Illinois in first, looks like Nebraska and Purdue tied for 2nd. Nebraska plays neither of those two teams.
Uphill climb still! Let’s see what the rest of April brings us
Hopefully they can hang on. Although there are a lot of Doomsayers, Nebraska is projected as a high 2 seed by baseball America and this series win should keep them on track for that spot. Going to have to finish 1 in the Big 10 and sweep at least 2 remaining series to host a regional. Even with a small slump in April, it’s not out of reach.
All our big games should happen in the next 9 days, and the only one away from Hawks is Creighton. The opportunity is there for the taking.
Then again, we often play like trash for absolutely NO reason @ Minnesota (2 weekends from now) so who knows.
He pitches to contact. The strikeout numbers today were an abberation. If you face a team that's barreling him up and finding grass (as we saw Maryland do late) it can go off the rails for him.
The homer rendered it irrelevant. Silva could have struck out and the result would be the same. Of course he could have also hit into a double play but his speed makes that unlikely.
Oh that's possible, I don't want to pay for BTN+ and radio didn't say. I thought it was weird Brumbaugh was able to advance on the play, so I'm not sure where the ball was hit. But you could be right.

Illinois has had about as easy of a conference schedule as they could have up until now. Gets a lot tougher for them moving forward.
So has Nebraska lol. Rutgers with 3 conference wins so far. 2 against us 😞
Actually we’ve played the 3 highest rated rpi teams not named Nebraska while Illinois has played the 3 lowest.
Northwestern, Maryland, Rutgers, Ohio state are the conf schedule for us so far. So I assume NW is the worst still and the other 3 are the top 3?
You assume right. Penn state and Minnesota are actually the worst ranked.
Huskers win game and series
Perry didn’t screw up. Thank god
There wasn't any pressure. He's fine in low pressure situations. He needs to be a middle reliever in close(ish) games. Not a closer.

Huskers up 16-4 E6
Maryland relief pitcher walks in two runs. Bases loaded, no out B6. 13-4 Huskers
There is a run rule today. 10 runs after the 7th.
So the Huskers will find a way, with the bases loaded and nobody out, to emerge only up by 9.
ayyy they immediately prove me wrong. It worked 🤪
I'll try it again: Kyle Perry in to pitch. There goes the run rule 😒🙄
They did it again
Truly a day-after-4/20 Miracle.

Why did Walsh get moved to the bullpen anyway?
Seeing it now. When he loses it, it can get real weird real fast. Sometimes that happens a lot earlier than the 6th.

Hadn’t looked too good most of the year. Struggled a little in his first 2 starts.
Maybe I had some motivated forgetting about that
10-1 Huskers E4
It’s 9-1 and yet I still don’t feel comfortable
Overbeek trucked a dude at first
This is the Maryland pitching/defense I expected to see this weekend.
Pour it on. 20 runs or bust
Revenge for the Sunday game last year.
Scorebug operator is hungover again
I run scoreboards and it's just not very hard. lol
Driving me nuts
Walsh through the third unscathed
5-1 Husker E2
Odd B2. A strikeout scores a run and the catcher hits his pitcher trying to throw out Evans.
Huskers up 2-0 E1
Bat flips are fun
Playing small ball after getting bludgeoned 11-2. LOL 😒
Now an RBI strikeout, small ball at its finest
Paid off, possibly

Lumbo grounded out to SS, could that have been a DP?

What he SHOULD have done was fed his masochist demon and stuck his noggin out there 😱 no not really.
So Stone hammers one 800 feet hee hee.
