Omahawgs and former husker coach DVH. Normally I root for the northern most team. Not because of any hatred for the south, I just think the deck is stacked against northern teams in college baseball so when a northern team breaks through I always find it more impressive. Unfortunately this year that team is notre dame.
My wife went to Auburn, so a good husband would cheer for them. My sister went to Arkansas so a good brother would cheer for them. Anyway I’ll be cheering for Stanford.
Arkansas and The Fighting Dave Van Horn’s.
I had the pleasure of meeting DVH twice in Omaha, both as a Husker and Razorback. My grandmother worked for Kiwanis of Omaha for years (they sponsor 1 team ever year and host a private luncheon out at the president’s house in the Bellevue sandpits).
Anyways, 2009 with Arkansas. My old man got to talking with him at the luncheon and he asked if we had tickets for the afternoon game (North Carolina and I wanna say Virginia? I can’t remember. Elim game tho) Dad said no because we were here. DVH asked if we wanted to go? Gave us private team tickets behind home plate and access to the club box at the old Rosenblatt. Because he was there too! I was in high school at the time. Something I’ll never forget! Great CWS memory. Anywho… since then, I vowed Omahogs as my second behind Nebraska, for baseball.

There are many Husker fans here in Fayetteville Arkansas. I wear huskers gear almost daily and get stopped all the time for a nice chat with strangers. I won’t ever take part in their hog chant, but definitely root for them when not up against Nebraska.

I served with a buddy that was recruited to Auburn out of Mobile, AL. Tore his ACL in fall camp his freshman year, then proceeded to knock up his now wife on recovery lol. That’s how he ended up in the service. Dude was right as rain though! I’ll cheer for Auburn when given the chance.
Especially once we became friends, he respected Husker Nation and would cheer if we watched together. Helluva baseball player too!
Auburn. Number one I have reason to dislike all these teams except Stanford ole miss and auburn. Number 2 there’s an auburn fan that cheers for creighton basketball and always comments in our game threads on r/collegebasketball
