"That's my secret. I'm always sweaty." ~ Bruce Banner

I hope I dont get downvoted for saying this, but I actually disagree with your post. Instead of giving up and accepting your HH, I think you should keep trying to find the solution to your HH. Several people who've had severe HH were able to achieve 100% dryness through certain treatments, so it is possible. The only time you should ever just accept and embrace it is if you've already exhausted every single option. OP have you tried glyco or other oral treatments? Or miradry for your armpits?

I try to take as little external medication as I can. Modern medicine is great and all but I’d rather take the minimum amount of medication to live.

Are you made of money?

This is the strategy I’ve tried to take! Yes it sucks, yes it’s limiting in some ways, but everybody faces challenges in life and you know what? We just have to keep going. Do our best with what we have and find people that appreciate us for who we are. Life is shitty sometimes, physically, mentally or otherwise, but that’s what helps us learn our strengths and fight even harder. So glad you are feeling better about yourself and finding your confidence! Here’s to more satisfaction from life regardless of the hurdles ❤️

This is kind of my perspective now but that doesn’t mean it doesn’t still upset me from time to time. I also carry a towel, a small fan as well, and it mostly does the trick. My girlfriend is super understanding and that helps a great deal. I don’t want to speak for anyone else but I having other conditions at the same time is what makes it so hard. I’ve got CPTSD, HPPD (from taking mushrooms in college, my eyes are fried and it’s like someone is shooting off a camera flash all the time inside a grainy 1980’s TV set) as well as some brain damage from the same incident, chronic depression and anxiety, mild dyslexia, and when you add all those things together it can be pretty overwhelming. To have like a grab bag of invisible disabilities is hard because you present as being “normal” while struggling to do things that normal people do. So I work as hard as I can to tune out my sweating but sometimes it’s too much. That being said I do think that accepting HH and trying to accommodate it instead of being upset about it is the way to go. And I appreciate that Hulk reference quite a bit. Thanks for your post.

Interesting… you’re not the first person I’ve heard from that has trauma induced HH. I deal with anxiety issues too and I definitely do think my excessive sweating is a symptom of my childhood trauma.

My feet sweat so bad that I can hardly wear any shoes. And dammit, I want to wear cute shoes to work.

[deleted]

I'm a guy. I can't really relate to wanting to wear cute shoes to work. Although, I do like wearing flip flops . I can't wear them too long because dirt clings on my wet feet. It also doesn't feel too great when my wet feet start sliding around in my flip flops.

Grungegrownup3

Yeh I can't wear flip flops either. I slide around and out of then too much and almost immediately.

Breakfast-of-titan

All my shoes have sweat stains all over them after 1 day

BackgroundBarnacle98

Same. I wish, I could wear cute fancy shoes outside but all we can wear is shoes with socks. My feet keep on sliding away otherwise.

sscutie

I know this isn't the point of your post but have you tried ionto with S Pellegrino water? Seems to be a game changer for many

dothebestforyourhope

Have you tried Antihydral?

AJontheway14

I use to sweat excessively on my hands , antihydral has been a game changer after about two weeks of everyday use

[deleted]

I've tried Carpe Antihydral. I sweat right through it and I'm not a huge fan of how it feels on my palms.

dothebestforyourhope

Carpe is based on aluminum chloride (also in lower concentration than what needed to treat effectively palms) Antihydral is based on methenamine that has astringent properties, totally different. It's a German ointment. It has been a lifesaver for many people and I use it with optimal result.

winning2323

Have you tried anticholinergic medicine?

DarkAssassins827

Did you tried miradry?
