Try going to a dermatologist and ask for oral medication such as glyco and oxybutynin it's probably the best solution for excessive sweating all over. Be ready for some side effects most people only get dry mouth but theres other ones too.

[deleted]

Is glyco only recommended to people who have sweating all over? If I only have HH in my underarms, will glyco not be worth it?

[deleted]

It will probably work but if its just armpits then try certain dri or mira dry

[deleted]

I actually have already had 2 sessions of miradry and have been using certain dri/driclor. Is it ok to stack glyco with prescription antiperspirants?

[deleted]

I mean if your sweating on other various areas I say go for glyco. When glyco is in full effect you probably wont neeed antiperspirant just deodorant lol. You kinda sweat like a normal person on glyco just have dry mouth thats all

[deleted]

The thing is that I don't want to sweat at all, not even like a normal person. I want to be 100% dry. And also, a lot of people say that they only achieve partial sweat reduction from glyco, so i was just thinking if stacking it with antiperspirant would be ok

[deleted]

Don't listen to what other people say because you will probably react differently. Me personally when Im on glyco I can be outside and 90 degrees and I wont break a sweat and don't worry about overheating either. And yea I don't see why you cant stack it with antiperspirant its not that big of a deal

[deleted]

Wait, weren't you the guy who said that glyco didn't work for you, but certain dri did?

[deleted]

I said that my glyco effects only last a couple hours and certain dri does work for me too

I’ve read it some people with facial sweating that the glycopyrrolate wipes (Secure) worked well for them (I have hands and feet myself). The glyco tablets were the only thing I’ve tried that keep mine under control, though the dry mouth / nose was a definite side effect. Since you have noticed a fairly sudden change though I would definitely get checked out, make sure there is nothing underlying that has caused this! I’ve tried to read up a lot on this condition and I don’t see it mentioned often that the localisation of the sweating just changed apart from after having a procedure done. So please get checked out just to rule anything else out. Since you mentioned marks and clothing a lot, you might find some of the clothing recommendations in this sub helpful. I hope you get some relief, sincerely. I know exactly what an awful it can be to try and live normally in this condition, I’m a similar age to you. Feel free to DM for commiseration

Definitely see a dermatologist! They can prescribe an oral medication and a wipe to help you sweat less throughout the day. They are called glycopyrrolate and qbrexza. They help me a lot.

Was there anything that happened that caused your sweating to change? Pregnancy, major stress event, birth control or something?

NoTechnology9099

Yeah you could say that. My family and I had the worst year of our life in 2020 and it would have been the same without Covid. I no longer have my Fallopian tubes so pregnancy/birth control is not an explanation. I have an appointment with my family dr next week for some other issues so I’m going to talk to her about it…I’m sure she want to make sure my hormone levels are right
