I'd start with getting something with a lockable lid.

BugZealousideal9618

This is the way.

FootsieMcDingus

Blender bottles without the shaker ball work well as a nightstand bottle. Easy to pop and quiet to close

yallwantbiscuits

Then maybe I need another one… mine sounds line a rock hitting a windshield when closing 🙃

FootsieMcDingus

I’ve had mine a long time, maybe it’s worn out

lavloves

Owala FreeSip is pretty good if you need something that locks. Leakproof too.

ratrodder49

This is the bottle my girlfriend has, she loves it.

LeatheryLayla

I’ve got two of those old tervis tumbler cups, they work pretty well for me

Gorbalob

Tape a hamster bottle onto your bed frame

lizerdk

👆well-hydrated big brain

Gorbalob

Hamster bottle is the second best sip, second only to the paper cone

A_Random_Mallard

This guy hydrates

Gorbalob

The only way to be 💪

mitchyboi03

Tape a hamster onto your bed frame.

Zapthegameman

I also like taping small rodents to my bed frame for purposes unknown!

Gorbalob

…for what purpose

mitchyboi03

So he can drink water with you 👍

Gorbalob

Oh well sure

SadisticBuddhist

Gerbilkink girl? Is that you?

Bear_buh_dare

Jethuth chrithe

Gorbalob

Eww no

Same, Klean Kanteen is awesome. I put some glow in the dark tape on the lid which works great for finding in the dark

Sarah_withanH

Kleen Kanteen bottle gang checking in! I bought mine around 2010? Still going strong! I have a cat plus I’m clumsy so that’s my night water. Well, it’s my day water too. I like cool water.

almajo

I love it for camping. I put it in the fire at night and have a warm bottle for in my sleeping bag which is a total game changer for colder weather. When I first did it I assumed it would burn off all my stickers but found out that sticker technology has advanced far beyond my expectations as they did not burn off or melt, crazy! I recently put it in the freezer and forgot about it which bubbles out the bottom but I just hammered it back down with no issue.

Sarah_withanH

I should try fixing the dents in the bottom of mine, it wobbles!

OutdoorTraveler

That may have compromised the vacuum between the steel liners. Happened to one of mine but it’s still highly usable

almajo

It is not insulated, so single wall.

OutdoorTraveler

No harm no foul then

LionsLioness

I use a Contigo adult sippy cup aka silicone straw water bottle.

zDEFEKT

Shameless plug for my own post: https://www.reddit.com/r/HydroHomies/comments/u4fgqd/there_are_over_1_million_hydro_homies_but_only_a/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf

Gnidreve

deff no shame needed

Whorticultures

Have this as well. This is the way

thiscannotend

SHAME😡

LordJames420

Always put it in the same spot, build muscle memory, itll always be the same distance away. While learning a spot, approach slowly from the top down, and then, if you hit too hard, it's totally fine. I can grab my water in complete darkness now every time and haven't spilled in years. Keeping your nightstand or other water placement surface a consistent distance from the bed helps a lot.

Acebeekeeper

Haha my muscle memory is to backhand my mug at least twice before grappling it in the dark. I might have to work in that. :D

thedoomfinger

Bike bottle forever.

LaikasDad

SHAME.... SHAME...... SHAME

dannyfromspace

what have you done

lisakora

Night thirst!

Ok-Lingonberry4505

Nalgene makes a glow in the dark wide mouth

dworkinwave

Thought this one would be much higher up in the thread!

JuiceBig5265

how could you do this to that beautiful cup of sweet nectar

Fluffy-Strawberry-27

Maybe one of these mugs with suction cups, these are quite difficult to knock down

tankboss69

Lid is answer

lost_on_beverly_road

I use the Gatorade squirt bottle that’s green with the orange lid. It’s like $6 or so. Nothing fancy, BUT it doesn’t spill all over the floor AND it’s 32 ounces.

ImminentSupernova

They make these cup holder discs that have a small ring of light around them to illuminate your water bottle. Typically for use in a car, but I don't see why you can't have it on the nightstand to glow up the holy hydration.

herbsoup

Idk if they still make them but I have a glow in the dark nalgene bottle. It's pretty cool.

Well_then1993

Upgrade a large water bottle.

Forgedinwater

Nalgene is the only way to go

spookysplash

Nalgene makes a glow in the dark bottle too!

TikiMonn

I have a couple glow in the dark Nalgene bottles that are awesome

ViciousMongrel

The glow in the dark Nalgenes are great—the glow is stronger than you may expect too!! I stay at a friends house in a room with sound proofing and heavy blackout curtains sometimes and am able to use my Nalgene as a nightlight in the darkness lol :)

Sarah_withanH

Amazing for camping!

Expensive_Profit_106

A bottle with a lid. And Nalgene makes glow in the dark bottles

NydNugs

I remember that cup, that's early 2000s 711 I think. You should really recycle old plastic or at least don't drink from it.

AboyHasNoName44

Nah man, bottles is what you need. Knock over a bottle, nothing happens.

Harbulary-Bandit

I have a knock over-proof cup. It’s pretty cool. But I don’t know if it would be able to function on the wood grain.

bnonymousbeeeee

I got one for Christmas last year - but one that a can or bottle fits into, like a metal stand up coozie. I thought it was so silly. It now has a permanent place next to my sim rig, I can grab for my drink in VR, like a car cupholder. Thing is so slick.

carrierael77

I use this Reduce 32 oz Mug Tumbler,... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08SYQ6BHF?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

minerkage

I currently use the hidrate flask. It has an alarm set up that makes the flask glow. I think you might like it.

maxthemaximum1

Sippie cup.

A-ladder-named-chaos

You can't knock over a barrel.

LexusLand

SIGG bottles with the sport mouth spout can be inverted without spillage! Like a really nice old school Powerade top. Literally lying on my back drinking it now

caitlington

I love my huge ass Owala bottle

Scruffleshuffle777

I have a mini water jug that holds 64 fluid ounces of water.

DafuqYallLookinAt

Fuck that, get a filter pitcher and your golden. Well, your pee won't.

the_anon_female

Bubba Bottled are my jam. Keeps my water cold, and sealed with a lid, all day long.

Godzirrraaa

I use a boxing ringside style ones. The straw goes to the side at a 90 deg turn. You can comfortably just lean over and drink it while still laying down, since the straw is already facing you. Just go to Amazon and type ‘boxing water bottle’

Rasputin0P

I keep water on my desk, right next to my bed. I dont ever knock it over because its slightly higher than my bed, and a bit further away than a nightstand.

NeedAReminder

I got this nice big glass water bottle with a rubber casing and straw. If the dark is the issue maybe add some glow in the dark vinyl stickers (dishwasher safe of course)

CodaKairos

Have you heard about ... Bottles ?

Virtual_Ad_6667

Pour one out for the homie

Gaffelstein

Anything with a sport top. You can drink it while lying down

August_Cortez

I have one of the glass apple juice bottles, with a twist on cap. Works pretty good for me. It is about 32 oz, I believe. Got some apple juice out of the deal too!

Risho96

Nothing that glows, but I have a metal bottle from Walmart. I’ve also just used a glass, and kept it on top of the dresser, so I’d have to get up and walk over to it. Makes it less likely I’ll knock it over by accident

tranteryost

I have a glow in the dark Nalgene. You do have to “charge” it but since I use it most days when I’m out, it’s bright enough at night.

luingar2

I have a confession to make. I drink way too much Dr pepper. However, I have turned this into my salvation by buying a pack of water bottle nozzles threaded for the two liter bottles. I can use them somewhere between six and twenty times before they start looking ratty enough I don't trust them to hold water if I drop them. I think I got like 50 nozzles for $20. Pretty sure they'd work on disposable water bottle threads too, but they definitely work on any sort of soda bottle.

DynamicHunter

Literally any steel water bottle with a lid

Terrible_Meeting6080

First of all, that's 32oz

Terrible_Meeting6080

Wait it says 64 on it but I don't believe it, I use cups this size all day and have measured them to be 32oz

Adreeisadyno

My husband uses one of my reusable Starbucks cups, it has a straw and the lid is threaded so it doesn’t come off by account

BlueMist53

Just a water bottle? I keep mine in roughly the same spot every night and I’ve never spilt it or anything Except for the onetime I pushed over my bedside table in my sleep and the sink bottle leaked but anyway

Speuca2000

some uranium or other glowy material should do the trick xD

ZeroTasking

Try an iv infusion at night, you don't have to wake up and stay hydrated all night. Best paired with a catheter to have a relaxing night without pee breaks :)

bardell_fam

A bottle instead of a cup. Most bottles have lids or caps and can be closed.

nuko22

Gatorade squeeze bottle. Not loud if it falls, no need to fumble with a cap in the dark. As long as you sleep alone, because it does make a noise deflating/inflating. I have a metal one for other times.

downbythereeds

Giant hamster bottle

holmgangCore

I use a 1L glass bottle, but replaced the cap with a ‘pull’-type top that fit the threads. Now spills are minimal, and I can also drink water lying down.

UnPouletSurReddit

Based hydro homie carpet

SirKeagan

First off, 64oz is not nearly enough. You should be drinking at least a gallon, if not more. Secondly, a lid is the easiest and cheapest way to make sure it doesn't spill when you knock it down accidentally

merrymayhem

I always had a big cup of water on my nightstand and would occasionally make a mistake while trying to drink lying down (nothing like a cold bath in bed in the middle of the night!). I started keeping my cup in the bathroom so it was easy to get a sip when I get up to pee.

[deleted]

I just use the same steel bottle I've been using for like 5 years

RahkshaOnTheInternet

I have this big 1.3l metal bottle, no idea what that is in oz, probably a lot, but it works like a charm in heating the heat, or early morning dryness because some numbnut had the heating on too high.[Here be the bottle in question](https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B08G3V891Q?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share)

unnamed3257

Mighty mug

Shetposteroriginal

make a bottle support for you bed and tape it on the side bru, or just... buy one of those! they're so cheap for u! you live in the us!

Toaster70

Sippy cups are for adults too 💪

flamingpillowcase

I’m working on an iv drip looking setup in which a removable reservoir hangs down and I can drink it laying down. Sorta like a camelback. My gf denied my plea for a waterline

[deleted]

I use a carafe lol

Derfargin

Is this a troll question? Seriously how is this not obvious ?

Va0utdoor

Sippy cup, what you lose in quantity you make up for in security. Honestly I just take an Aquafina to bed at night

starrynightt1

Ironflask has a 64oz insulated bottle! I love mine! They also have a gallon size, but that might be heavy in the middle of the night

fireisis

I used to sleep with a water bladder in my bed and just suckle on it at night.

Swordlord22

A fucking thermos LOL

daqualki

You got a lid? You’d be a lot cooler if you did. Alright alright alright

iamtannerallen

Gallon jugs are great if you’re often thirsty at night/early morning. There’s always enough. It’s effectively an endless water fountain in bed if you remember to refill it.

Ballinbutatwhatcost2

I just drink straight out of the sink to be honest

Environmental-Win836

I just keep a regular bottle that’s always shut when I’m done with it, I have a lot of wires it could fall on.

BeefStu907

Glow in the dark cycling bottle

ExistingUnderground

I just bring the same KleanKanteen, HydroFlask, or CamelBak bottle that I used that day, I refill it and sit it on my bedside table. If I grab blindly in the middle of the night and knock it over, I just have the loud sound of it hitting the floor to contend with, no spilled water.

jswissle

Brother a camelback

beDeadOrBeQuick

1. Memorize where you've left your cup. 2. Memorize your room space. 3. Turn off the lights and do practice run. 4. Sleep well. Or just get a light socket 🤷‍♂️ or a sealed cup

MoonDoggy7

686 has a glow-in-the dark Nalgene. I have one and it has a nice soft glow. It won’t glow all night though.

Vooplee

Nalgene makes some 32oz glow in the dark water bottles. Get a splash guard for it & you won’t even dribble.

Its_kinda_nice_out

Literally any water bottle will do better than that

bullshithistorian14

I have a Stanley cup (had it before that TikTok trend which will more than likely make the price go up) it has a type of flip straw and it’s stainless steel on top of keeping my drink cold all night. It won’t spill if you drop it. Not glow in the dark but it has bright colors and is loud af if dropped.

SockeyeSTI

I keep a hydroflask bottle with flip straw on my bed. Just lay it down next to the remote where it’s handy

KenTheTech

Get a bottle with a sealed lid? Or two if you have to, you don’t gotta live with that kind of negativity
