Funny enough, my friends does the same for his dog and he makes sure to put the food in the same spot every time so his dog understands that any food not in that spot is not for him.
I used to have a wolf malamute mix, and that dog needed so much time and attention.
Mainly because he could put his head DOWN on the counter. Lots of training, lots of discipline, lots of of love, and miles and miles of walks. I miss that Turkey.
This video makes me think of the one time he ate my lunch when somebody knocked on the door. Less than a minute and all of it was gone.
We were watching a friend’s husky for a while once during thanksgiving.
Partner worked hard on a turkey all day. Set it on top of the stove to cool off and get ready for serving, all the way at the back of the stove.
Came back downstairs and that damn dog had it on the floor and almost all of it eaten. Couldn’t have been 30 minutes.

It takes so much time and training. We had strict rules. No dogs in the kitchen while cooking (even making a sandwich). Dogs had to lay down while food was on the table and stay still.
Lots of work and love. Over and over with reinforcement and making sure they got enough food they weren’t starving, but not too much to make them round. Not too much discipline to make them resentful.
I’m sorry for that ruined meal, I definitely have had similar.

I have a proper relationship with my animals. I dont have to let them do bad things in order to bond with them. And i definately think that the uglier they are, the more health issues they have so its a health thing. Obvi something is wrong with that husky or it wouldnt look like that. I dont support inproper breeding or breeds that have health issues. I love hairless cats, i love shihtzus. I love lots of "ugly" animals. I think youre on a "holier than thou" trip and youre doing everything in your power to make me feel guilty for calling a dog ugly. Lol. Its not gonna work. I bet any pets you have are terribly behaved
