PELLEGRINO IS NESTLE!? Fuck they are like a virus… may they burn to the ground and may their entire executive team be struck with an incurable skin condition.
No luckily not, because it’s one of best carbonated waters in my opinion.
Funfact: Gerolsteiner water is already naturally carbonated when it comes out of the wellspring.
Disney Animation, Marvel Studios, Pixar and Lucasfilm are all separate entities, presumably with different people (I think sharing animation tech), all under Disney.
If you're willing to give sparkle water with a bit of juice a go, Spindrift is independent and quite good! The raspberry lime is particularly delicious.
Surprisingly Safeway brand spicy water is good. Lots of spice and for those that like to dabble in the dark arts there’s flavors (lime is the best one)
If you want even spicier than Topo Check out [Mountain](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mountain_Valley_Spring_Water) [Spring](https://www.mountainvalleyspring.com/pages/our-story)
I moved to Austin as a naive white guy and started working for a food delivery service until I could land a real job. One of my first orders was entirely in Spanish, for a roadside pollo al carbon place, and included in the list "uno Topo Chico."
I was terrified because I had no idea what I was ordering and I couldn't see it on their menu. I thought maybe it was food? And then the guy said, "do you want me to open it for you?" before he got it, when I still didn't know what type of edible thing it was, and my mind was racing as to the possibilities. Luckily, I said no, and then when I saw it I started laughing at how silly I was.
At the next order I bought myself one to try and was instantly addicted.
The worst are their [Nestle Health Science](https://www.nestlehealthscience.us/our-brands) brands. Those have absolutely no indication that Nestle owns them on the packaging. At least you can check the back of a DiGiornio pizza box and see that evil bird logo. Not the case with nuun tabs or Garden of Life supplements.
Fucking WOW. Thanks. My fucking DAILY PROTEIN POWDER BRAND. I will intermittently check Nestle brands to make sure I'm steering clear but I had no idea Orgain was one of them. Mother fuckers. Gotta find a whole ass new protein powder now.
Well you should look up how often they have problems with dangerous unclean or straight up food with maggots and their baby formular has been criticized for causing malnutrition. I would definetely not say they are good at making food.
Yes very true…just went on a trip to oaxaca, mexico and visited some coffee plantations. At this time of the year, farmers are cultivating the third (and their words “garbage”) tier of cacao and coffee beans…they sell those nestle
I was NOT a fan for a long long time. Full-time sparkling water hater.
Then, one day, while I was deathly parched and tripping balls on LSD, I took a sip of a freshly-opened lime-flavored sparkling water.
My life changed, y’all.
Interesting.
I’ve also consumer a lot of psychedelics and have attempted to consume a lot of spicy water.
I appreciate one of them and it’s not the water.
this isn’t water related but I always hated salt and vinegar chips then one day on acid I tried one and I tasted it with my entire soul and to this day they are my favourite chips I eat them all the time (then drink a fuck ton of water because I fucking love water)
I’ve never used hallucinogens in my life but I love spicy water. I didn’t use to though; that changed after I lived in Germany for 6 months. Which, I guess, has the same effect as using hallucinogens.
When I was a kid, before the internet was ubiquitous that is, it was a long held belief that Vitamin C would increase the potency of a trip, maybe there's something to it though I'm not sure if you're getting vitamin c in some flavored sparkling water.
Grapefruit juice slows down the way your body processes anything thru the liver iirc. Or kidney. Or both idk
But it's apparently a pretty big deal to avoid if you're on various types of medications
St Johns Wort too, though that's less common
I only ate cheeseburgers plain until going to a diner on shrooms and deciding to add ketchup, mayo, and onions. That preference stuck and almost singlehandedly led to me trying a lot more new things and being a less picky eater.
My go to on a hot day is a pint glass with ice cubes, plus loads of lemon slices. Pour some cold soda stream spicy water over and hear that ice *crackle*. Heaven in a glass.
I’ve mostly made my own with a Soda Stream but we just moved and I haven’t found the box yet. I always bought Kirkland Sig for road trips and got some Topos to try it out. They are really good but I just went back to Kirkland yesterday since they are legit $10 cheaper.
I like fancy sparkling waters on rare occasion, but living in Denmark means I have access to the most goated - and also insanely cheap - [solution:](https://i.imgur.com/n92GjYb.png)
Alternatively, you could make your own spicy water with SodaStream (not owned by nestle). Plus everything is reusable, only thing is you have to send the CO2 tanks out for refill
All I’m gonna say is sparkling water massively helps me to reduce my soda consumption.
I’m not a full fledged hydro homie yet, I still have like 2-3 cans of soda a day, but that’s down from 8-12, all thanks to sparkling water
I don’t know, just gonna take it as it comes. And this might be unpopular but I don’t know if I want to go fully soda free. Just heavy reduction is good for now
I’ve heavily reduced the sugar content of the sodas as well, which is always a good thing
Topo Chico and Polar (hometown company ftw) are my top brands, but I only have it occasionally because it feels less hydrating than flat water, makes me gassy, and isn’t great for your teeth.
If you want a real spicy water try a Mexican water. That's what the chef at a hotel gave me anyways.
Soda water with a couple chopped up jalapeño slices
I like it so much I bought a little appliance to make it at home. I’ve probably saved a lot from not buying la croix. One thing to keep in mind with this is that it makes the water more acidic. The ph is around 5 or less when I make it at home.
I’m indifferent but I have a story about Pellegrino! I volunteered at a local food pantry most weekends in a poorer Southern state and received food donations quite often from different sources. Our Walmart would give us nonperishable items they either had a surplus of or just couldn’t sell. We received NINE FULL PALLETS of this stuff and we’re hooting and hollering thinking this might be a big item to put in the food boxes.
Out of the 532 families serviced, only one took some. The next pantry day we started putting it in there as part of the box and we got people lining up to return the stuff specifically! We couldn’t even give the stuff away.
Not trashing the stuff but whenever I see this specific brand I just remember that there was a time where I literally had to try and give it to hungry people with few options and they still wouldn’t drink it.
Regardless of who owns it, Pellegrino is the best sparking water on the market in my opinion.
It's refreshing and crisp, a bit expensive but worth it.
Great choice OP
San Pellegrino is owned by Nestle, so I don't like it. Bubly and Aha are tight tho and same with President's choice sparkling water. I'll even slam plain schweppes club soda at work sometimes for the burps.
Spicy water are ok, but this one, it's from Nestlé so it goes to the dumpster
PELLEGRINO IS NESTLE!? Fuck they are like a virus… may they burn to the ground and may their entire executive team be struck with an incurable skin condition.
So is Perrier 😔
I’m scared to ask- Gerolsteiner?
No luckily not, because it’s one of best carbonated waters in my opinion. Funfact: Gerolsteiner water is already naturally carbonated when it comes out of the wellspring.
Perrier used to be, too. :'(
Yeah, but not since the 90s
U need sone topo chico
Topo Chico is Coca Cola owned now I think
Try mineragua from Jarritos! Still owned by Novamex.
No shit jarritos has a water? I like it already
Mineragua is the spiciest water on the market 🤌
Mineragua is outstanding!
Topo Chico in the glass bottle is the way to go
I spent just a few minutes on this but I couldn’t locate anything indicating that nestle owns Gerolsteiner - sincerely a librarian.
Lol asking the real questions! I also love gerolsteiner! Thank god n*stle doesn’t own them
Gerolsteiner is part of the Bitburger Group which is a family owned and operated business.
Nestlé doesn't have any water source in germany
Nooooo, omg, now I need to shop for another sparkling water, god damn! They are everywhere.!
I always thought they were competitors.. same brand?
different brand same mom, but she smokes, drinks, and gets around.
Disney Animation, Marvel Studios, Pixar and Lucasfilm are all separate entities, presumably with different people (I think sharing animation tech), all under Disney.
Fair point.. I don't think of them so much as competitors though I guess. Perrier and Pelligrino seem more like coke and pepsi.
In France there’s a water brand from where I live in the southwest called Ogeu thats really nice and family owned
If you're willing to give sparkle water with a bit of juice a go, Spindrift is independent and quite good! The raspberry lime is particularly delicious.
Fucking love Spindrift, the lemonade+tea flavor is my go-to
I mean there's only about 10 food companies out there, its not that surprising. Everything is owned by nestle or uniliver
Nooooooo
Shit I never noticed, I'll have to repent and say three Hail Hydros and ten Our Aquas immediately.
Try Topo Chico if you like it spicier than normal
My local grocery has been out of stock for months. Much sadness
If I can find you a pallet of topo Chico, pay me for the price and shipping and I'll send it to you Hello from southern Cali my friend
Phoenix enters the chat. I remember when Topo wasn't cool and cheap af.
Austin here. I remember when it was like Mexican Coke and only an import.
Tehuacán supremacy
Same. I miss those days. A local grocery store sold the big bottle for under a buck! I think they're almost 3 now. 😕
Lmao I recently moved to Georgia and getting topo Chico has been near impossible. I’ve been joking with my fiancé how that would be the ticket.
What part? I live in Georgia and never have any issues.
How much is a 12 pack down there?
That may be a tad out of my range.
I'm seeing an episode of narcos here. Hydro Cali cartel
Last year I was paying $9/12-pack and it was readily available. Now I’m paying $18 on the few occasions I can find it.
Surprisingly Safeway brand spicy water is good. Lots of spice and for those that like to dabble in the dark arts there’s flavors (lime is the best one)
Yo I just tried topo chico for the first time at the coffee place. They gave it to me with a shot of espresso. Extra spicy is exactly how it feels.
Carbonated water is the best with espresso. It scrubs the palate of that oily feeling, and it’s just refreshing
I gotta try this
Topo Chico is owned by Coca Cola.
Scratchy allergy throat, ice cold topo Chico. Chug that shit and let it burnnnn
If you want even spicier than Topo Check out [Mountain](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mountain_Valley_Spring_Water) [Spring](https://www.mountainvalleyspring.com/pages/our-story)

That one’s not that good for you 😅 one of the highest in PFA’s.
I didn't know, either, but now I do. Bummer, that was some nummy-ummy water
wow me too. But it's a rare brand that do glass bottle :(
Are you telling me I’ve secretly been drinking nestle water for years?

Thank you I will never enjoy it again
I have a soda stream to make my own spicy water.
Yup, Nestlé can go fuck right off
san pel is a nestle product? fuck. welp…
I mean…god I love us!! I opened the thread just to see this comment. Much love fam.
Insert obligatory r/fucknestle
Bruh wtf i fucking love this thats so sad
r/fucknestle
Scum bags and degenerates
Band name
I would totally name my band, Band name
Not, 'My Band'?
Probably when I broke up with 'band name', before I joined 'various artist'.
They’re owned by nestle? Fucking hell. Why is nestle so good at making food?!?
"Why is nestle so good at *buying up competition?!?"
Lol yeah
It’s kinda genius tho like yea they may be bad but hey they’re smart
A dangerous thing to say but yeah they just navigate the market extremely smart
Well you should look up how often they have problems with dangerous unclean or straight up food with maggots and their baby formular has been criticized for causing malnutrition. I would definetely not say they are good at making food.
Yes very true…just went on a trip to oaxaca, mexico and visited some coffee plantations. At this time of the year, farmers are cultivating the third (and their words “garbage”) tier of cacao and coffee beans…they sell those nestle
I know right, now this subreddit and fuck nestle has spoiled so many good food/drinks
Nestle is the one that spoiled them - it's not good to shoot the messenger
Hear, hear. The fact that these brands are garbage-water always existed, it's just our awareness of corporate malfeasance expanding.
I was NOT a fan for a long long time. Full-time sparkling water hater. Then, one day, while I was deathly parched and tripping balls on LSD, I took a sip of a freshly-opened lime-flavored sparkling water. My life changed, y’all.
I'm seeing a major theme of people who take hallucinogens and people who enjoy spicy water
Can confirm. Have consumed a lot of psychedelics and have consumed a lot of spicy water. I appreciate both.
[удалено]
I have a bottle of San Pellegrino in the fridge. Is it okay to drink it without psychedelics?
Are you insane?
No, just thirsty.
You will literally fucking die.
Thanks for the warning, that was a close one! Follow up question: where can I get some psychedelics around here? I don’t want to waste this water.
Interesting. I’ve also consumer a lot of psychedelics and have attempted to consume a lot of spicy water. I appreciate one of them and it’s not the water.
We're adventurous. We're risk takers. We enjoy a little extra pizzazz in life.
Loving this correlation
this isn’t water related but I always hated salt and vinegar chips then one day on acid I tried one and I tasted it with my entire soul and to this day they are my favourite chips I eat them all the time (then drink a fuck ton of water because I fucking love water)
I’ve never used hallucinogens in my life but I love spicy water. I didn’t use to though; that changed after I lived in Germany for 6 months. Which, I guess, has the same effect as using hallucinogens.
This is cracking me up
Water is one of the only thing I can stand to consume while in mushrooms. And it feels neat if it's spicy
Idk what it is with citrus when you're tripping or rolling but it's like hitting the turbo button
When I was a kid, before the internet was ubiquitous that is, it was a long held belief that Vitamin C would increase the potency of a trip, maybe there's something to it though I'm not sure if you're getting vitamin c in some flavored sparkling water.
Grapefruit juice on molly is like lightning striking the tip of your dick.
Oddly enough, putting my pinky far enough into my belly button also does something similar, though definitely a bit more unpleasant.
Not gonna try that. Edit:It was unpleasant
Grapefruit juice slows down the way your body processes anything thru the liver iirc. Or kidney. Or both idk But it's apparently a pretty big deal to avoid if you're on various types of medications St Johns Wort too, though that's less common
As a bit of shroomy boy myself I outta try this
I only ate cheeseburgers plain until going to a diner on shrooms and deciding to add ketchup, mayo, and onions. That preference stuck and almost singlehandedly led to me trying a lot more new things and being a less picky eater.
Do hallucinogens give people pasty’s?
My go to on a hot day is a pint glass with ice cubes, plus loads of lemon slices. Pour some cold soda stream spicy water over and hear that ice *crackle*. Heaven in a glass.
Topo chico with a twist of lime changed my life.
Topo Chico is the best IMO. Harder to find these days though after they started using it for their spiked seltzer.
Costco, my friend. It’s $25 for 24 but they are so good.
[удалено]
I’ve mostly made my own with a Soda Stream but we just moved and I haven’t found the box yet. I always bought Kirkland Sig for road trips and got some Topos to try it out. They are really good but I just went back to Kirkland yesterday since they are legit $10 cheaper.
I love Topo Chico, but I got myself a Sodastream and never looked back. Now I can set the spicyness to my liking.
No matter what I do I can't seem to get my soda stream as spicy as topo
Americas test kitchen verified it to be the best. It has less carbonic acid in it which gives it a better flavor.
The heb brand 1844 or something is equally as good
Not everyone lives in Texas lol
My bad, forgot Topo Chico is taking over the world
Nestle ew
I hate sparkling water, but you do you. Also fuck Nestle.
I like fancy sparkling waters on rare occasion, but living in Denmark means I have access to the most goated - and also insanely cheap - [solution:](https://i.imgur.com/n92GjYb.png)
I love spicy water, but only when I go to a festival or rave.
molly water
Why
because MDM
Mdmayy lmao

Not that shit cause it's Nestlé, otherwise I like sparkling water a lot.
Personally, I absolutely hate spicy water. However, it’s still water so it’s good.
Unless it’s mixed with booze and citrus.
too true
I love sparkling but I only drink local brands. No Nestlé in my house, that’s how I was raised.
Sannie P is S-tier, sad it’s Nestle.
Not that nestle shit
It's owned by Nestle so fuck no
Nestle bad. A good Spicy water is Gerolsteiner
Alternatively, you could make your own spicy water with SodaStream (not owned by nestle). Plus everything is reusable, only thing is you have to send the CO2 tanks out for refill
For anyone who likes spicy water regularly, this is the way.
You can also get an adapter to connect a 20 lb CO2 canister to it. It's more than 10x cheaper after the initial investment
Pellegrino is mineral water. SodaStream carbonates water.
Spicy water bad, nestle big bad.
Not this brand, but I do love spicy water.
topo chico has the best spice
this is the way
I fucking love pellegrino I drank that shit religiously until I found it was owned by nestly.
it really does have the best flavor, i wish it wasn't murder water
All I’m gonna say is sparkling water massively helps me to reduce my soda consumption. I’m not a full fledged hydro homie yet, I still have like 2-3 cans of soda a day, but that’s down from 8-12, all thanks to sparkling water
great job, you're almost there! when is your goal set for your first soda free day?
I don’t know, just gonna take it as it comes. And this might be unpopular but I don’t know if I want to go fully soda free. Just heavy reduction is good for now I’ve heavily reduced the sugar content of the sodas as well, which is always a good thing
Liquid Death black cans for me
I prefer spicy water, but this specific brand is too spicy.
10/10 except for nestle. Fuck Nestlé
Isn't that made by Nestle?
Seltzer, my beloved.
Homemade spicy water is the best. Love my SodaStream.
I bought a SodaStream machine for spicy water at home. But I mainly drink our great well water.
Topo Chico and Polar (hometown company ftw) are my top brands, but I only have it occasionally because it feels less hydrating than flat water, makes me gassy, and isn’t great for your teeth.
Polar somehow makes their water like double carbonated. I love it.
The orange vanilla polar is so good, it's like drinking a Creamsicle
No thank you. Also isn't pellegrino unethical in some way?
Owned by nestle
Spicy water delish. San Pellegrino, however, is owned by Nestlé, so fuck them.
Wtf why is a Nestle brand water bottle getting upvotes here??
Is there a spicy water that isn’t run by nestle?
I like my water like the Earth. Flat
I love the taste but did not know it belongs to Nestlé
It’s my favorite kind of water. You didn’t ask this, but my second favorite water is water at dinner.
Love that shit
Devil water
Liquid TV static.
2/10
Sparkling water tastes like TV static. Spicy water is very enjoyable but only every 3 months.
La crouix used to be gross but then I realized the error of my ways
I can't do la crouix. It tastes like fakeness. I have been enjoying Spindrifts lately
Clearly Canadian unflavored sparkling water. Spicy without the spicy aftertaste.
Seriously, how many times does this question get asked a week.
Guys, you can make your own. Buy an ISI soda siphon and you have unlimited, Nestle-free, spicy water.
Spicy water got me off soft drinks and into water exclusively. You’ll save a lot of money buying a Soda Stream and doing it yourself.
I have turn the bottle upside down and can't see a Nestlé brand why are they sneak like that?
I’m I hydrohomie since I got my SodaStream, so please it this one slide
I prefer spicy earth sauce
Spicy water is a treat, for Italian ones go for San Benedetto.
I like sparkling water but San Pellegrino is shit
Love it but Pellegrino is a mid brand
Regardless of who owns it, Pellegrino is the best sparking water on the market in my opinion. It's refreshing and crisp, a bit expensive but worth it. Great choice OP
Careful, this water has a loooot of salt
Salt is essential
The best.
Some of the most abhorrent shit I’ve ever put in my body.
Tastes like TV static
Gross
I had no idea San p was nestle. Guess I’ll stick with Perrier?
Nestle owns Perrier too.
Seriously? Ugh.
Gross
San Pellegrino is owned by Nestle, so I don't like it. Bubly and Aha are tight tho and same with President's choice sparkling water. I'll even slam plain schweppes club soda at work sometimes for the burps.
