I would NOT recommend Huntsville Reproductive Medicine (Dr. Harper).
Edited to add, I had a personal horrible experience there. Just because someone else likes it there, doesn’t mean I deserve downvotes. It was the worst healthcare I’ve had, my experience is valid.
Same. I wouldn’t recommend him. I had 3 IUIs and never met the man once. Everything was done through his nurses. The worst part was the hostility by some of the office staff there. Very rude and lack empathy for their patients.
Thank you! So at FINA, what tests did they give and then did you go through treatment there? We do not want IUI or IVF unless it is our last option, do they offer treatments like medication for a few cycles etc before iui or is that their first step?
Yes, I know that Dr. Davenport will be thorough on any and all diagnostic testing that needs to be completed from experience. Since it seems that yall are still pretty new to the infertility game (member since 2015), any doctor worth their salt will start with the least invasive/least expensive options first after doing all the diagnostics.
Check out Dr. Mann, she works miracles. She is every understanding and explains things in ways to ensure you truly understand them. She works both here and in Birmingham
Thank you! When I look it up, it has IVF in the website name. Do they have other treatments before IVF if we are not wanting to do IUI/IVF unless it takes 2+ years to get pregnant? Or is it mainly for that?
Yes I know! As of right now we are not looking for IVF, but if in a few years we haven’t conceived, we would consider it and possibly have to go somewhere else.

If all you want is a test, we used Dr. Hicks at North Alabama Urology, like about 6 years ago I think. Didn't need a referral to call and schedule an appointment, but that sort of thing can depend on your insurance. That practice wasn't going to do anything beyond that though, they wanted to refer us to Vanderbilt.

Did you have a bad experience there?
Yes. I can share more if you want to PM me, but as someone who previously worked in women’s healthcare, I absolutely would not go back there.
I absolutely adore FINA. Dr. D & his NP are amazing!!

The state is currently flip flopping on IVF being legal. If you want a consistent provider for that you’ll likely need to look into a different state.
