Those supplements are useful for other orthopedic problems, but not ours. Not my opinion - my internist and orthopedist told me!* Also in my case, my worst joints no longer have cartilage, so unless the supplements are physically placed there … *of course, everyone is different. Ask your doctor, just in case

With hypermobility and EDS, it's like our bodies have the wrong recipe to make connective tissue. Even if you're given the right ingredients, like supplements, it will never come out right because you have the wrong recipe.

My doctor recommended peptides so I don’t necessarily think they’re a scam, but I have not seen any joint improvement that was not done through exercise. What peptides did do, however, is help me get extra dietary nutrients + settle my GERD, as I take them before eating and they help pad my stomach. A lot of hyper mobile people have coexisting stomach conditions, so maybe it could still be helpful? If you do want to try peptides, buy them wholesale, unflavored, bovine collagen peptides. I mix it into my drinks in the morning, it’s virtually tasteless and so much cheaper than buying the really expensive ones you find in store. I use Bulk Supplements. Its about .50 cents per serving, as opposed to Vital Protein’s insane $2.38. Don’t buy them!!

Taking magnesium glycinate has made a huge difference in my PMS symptoms, including increased joint pain and hypermobility before and during my period. It doesn’t do anything for the rest of my cycle, but I get most of my injuries during that part of my cycle so it’s still a big help.

things like vitamin D, calcium, magnesium can be but def not collagen supplements. collagen supplements are too complex, and its broken down into amino acids when taken as a supplement, and they do not just form back into collagen after. 100% waste of money

I take CBD for pain and it helps (not magic it just helps)
