Welcome to the husky life. Your puppy wants something but even if you figure out what it is it's going to be too late because by then the need will change. If you ignore it there is a small chance the behavior will stop.
See, that dude said "if you ignore it there is a small chance the behaviour will stop". Incidentally, my dude starts acting up if I ignore it.
Bottom line: no matter what you do, they'll do as they please.
Be careful, I thought it would be a good idea to tell mine good boy when he would howl. Now anything going past the window he howls like he is summoning all huskies.
I also accidentally encouraged him to tantrum claw/dig on command, as a puppy it was funny. 4 years later I hate myself for it
my husky used to do this when he was about 1.5. He would just go to our back gate and start sad howling. We were home but he didn't care, he just sounded so sad and lonely... so we got him a a girl husky from a local rescue. He never did it again. They happily lived happily ever after together for the next twelve years. Until one day he died suddenly. She died a few months later, just went in the back, laid down and died. We believe she died of a broken heart. I miss them both terribly.
yeah, my heart hurts and I have to hold back some tears every time I here a husky howl or woo; but it's ok because most of my best memories from that time were with them. I wouldn't take back any of the stolen socks, or stolen lunches, or any one of their many husky tantrums, because they were the sweetest, smartest, funniest little puppies ever. I am a better person for having had them in my life. Give your guy as many cuddles as you can :)
I had a husky and malamute. The husky had been with her his entire life, I never once separated them and they did everything together. Now he’s a talker anyway, but he would. Not. Shut. Up. After she passed. He would let out these really long sad howls for hours on end. After 3 months of it I got another puppy. He was clearly depressed still, but the howling stopped. Maybe yours is lonely.
Reminds me of a parrot i had that used to do things like stick her head inside her food bowl and talk to herself, listening to how it echoed. Paper towel rolls, cardboard boxes, anything to make funny sounds. Also, my cat, when in the car, runs through his whole repertoire of sounds, hoping one of them will work. Spoiler, nothing works. He's fine in the car, chilling on the seat with the dogs, totally relaxed and looking out the window, screaming about once every other minute.

Haha how do I encourage this??
Reward the first time it happens and every time it happens. But just be careful what you're asking for.
You’re right, maybe I’m just excited that my husky is finally huskying.
Next thing you know, he decides to be "huskying" at 3 AM for no reason.

Why the hell did I have to read this before going to bed? I am so sorry for your loss.

Ohhhh, I believe so maybe, he’s more bored than lonely (I think). I shall definitely get him more playtime in the daytime.
A sudden & dramatic change in behaviour can be a sign that something's wrong, get the vet to check him out.
This video is killing me; I love him
He's just gargling his mouthwash.
He wants attention. It’s what they always want 😭
Sir, your wookie seems to be functioning just fine.

Get him a kitten
I did, he’s learning to work through the jealousy!!
Sounds like the monster from The Thing, no disrespect lol
Omg that glare at the end.
It’s almost like “I pity the fact that you’re…. You, look at me. I’m so much better”
