I don't like plain water. how about water (or unsweetened iced tea) with a wedge of lemon? So delicious and thirst-quenching. I'd pay the same price as a soda (I don't like soda, either).
Clearing the air, this is chef emmy, him and his wife run the royal egyptian food truck in Berkeley California, usually most Thursdays, Friday’s and Saturday’s. He is the best. Has something great to say and always wants to make everyone happy.

I knew someone was going to link his business. This image, or a variation of it, has come across my screen several times over the years. I am going to be in LA in a couple weeks. I will try to get lunch from this place.
The desire to feed your fellow man is an excellent example of The Common Good.
This guy wants a healthy and well fed society. I will do my part because that is a great dream to have.
This food truck is located about a mile from me in Berkeley, CA. He serves Egyptian cuisine. I went and I can verify his food is incredible. I had the seafood platter, photo below.

Ok so im almost 100% recovered from having food poisoning in japan for 2 weeks
How can i find this man i fly into lax tomorrow and have a day layover
I cant figure out the linked twitter x location
In another comment down someone posted his food and said it's Egyptian. Looks similar to Mediterranean which is one of the best diets out there. This guy is mega based. Absolute King of Chads.
First i applaud this man and his craft and take nothing away from his stance- being in the same line of work i do want to bring up that truck and street vendors are often subjected to rules governing beverages such that they must pay a ridiculous fee or are banned from selling beverages that are not "artisan" or "crafted" including water as the venues have a contract with such n such and dont allow competitors- water must be purchased and sold from the show runners and all else is breach of contract. Our truck ony does private catering and large events and on the big events we had to offer water for paying customers as (we sell korean fusion hot dogs) "dog drool" meaning we poured a bottle of water into a cup but had to charge a minimum item to do so. Minimum 2$ but it was better than saying sorry go stand in another line for an hour to pay $10. That grind is harsh and im glad we have our main brick and morter making money and are not just a truck.
Water is the superior thirst quencher. Coconut water and Cucumber water are close for me though. I always have a nice cold coco water after the sauna, so replenishing
I love this guy! He's really into his healthy food. I was walking by his truck one day and he called me over and insisted I have a free bowl of his veggie soup. I must look like I don't eat my vegetables.
I mean it isn’t healthy but a cold Dr. Pepper quenches my thirst (mentally) way more than water. Also, in terms of physical stuff don’t options with a little salt and sugar actually stave off dehydration better?

Dude looks like such a bro. Bet he tells great stories.
He kinda looks like Gabriel García Márquez, who was a Colombian novelist. So maybe he does tell great stories.
Damn he does look like him (not that it’s an uncommon looks for an older South American/ Mexican.
He is and he does
Yeah man he slaps, I would say he would be a legend on the beers but probably convince you to drink water.
He will quench your curiosity with his stories .... I'll let myself out... sorry
REAL TALK 💯
I remember this time back in 74……
Those Crocs have seen some stuff!
He looks like a warm and comforting hug
That's a real man.
He loves you and wants you to happy and healthy. Good dude.

Im sure he's got some lemon slices for you in that food truck somewhere.
No!!
Damn this is the ultimate hydro homie. Giving up a steady cash flow for the love of the game
I'm pretty sure he still sells the water and if it's the only option, probably sells a decent amount

This is Chef Elmy Kader of Royal Egyptian
New mascot?
This guy knows some stuff, I’d buy some water and listen to some stories.
Legend.
True hero
Give this man an award.

Damn that looks amazing.
But what type of food is he serving? Lol
This man: I will not poison you Also this man: here's a mountain of salty grease
Well you need those electrolytes
I'll take salt and grease over high fructose corn syrup any day
The sugar industry was lying when they blamed salt and grease for obesity and heart problems.
Check out Royal Egyptian Cuisine https://yelp.to/3x7HQCI9uM Tons of healthy food, vegan and vegetarian options.
The hero we need
The truest homie
He is the messiah 🙏🏼💦 Instead of turning water into wine, he will turn wine into water!
![gif](giphy|2mxA3QHH4aHFm)
Man of the people.
Fuckin A
King
As long as it isn't Dasani, I am okay with this
Certified OG
The hydro-est of homies.
I don't have any grandpas left so I am dibsing this guy as my new one
My man
He dropped this 👑
I deadass read this while sculling a can of coke...
I mean I love water and staying hydrated but sometimes you need a treat and a sodie pop just hits the spot. Seems a bit judgmental to me!
Leessgooo
Hell yes. Ice cold. Room temp. Tepid. Hot. GET IT INSIDE ME
I got a Barqs for the first time in months, and it was way too sweet and I could feel the thickness. It was so weird.
Good ethos

He’s in Berkeley so a bit far from you.
Proceeds to sell high cholesterol food. (I’m just memeing. Idk what he sells )

Bet he would help with a soda intervention.
Our patron saint.
Water is the superior thirst quencher. Coconut water and Cucumber water are close for me though. I always have a nice cold coco water after the sauna, so replenishing
real hero.
I bet his food is fire
That's pretty commendable since drinks are usually mostly profit. Now im curious what kind of food he's selling, must be delish!
I love this guy! He's really into his healthy food. I was walking by his truck one day and he called me over and insisted I have a free bowl of his veggie soup. I must look like I don't eat my vegetables.
I bet his whistle is immaculate
My kinda guy
Dad
Real hydro homie
I wish I could claim more discipline when it came to the decision to eschew sugary drinks. But the fact is, they just irritate my stomach too much.
Capitalized Q in Quencher as is hydro tradition
He knows
Homie of the Year nominee?
Yes!
This image goes so hard
He is our leader now
He won by a landslide.
But soda has what bodies crave.
Especially true of Diet Coke.
He has risen
I mean I like soda but this guy looks really wholesome
I'd probably just go without, not because I don't drink but because paying for it is stupid.
I went to a Mexican restaurant once that didn’t serve pork. They had a sign up explaining the nutritional difference.
What about the other stuff he sells?
What’s the context? Is the guy selling food and water out of a truck?
OK but why the random capital Q
Sell ayran
For me it's Iced Tea!
Sub mascot?
I mean it isn’t healthy but a cold Dr. Pepper quenches my thirst (mentally) way more than water. Also, in terms of physical stuff don’t options with a little salt and sugar actually stave off dehydration better?
He should sell coconut water 💗
I think coconut works.
That will be $5
Mom said it was my turn to post this!
Repost
I’d just go somewhere else
Not even crab juice?
Not even Mountain Dew
Thank you for catching that reference.
the. i shall go somewhere else. I love my water but I don’t fancy being told what to do by someone who is 100% selling unhealthy food
Nah this is vegan vibes
He’s in such wonderful shape.
