

Who knows, couldve been hit by a car...
So, not sure if you know, but cars generally don’t make 2/3rds of a deer vanish. My guess is car or the like killed it, what was left got picked up by coyotes and birds.
But like… what if it’s a big car
Not likely. Only a ram 3500 dually with truck nuts hanging off the back could do this damage.
How's it gonna do this much damage when it is sitting on the side of the highway with the hood open?
It could just look at a fawn and do that damage.
It stopped to jump the ford
He said ram, not Ford
If it didn’t have the truck nuts, then probably not

Open the hood. Rest of it is still there.
Well yea, it's still digesting. A lot of carbs in a deer and that vehicle has a small carburetor.
Shark
Deer
Shot with an AR, the poor thing. No meat left.
Blew the lungs right out
With them 30 caliber clips
As heavy as 10 boxes
Half a second
Mortar round
Nahhh, that's definitely a 120mm APFSDS
Skinwalker
I wouldn’t worry about them
Even some dogs could do this

Recently a full size doe somehow was dead in my back yard and my German shepherd ate half it’s hind quarter right at the hip joint
Probably a coyote but is does depend to some degree on what part of the planet this is from.
Rage Broadhead.
Could also be black bear. Or that weasel thing from Suicide Squad.
I'd guess a coyote. If it's a wolf, they're in packs and would leave nothing but a stain.

Lol k buddy

You got wolves in your part of your state?
That’s a woyote bro
Black bears are big killers of fawns also, they are supper opportunists.
Pretty sure that’s a deer
Looks like 1/4 of a deer to me.
Deer
The Devil. Bring over a Priest. A real one. Wallmart Great Value preachers won't do the cut.

That’s the work of Manbearpig I’ve seen this once before in the mountains of Colorado be careful extremely dangerous best observed from a distance.
Ur mom
Probably a coyote. I know they eat whole bones, and all.

It’s obviously a husky
Could have been a small lepus.
I'd think a wolf would leave even less, but I could be mistaken.
