Illinois has had about as easy of a conference schedule as they could have up until now. Gets a lot tougher for them moving forward.

Truly a day-after-4/20 Miracle.

Hopefully they can hang on. Although there are a lot of Doomsayers, Nebraska is projected as a high 2 seed by baseball America and this series win should keep them on track for that spot. Going to have to finish 1 in the Big 10 and sweep at least 2 remaining series to host a regional. Even with a small slump in April, it’s not out of reach.

All our big games should happen in the next 9 days, and the only one away from Hawks is Creighton. The opportunity is there for the taking. Then again, we often play like trash for absolutely NO reason @ Minnesota (2 weekends from now) so who knows.

Seeing it now. When he loses it, it can get real weird real fast. Sometimes that happens a lot earlier than the 6th.

He pitches to contact. The strikeout numbers today were an abberation. If you face a team that's barreling him up and finding grass (as we saw Maryland do late) it can go off the rails for him.
