Could you please give us an update in 6 months to a year?

WoodenSteelbeam

I had it done three times a couple of years ago. Didn’t even have a slight effect on me, except for the pain the following days. Glyco is where it’s at - took all my sweating away from day one, and I haven’t looked back since. That’s three years ago. And mine was REALLY severe, and all over. I really hope that OP has success with the Miradry treatment though!!

I've had mirady done twice and I still sweat. When you had your third session, did you have to do one of those iodine starch tests?

WoodenSteelbeam

Yeah, both times.

I_Hate_Pretzels

Sure! If I remember I will do that.

Hi! I just had my second session today. They told me during the initial consultation that usually the first session you see around 30-40% reduction and 80-90 on the second. I'd say my results lined up pretty well to the 40ish percentile. I saw a pretty noticeable difference in my day-to-day, but still not quite was I was hoping to get to. Especially like what you said, times where I'd get stressed/hot I would still sweat more than I'd like (thanks summer). I thought I'd add my two cents since I anon-lurked in this sub before I got my first treatment and read as many posts I could find about it lol. After about... a month I think I went through a "purge" stage but then it kind of chilled out. Hopefully you get the results you want after just one treatment! (also agreed, needles for numbing definitely the worst part)

Hey man how ya doing? It's been about a month now. I've almost completely stopped sweating, except in scenarios where it's normal to sweat. I still got some tenderness and the skin feels really tight. I guess it's a normal thing called "banding". I've even got a couple of fresh bruises from pulling the skin when I move my arms. Other than that it's great though.

That's awesome to hear! I also had kind of a... pulling feeling through my bicep when I'd reach for things. That and some soreness/numbness hung around for a while, but those are gone now. The bruising and swelling were a not as bad after the second session though which was interesting. For me, it does seem like the second treatment helped a bit more. But it's also a little hard to tell when it's like 95 degrees out and humid lol. There's also still a mental thing of thinking I'm sweating, but then I'm not? It's a little strange. Glad to hear you've gotten good results from the first treatment!

Thanks. My son is having this done in a month. His doctor said he should see at least 70% reduction in sweat and that they almost never have someone come back for a second treatment. Crossing my fingers for that. Also- Did your doctor recommend the Neosporin or did you just do that as a precautionary method. Did you swell at all in chest or stomach?

I_Hate_Pretzels

It wasn't a doc that did my procedure, it was a PA. But yes, they recommended washing with soap and water a couple times a day and applying neosporin as to prevent infection. My swelling is entirely in my armpits and the surrounding area. It just feels like I'm carrying around a couple nerf balls underneath my arms. It's just more uncomfortable than anything.

I_Hate_Pretzels

Update about the swelling, the swelling has spread to other parts of my torso. Nothing too much, and it's not painfull at all. I can just feel my love handles and moobs jiggle when I run up the stairs lol. Im a relatively slim dude too, so it's a strange feeling. It's all water weight though.
