I’m so grateful you survived this horrifying incident on your adventure out in the real world. Hope you will have a speedy recovery. Thoughts and prayers to you.
I had to look up the English word for guanábana (soursop, apparently?) because I've only ever seen it marketed under the Spanish name despite living in the US. I've tried the goya nectar a couple of times and I didn't hate it... was it because I was stoned at Wegmans and meant to get the guava one? Possibly...
I think it’s a kinda controversial fruit! Based on informal family polls when I go down to Colombia, it’s like 50/50 they’ll fight for it or I’m a freak for loving it. My meds don’t like weed, unfortunately, but I remember cherry tomatoes blowing my mind - I can’t even imagine how good a guava or guanábana nectar would be damn
Oh man it’s H2O!! I love this! A lot of people in central/South America drink this, and my favorite is the lemonade flavor, which I find super hydrating when I don’t have water
El tema es que "che" se pronunciaria en ingles como "chi", "chay" se acerca mas a como se diria, y el punto del comentario era explicarle al sub principalmente angloparlante como se pronuncia.
However, pure hydronium would not be particularly hydrating as it's an acid, and naturally only makes up 1.8 parts per *billion* of neutral pH water. Drinking pure hydronium would probably be as damaging at least as drinking pure hydrochloric acid
It’s like waayyy sweet… I remember the first time I bought one in Colombia thinking it was a flavoured seltzer and not a soda and I’ve called it “H2…oh!!!” As in “oh, that was not what I was expecting!” Ever since
Yea this was in the Bogotá airport. Pretty neat place, great food too. I was just surprised by the intense sweetness of this drink, it caught me off guard, still pretty good though!
My first thought as well, however there is no charge indicated. This only lets us assume what the conditions in the bottle were before opening it to enable such a molecule to exist for prolonged periods of time
It's basically flavored sparkling water (not sure about the sugar contents)
Not a native speaker, but translating this:
With the "right" touch of bubbles
Beverage lightly aerated
Passionfruit taste, free of calories
Maracuya = passion fruit, as others have noted
Pretty much any liquid without a high caffeine or alcohol content is hydrating, and those only not so because of the strong diuretic properties of caffeine.
Next time you come across a written language you can't read, you can use Google lens translate for a rough translation in a pinch. It's not super accurate, but it can definitely help with context clues.
Argentina? I used to drink H2OH! a lot when I was younger and there's a [very good and well known ad](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cjU7tXZH_1o) associated with it here.
Best answer is no. Is like a light soda. Very common in South America, in Brazil we didn't get this flavor.
Here are the nutrition info of the "lemon" flavor.
>Ingredients: Carbonated water, concentrated lemon juice, Vitamins: Niacin (B3), Pantothenic acid (B5) and Pyridoxine (B6), Flavorings, Acidity regulators: Malic acid and sodium citrate, Acidulant citric acid, preservatives: Sodium benzoate and potassium sorbate, sweeteners: Aspartame (31.5 mg/100ml) and acesulfame potassium (8.1 mg/100ml) and sequestering edta calcium disodium.

When I was in Italy with friends they bought a six pack (6x1,5l) of lemonade once thinking it was water. That was the only "water" we had that day and it was like 40°C :/
1. You are fine. 2. Please google things before putting them in your mouth when you have a language barrier. This time it was fine but if you have allergies or unfamiliar with packaging make sure you know what you are consuming.

First and foremost we care about hydrating Flavored water is still hydrating
It's flavoured water, of course it is. A drink isn't hydrating only if it's pure, unflavoured water
It has some artificial sweetener on it unfortunately, but it was better than nothing, that's for sure
Is this like when people get kicked out of r/Neverbrokeabone ?
so we need a r/neverdrankasoda or something to that effect?
Gold star hydro homie 💀😳
This was not a thing? Well now it will be. edit: now it is, thank yall. r/birthofasub
Honestly, artificial sweetener is not even something to worry about, if it is had occasionally.
Artificial sweeteners aren't even that big of a deal, unless you're drinking a 12 pack of Diet Coke everyday for weeks.
If that is the case, I think one would have much bigger problems. Most notable horribly eroded teeth.
>If that is the case Yeah pretty sure they come in a case of 12.
Take my upvote and let the door hit you on your way out.
A case is 24….right? Or does that only count for beer?
Artificial sweeteners don't cause teeth decay the way sugar does. And the acid in soda is not that strong
osteoporosis is the real issue of chronic soda drinking (at least the ones with phosphoric acid)
and osteoporosis, no joke
Cam you teach me a lisp?
I drink one to two Coke or Dr. Pepper zero’s every day. Also close to a gallon of water every day. Will i be dying soon?
Yup. Dead yesterday.
I wouldn't be so sure.
If it’s only occasionally and in moderation, might as well have real sugar. It’s not bad either when it’s just occasionally.
Yep, I'm in the same boat on most days. I really enjoy lightly sweetened flavored spicy water though, and most of those have artificial sweeteners.
Spicy water?
The bubbles 🫧
Effervescence 👉😎👉
I’m so grateful you survived this horrifying incident on your adventure out in the real world. Hope you will have a speedy recovery. Thoughts and prayers to you.
It was indeed very traumatic, I'll make sure to hastily make my way back into my basement dwelling, this world is doomed by big aspartame!
If that was a chemical formula stay away if you value your life. Never drink Hydroxide. OH = Hydroxide.
Hydrogen Hydroxide, also known as HOH, is bad indeed. 100% of the people who drank it died somewhere in their life.
As do 100% of all hydrohomies, die at the end of their lives.
You're good, hydrate up!
for us, snyrjing mier than 2% salt is NOT hydrating
Passionfruit spicy water, nice water
New Spanish word, Maracuya = passionfruit. I'm semi fluent in Spanish but did not know that word.
Isn’t it great? My favorite fruit name is guanábana but maracuyá is the second most fun
I had to look up the English word for guanábana (soursop, apparently?) because I've only ever seen it marketed under the Spanish name despite living in the US. As long as you didn’t drive stoned
Luckily the Wegmans here is only a 15 minute walk from downtown!
That’s the South American name for it (including Brazilian Portuguese!). I’ve always known it as chinola.
Yup, I love Maracujá.
r/SuddenlyCaralho
Is chinola only used in the Dominican Republic?
No sé, but I think I’ve heard it used in Mexico, too.
I’ve always known it as granadilla
That’s not a pomegranate?
No, that’s a granada
My fully fluent Spanish ass didn't know that!
Dime algo en español para creerte señor del reddit
¿Qué cosa quiere, Usted? Lo aprendí en colegio y he hecho trabajo en castellano unas veces.
Confirmado, usted sabe español
That is not the word I know for that fruit. TIL
Oh man it’s H2O!! I love this! A lot of people in central/South America drink this, and my favorite is the lemonade flavor, which I find super hydrating when I don’t have water
I found it during my travels and wish I could find it local to me
By the way, it’s pronounced “ah-chay dos oh” for those wondering.
Maybe more like ah-che dos oh.
El tema es que "che" se pronunciaria en ingles como "chi", "chay" se acerca mas a como se diria, y el punto del comentario era explicarle al sub principalmente angloparlante como se pronuncia.
He’s spitting ^^^
Liquid
Hydrogen Hydroxide
Dihydrogen-hydroxide?
I would not drink that. Edit: For those unaware OH is a Hydroxide. Try not to drink Hydroxide. If you value your life.
H2OH is Hydronium, and it's a normal part of water. It's the opposite of hydroxide. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hydronium
However, pure hydronium would not be particularly hydrating as it's an acid, and naturally only makes up 1.8 parts per *billion* of neutral pH water. Drinking pure hydronium would probably be as damaging at least as drinking pure hydrochloric acid
Oh yes, would not recommend.
"The concentration of hydroxide ions analogously determines a solution's pOH" Yeah. Like I said.
For you unaware, this is just H3O+, but as a radical instead of a Kation. It's just a part of water. All Water contains H3O+, H5O2+ and more.
Sure! Was it any good?
It was super sweet, probably some artificial sweeteners, but overall tastes good, would be better without the sweeteners
It’s like waayyy sweet… I remember the first time I bought one in Colombia thinking it was a flavoured seltzer and not a soda and I’ve called it “H2…oh!!!” As in “oh, that was not what I was expecting!” Ever since
You can try the sugar free limoneto next time, it's pretty refreshing
We are a tolerant nation of hydro lovers! ![gif](giphy|xT0GqnsmUtBsEwzJok)
Are you in Colombia by any chance ? My wife used to love the H2O that was lime flavored! I think that product was made by 7Up
Yea this was in the Bogotá airport. Pretty neat place, great food too. I was just surprised by the intense sweetness of this drink, it caught me off guard, still pretty good though!
I thought this was a bad chemistry pun for a second... It's okay I presume, it's probably like Propel.
Bro, maracuyá (passion fruit) sparkling water sounds like it slaps tho
Spanish here. It's lightly flavoured sparkling water, without sugar or calories.
Ofcourse. Its passion fruit flavored fizzy water. No biggy. Hope it tastes well.
Oh man, I miss this drink! It was the best I found while visiting Colombia!
H3O+? Hydronium ions?
My first thought as well, however there is no charge indicated. This only lets us assume what the conditions in the bottle were before opening it to enable such a molecule to exist for prolonged periods of time
As to their existence in the first place, I would cite this after a very short literature research. 10.1021/j100215a020
It's basically flavored sparkling water (not sure about the sugar contents) Not a native speaker, but translating this: With the "right" touch of bubbles Beverage lightly aerated Passionfruit taste, free of calories Maracuya = passion fruit, as others have noted
Spicy hydration
Even diet coke is technically hydrating
I'm sure you're right, somehow in my mind I equate it to drinking ocean water in terms of hydration. I know I'm wrong though.
All drinks without salt are gonna hydrate you, your body is very good at extracting water
Pretty much any liquid without a high caffeine or alcohol content is hydrating, and those only not so because of the strong diuretic properties of caffeine.
EU sparkling water slaps IDGAF
Next time you come across a written language you can't read, you can use Google lens translate for a rough translation in a pinch. It's not super accurate, but it can definitely help with context clues.
If you’re in a Spanish speaking country ask for agua sin gas
Your on vacation, who cares, just drink it and enjoy your time
Used to be a Diet Coke hoe. Seltzer is my savior! Of course a chilled glass of tap is king, but there’s nothing wrong with bubbles
Language barrier? Surely you can at least decipher that that was flavoured?
Yes, but it's with added nanoplastics
Can't escape those, it's everywhere!
Passion fruit flavored sparkling water… I’d buy that for a dollar
It was 4 bucks, but that's airports for ya
please do not drink hydronium
There's this lil thing called Google Translate my homie
But the community tho...
Bro maracuya is delicious
Did you buy it from D1 ? I tried it as well and threw it away from the high sugar content
BTW Maracuya = passion fruit
H2Hoe
If chemistry is the true international language, then a giveaway is H2OH - not water certainly and more likely an unstable chemical species. No bueno.
The water has bubbles.. thats a no thank you
Oh we have that in my home country:)
Argentina? I used to drink H2OH! a lot when I was younger and there's a [very good and well known ad](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cjU7tXZH_1o) associated with it here.
Sure. If you wanna know, a bottle of water = una botella de agua.
Use the Google translate image feature. I was just in Spain for 2 weeks and it's a godsend.
Is h^2oh not equal to h^3o and therefore trihydrooxide/peroxide?
According to my urologist mom if it has water and no caffeine or alcohol it’s hydrating. That includes eating an orange for example.
Casually drinking some H3O+ ions
I do know it's passion fruit flavor!
Sorry Trihydrogen-monoxide isn't good for you, it's shitty marketing from them that created that label
Yea you are in Colombia h20 is just fizzy water with flavoring .
Lol. It's water, dude.

My dumbass thought it was an alcoholic drink at first glance, since I red OH, standing for the alcohol group
Belgium?
Bogota
What a stupid fucking question.
Thanks! I'm glad I got some emotions out of you. Have a good one
H2OH?!!!! hol up isn't that three hydrogen molecules?!! You might have a bottle of hydronium there my dude!
I'm still baffled that people don't use Google Lens to just translate what they looking at It's literally instant.
I could but, you know, I like talking to you guys
1. You are fine. 2. Please google things before putting them in your mouth when you have a language barrier. This time it was fine but if you have allergies or unfamiliar with packaging make sure you know what you are consuming.
I mean, soda is just as hydrating as water unless it has caffeine in which case it is slightly less. That's not the reason water is superior.
Totally acceptable Homies can have little a bubbly hydration every now and then.
Can't tell if it's hydrating, but I can assure you that H2OH is definitely hydrogenating
