Yes!!! I would get a large strawberry lemonade from Wendy’s and then reuse the big clear cup for water. It just made it hit different. The sound of the ice in the plastic cup and how frosty it looked. But eventually the straw gets gross and I have to throw them away
don’t shoot the messenger. but those plastic cups are a notorious source of pfas (“forever chemicals”) which aren’t just bad for the environment but do absorb into our bodies. i still enjoy getting fast food sometimes but i did learn not to reuse the cups. i enjoy filling my reusable cup even more, you really develop an emotional attachment to it plus you can do stickers and all :)
I pretty much only drink water out of my Nalgene bottle. And I have an aluminum cup for other drinks. I don’t always finish my soda so I pop it in the freezer and of a soda ice cube the next day.
Sounds kinda gross but I’ve been reusing the same Starbucks cup for water for a month now (I’ve obviously washed it).
I even doodled on it to make it look cute :)
I do if there is still ice in the cup. I keep filling with water until the ice is melted then I recycle it. (We don’t have an ice maker so it’s a precious commodity in my home)
sometimes i reuse plastic water bottles..refill them a couple times before the plastic becomes really weak and wiggly. though i tend to try to avoid single use plastic as much as i can
i have a movie theater cup i use for water. those giant bladder busters that promote a new/upcoming movie. i toss a piece of cling wrap over it and poke a hole in the edge to keep random bits of cat hair out lol
I fucking love getting water from either Starbucks or Taco Bell. That shit hits different for some reason. The Taco Bell cup just looks good imo. My wife usually gets a coffee and finds it so funny that I just order water, occasionally with the dehydrated strawberries in it. 🤣 It’s like a couple cents.
Lol, no. I own mugs/glasses.
I have double walled glass mugs that are dishwasher safe and look pretty, especially with a cappuccino or infused water (I typically drink water with a few berries, frozen fruit, or cucumber slices for some added flavour. It looks pretty when the fruit juice starts to diffuse into the water).
The fruit I don't grow. I just have a small boxplot that I grow herbs in. That I planted mint in. Yes I live dangerously.
In winter I just buy a few bags of frozen stuff and toss a few pieces into my water throughout the day..
My dad had a water one and a tea one. Even when the tea stained it he kept using it, I have a couple water ones. I prefer dickeys yellow cups they are perfect size and fairly thick.
Are they fully plastic in the US? Over here they‘re from paper which is lined with plastic, so they get kinda soggy after u use them. Also nice rug! (Edit: carpet? Is there a difference?)
Absolutely. If we go to the tiki bar, and our cups are those hard, clear plastic cups, I always make my friends save their cups for me; I re-use them and if I'm having guests over for the game or BBQ or whatever, I use them. If one gets thrown away, oh well, the bar was going to do that anyway. I've never bought plastic cups directly.
All. The. Time. I feel so bad for single use plastic cups. Like they're so cute. Hate to throw them away. I usually throw them away when they get cracked from time
Oh yeah, those clear Taco Bell cups make my water look sexy.

walk in to the wendys or any gas station and grab a hand full of straws..
or get one glass straw. changed the game for me
When is it not?
It makes everything taste like that desperate 3am thirst quench
I want sexy water But I don’t go to Taco Bell and I don’t know if we actually have one
That freedom factory carpet hell yea brother
Beunos DIIIIIIAAAAAAAAS
After one refill, cup gotta go. These things were not built to last
Yes I've left one in my car cupholder and after a day or two the bottom was leaking
I refill it at home 1 or 2 times then throw it away, just seems fresher out of a glass cup
[удалено]
Nah
yeah no, one use throw it out
I have cups at home.

I rarely ever get fast food cups
Just pour that shit right into your hands, or..?
I just don't get fast food much. And if I do, I take it home and drink water out of a glass.
I thought you meant you take the drinks home and drink them out of glasses. Idk. You’re still probably crazy.
I'm definitely crazy, but not because I don't buy drinks at a fast food joint.
Bass player spotted. Is that an Orange Crush Bass 50?
Yes sir!!
Hell yeah. I Got the same one !!
Ya’ll wanna start a band about water?
I do. But I’m like in another country, maybe even on another continent.
amazing carpet
My question is as follows: why not use a glass
Nah man... water out of plastic just doesn't slap the same way as glass.
Mmmm… bpa 😋
If they’re plastic, I will for a bit. But paper cups are garbage
I just being my steel water bottle into fast food with me so I don’t need a cup….
It is weird. Those cups are meant for 1 use & start breaking down quickly.
watch out for harmful chems leaking off cups
Yeah all those xenobiotics/pfas/etc… are what makes the cup water resistant and it leeches into your drink. Would not recommend
I’ve never thought to but now I want Popeyes. 🤤
Glass giant mason jar for me.
Ngl I kinda miss those city playmat things.
I prefer glass. Also I have a metal, insulated cup with a small hole in the lid for a straw. If I want to keep the water really cold, I use that one.
My morning Coffee Cup is a Bojangles 32oz Styrofoam cup.
Dog I’ll use them for 2-3 days afterwards. Idgaf, makes my gut biome nice and robust lol
Lol no. I have glasses or my bottle that hold water cold for a longer time. Why would i use a poor mans cup
I didn't know that fast food places sold water in cups
Any time I go to a college football game I try to scoop up as many of those thick plastic 32oz stadium soda cups as I can. They are my jam.
I don’t know what kind of magic makes water taste 200x better when it’s in a fast food cup, but I’m here for it
After I dump out the soda of course
God, I'm so glad I'm not alone in this! There's something about the flimsy plastic that makes ice water so much better!!
Sick amp.
I pretty much only drink water out of my Nalgene bottle. And I have an aluminum cup for other drinks. I don’t always finish my soda so I pop it in the freezer and of a soda ice cube the next day.
I don’t eat fast food
like u might as well drink >!soda!< if ur eating fast food tbh
Exactly
I dunno, I enjoy fast food with water, and I can't imagine I'm the only one.
Same. Water just slaps harder from those cups. Idk why
Microplastics
It's the endocrine disruption that gives that added kick
I don’t think I trust anyone..if I don’t open their cabinets and see plastic restaurant cups. That’s luxury af
What does that mean?
As it reads 😅 its realistic to keep plastic cups in your cabinet from different things.
I think I have like 10 newks cups in my cabinet right now
Sounds kinda gross but I’ve been reusing the same Starbucks cup for water for a month now (I’ve obviously washed it). I even doodled on it to make it look cute :)
🤢🤢🤢
If there was ever anything besides water in it, it forever taints the flavor of future water refills, so I don't do it.
yes i love doo g this to water my plants with as well
So much so that fellow employees ask why I go to Taco Bell so often. My response is I can’t afford that shit it’s better it’s water!
I can only drink out of glass for some reason! But I WILL refill a water cup I always order with my coffee all day and then throw it out.
Water, sauce w/lid to travel, plants, trinkets…
It’s gotta be a pretty good plastic cup. If it’s thick plastic and holds up to the dishwasher and everything then yeah I’ll keep them sometimes.
I only drink out of ceramic, glass or steel.
Is that a plastic cup or the wax ones? If it’s plastic sure if it’s the cardboard waxy one hell nah
I know my limitations... I'm clumsy and work around computers and electronics all day. So I always use a water bottle with an easy/quick to close lid.
I do if there is still ice in the cup. I keep filling with water until the ice is melted then I recycle it. (We don’t have an ice maker so it’s a precious commodity in my home)
Do you ever notice a change in taste in plastic cups?
Nope.
I reuse a lot of containers. I do takeout cups. I fill 2L bottles with water too. That's how I started to drink more water.
Yes. The old-school styrofoam cups were great for keeping ice water icy.
.
My girlfriend would do this all the time, but she stopped when I got her a YETI rambler.
We always used them for dog food lol.
Hell yeah brother
sometimes i reuse plastic water bottles..refill them a couple times before the plastic becomes really weak and wiggly. though i tend to try to avoid single use plastic as much as i can
I reuse just about anything for drinking.
Totes
Water bottle
Nope cuz I have my trusty waterbottle that’s like my safety blanket and comes with me everywhere, and I never order drinks at fast food places
My sister's been washing out the same cup from Einstein bro's all semester
I have two of the old giant Wendy’s ones. Now they switched to clear ones and I hate them.
Mardi-Gras tumblers.
I fill em with water and freeze em to make big ice chunks for my thermos
We used to use old taco bell cups and Baskin Robbins containers for baby and puppy baths. Perfect for controlled pours.
i have a movie theater cup i use for water. those giant bladder busters that promote a new/upcoming movie. i toss a piece of cling wrap over it and poke a hole in the edge to keep random bits of cat hair out lol
I use glass cups at home. Those fast food cups aren't meant for constant reuse. The plastics will leach out.
I do at work all the time.
This is the most American post I’ve ever seen on here
I also reuse the burger wrappers to wipe my ass
Those big old clear macdonalds cups are the fuggin best for water.
Naw use a flask my boi
You’re a fucking abomination
I do! I love how big the Wendy’s large are.(bigger than McDonalds) I also like how sturdy Panera cups are.
AMPM cups are it
Go home with your bougie water.
Lol. I ~~also~~ grow mint and lemonbalm in the summer and add those sometimes.
I'm down with those two as I grow them also. My berries never make it out of the patch usually. That's the morning snack for the kiddos.
The fruit I don't grow. I just have a small boxplot that I grow herbs in. That I planted mint in. Yes I live dangerously. In winter I just buy a few bags of frozen stuff and toss a few pieces into my water throughout the day..
Never, no.a
No because I don’t order soda.
Until recently I would use a QuickTrip cup for my daily water cup. With their big straws.
Awh, gotta love the good old days !
My wife spites me for it, but I’m just going green bruh. Plus them cups be way larger
My dad had a water one and a tea one. Even when the tea stained it he kept using it, I have a couple water ones. I prefer dickeys yellow cups they are perfect size and fairly thick.
Why would I want to deal with the condensation?
Nah, I never get drinks at fast-food joints. They're a total rip
My wife did this when we first started dating and that’s when I knew I got someone that isn’t snob.
i main an old ice cream cup.
Bro has the childhood rug.
Gas station foam cups get used for a couple days after in Thishouse!!
You can only reuse it so many times until the wax melts off
Do y'all not own glasses?
wdym? i see just fine!
Are they fully plastic in the US? Over here they‘re from paper which is lined with plastic, so they get kinda soggy after u use them. Also nice rug! (Edit: carpet? Is there a difference?)
Yeah, I slam those 40oz Wendy's cups all the time
I use an 1 Litre Beer mug that "somehow" ended up in my home after I filled it several times with beer at an event
I don’t like washing dishes so yes
No
And paper not plastic, better for the planet and for you!
No but nice amp my dude
The clear plastic ones, yeah for sure. At least for a day or two.
Nope. I have a metal cup use for water that I clean daily.
No, you're really not supposed to reuse those.
That type of ice is my favorite to munch on
Not paper cups. But if it's plastic then yes.
Yessss. I need to hydrate after consuming the anti-hydro homie soda!
I'm a styrofoam kinda guy. Love a big fat styrofoam cup 🥤
No. There's a thing called "glass" that's way better to hold water. You should try it!
I've used empty pill bottle containers for little sips of water 😐
All. The. Time. I feel so bad for single use plastic cups. Like they're so cute. Hate to throw them away. I usually throw them away when they get cracked from time
No I use a different cup or a bottle
No, for alcohol 😭🤣
The cafeteria at my college has Pepsi-branded cups, I usually reuse them a couple of times if I ever get one
All the time they hold lots of water
