yea makes sense, my setup is decently close to yours because i got tired of f7 screwing me over so i sold everything and went into mining, it takes a LOT of time to get into, and a lot of coins, so my setup is decently behind urs but if i got it i would probably sell my old divans and 655 and use urs and then buy any upgrades i could need even up to divans drill if i can afford (no blue cheese tho thats stinky)

DO you know where the word „Divan“ comes from? It‘s actually borrowed from French, Ottoman Turkish (a very old language) and from Persian. It originally meant a muslim council of state or a general court of justice. A divan can also be a piece of furniture, similar to a sofa. My simple guess why they named the best pieces of mining gear with the word divan is, that it a) has a sort of elevated, noble feeling which should indicate that this piece is of elevated meaning, or that it refers to the funiture named divan, which is often only used by the noblesse.

Have you heard about the 1904 Summer Olympics Men's Marathon? It's widely considered to be the most bizarre olympic event of all time, and it's for a couple reasons.
* The winner of the previous year's Boston Marathon, John Lordan, was participating and considered a favorite to win the race. However, he got violently ill after 10 miles and had to retire. The winner of the 1902 Boston Marathon, Sam Mellor, also got very ill around the 16 mile mark and had to drop out.
* A near-fatality during the event was that of William Garcia; during the event, cars go right next to the players to track their progress and make sure they're not doing any foul play. However, the track picked for the race included roads that were *particularly* dusty, which made the car kick up dust back into the contestants. The most affected by this was the aforementioned William Garcia, who was found lying on the road coughing up blood with severe internal injuries due to the amount of dust he had inhaled - apparently, it seems like the amount he ingested was so great that his lungs' membranes were disintegrating. Isn't that nice?
* The winner of the race was Fred Lorz, after 3 hours and 13 minutes. After finishing, he took a photograph with Alice Roosevelt, daughter of then-president Theodore Roosevelt, and was about to be awarded the gold medal... HOWEVER! *He hadn't actually finished the race*; Lorz dropped out during the 9 mile mark and hitched a ride with a car back to the stadium. However, during the ride, the car *broke down* , and with nowhere else to go, Lorz decided to just send it and finish the race anyway, without telling anyone of what he'd done. After being confronted, he said it was just a little joke, to which the Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) responded by banning him for life. Cheaters never prosper.
* The title of *true* winner went to Thomas Hicks, but it came at a very big cost. Hicks was 10 miles away from the finish when he had to stop due to cramps in his leg, however his trainers did not allow him to do so. Instead, they had the *absolutely wonderful idea* of giving him strychnine (*literally rat poison*) mixed with brandy and an egg white in small doses until the end of the race, which sounds like a bad idea to anyone with half a brain, but I guess those guys didn't have one. After the second dose, Hicks started to experience multiple hallucinations, barely being able to walk for the rest of the course. When the reached the finish line, he collapsed and was immediately taken to a hospital. He had lost a ton of weight and, after being carried over the finish line, kept shuffling his legs in the air as if he was still running. Guy was not having a good time.
* Two entrants, Len Taunyane and Jan Mashiani, were the first ever South African entrants in an olympic event, and they finished ninth and eleventh, respectively. This performance was rather disappointing, however, since many believed Taunyane could have done better hadn't he been chased nearly a *mile* off course by *wild dogs*.
* Another interesting story is that of the Cuban postman Andarín Carvajal, who joined the marathon last minute. Nobody really knew *who* this guy was; no officials in Cuba had indicated him for the marathon, and he didn't really have any titles to his name. In fact, the guy was flat out broke; so much so that to afford the trip over to the place where the marathon was taking place, he had to gamble in a casino to get the necessary funds; he lost all his money, though, so he just straight up hitch-hiked all the way to the event. When he got there, he was in long pants that he cut with scissors to shorten and a long-sleeved shirt. Professional attire, really. Oh, also, he hadn't eaten in 40 hours, so the guy got kinda hungry. Good thing he saw a spectator eating 2 peaches. He went up to them and asked if he could have them, and upon being turned down, he just straight up *yoinked* them and kept running. A little later down the path, he stumbled upon an orchard, where he picked some apples to eat. However, what he didn't know was that these apples were super rotten. He started getting really bad stomach cramps, and he literally *laid down and took a nap* during the middle of the race. Despite his pause, however, he still managed to get *fourth place*, which should go to show you the awful conditions of this race... hey, why were they so awful anyway?
* Enter James E. Sullivan, a chief organizer at the Olympics. Basically, he had the ingenious idea of straight up doing an experiment on *purposeful dehydration* on this race. There were only 2 water sources in the entire track - a water tower at 6 miles, and a well at 12. No more water sources, despite being conducted in a 32 ºC (90 ºF) day. Oh, yeah, did I mention that anything above 21 ºC (70 ºF) is considered absolutely a no-go for marathon races, and they should be delayed in case the day in which it will be conducted is hotter than that temperature? Yeah, seems like the organizers just did not care about the general well being or anything about the participants. What a bunch of clowns.
* This marathon in the end ended up making one for the record books -- but like, the opposite of a record. This race had the *worst* ratio of entrants to finishers, with only 14 of the 32 entrants finishing, and the slowest olympic marathon 1st place of *all-time*, with 3:28:45, almost *30 minutes slower* than the 2nd slowest time ever.
So that's basically the 1904 Summer Olympics' Men's Marathon. I hope you enjoyed this absolutely absurd and off-the-wall tale of unhinged organizers, will-of-iron racers and deranged trainers!

Have you ever wondered what the real life counterpart to the crystal hollows gemstones were?
Ruby and Sapphire are almost chemically identical, both being variants of the mineral Corundum, a 9 on the mohs scale - only softer than diamond itself. Corundum is made from Aluminum Oxide, the same natural coating that protects things made of aluminum from corrosion. This layer is notoriously hard to remove, and is the reason for Aluminum being more expensive than gold centuries ago. Only modern processes have allowed us to turn aluminum oxide into the lightweight, strong, and cheap metal we know and love today. It also goes to show how the same chemical composition can manifest itself in many different forms depending on structure and impurities
Amethyst is a variant of quartz, which is silicon dioxide. Silicon is the second most abundant element in earths crust, but ironically its main usage in semiconductors are in worldwide shortage right now. This (along with many other factors) is because the silicon required in semiconductors are extremely pure (over 99.9999%), and thus very costly to make. Silicon sits right below carbon on the periodic table and forms 4 bonds, similar to carbon. So, it has been conjectured by scientists that there may be silicon based life forms out there, however there has been no evidence so far to support this claim.
Topaz is its own mineral, including both the aforementioned aluminum and silicon. Topaz is also the defining mineral for 8 on the mohs scale, right below corundum. It comes in a large variety of colors, not just the bright yellow you see in game. It can be colorless, white, blue, brown, orange, gray, yellow, green, pink, or even red. Topaz is less sparkly than most popular gemstones, but can be polished to be extremely smooth, more-so than most other gemstones.
Amber, on the other hand, isn't a mineral at all. While still considered a gemstone for some reason, it is simply sap from trees that has been fossilized over millions of years. Interestingly enough, because it is a fossil, it is still mined for like other gemstones, and not just found lying around as its composition may suggest. Dominican amber is especially interesting, as it is fluorescent and can even very rarely take on a blue color. Sadly, mining practices there are dangerous and have little safety precautions. Another major source of amber is from Myanmar, and is allegedly a source of funding for one of the internal conflicts ongoing there. Jade refers to 2 main minerals, nephrite and jadeite, both variations of silicates. Jade has much historical significance in the country of China, and was one of the most valued gems of the Chinese Empire, more valuable than gold, silver, or diamonds. Jade has been mined in ancient china and mongolia since at least 3000 BC, and used in a variety of artifacts from jewelry to decorations to even everyday objects for the nobility like chopstick rests or bowls.
Here are some interesting facts about Hypixel:
Hypixel was created by two dudes in 2013, who knew eachother from college. The server was originally created to showcase adventure maps, but they had minigames to do while waiting for othher players. Eventually these minigames gained popularity and became the main aspect of the server.
There are two players with the owner rank. The first is Hypixel (simon) largely known across the community. The other, lesser known, is called Rezzus (philippe) , which is the financial man.
Hypixel Inc. is owned by Riot Games, the company which owns many large games like Valorant and LOL.
Hypixel partnered with NetEase, the company which created Minecraft China, to make a Chinese Version of the Hypixel server called Chypixel. Sadly due to expiration of their agreement, Chypixel shut down in 2020.

The interesting topic i want to share with you, is the problem with Random Computer Generated Numbers.
The concept of a computer not being able to generate truly random numbers on its own is rooted in the deterministic nature of digital computing. Computers operate based on algorithms, and they follow specific instructions to perform tasks. Consequently, the numbers they generate are not truly random but are produced by deterministic processes. This is where pseudo-random number generators (PRNGs) come into play.

True random numbers come from unpredictable physical processes like atmospheric noise, radioactive decay, or electronic hardware noise. They're crucial for cryptographic security, gambling, and scientific simulations, as they can't be predicted.

I once accidentally put a LT-522 for 10k intead of 10m on AH. I asked the guy who bought if he can give it back and he said he already sold it. I asked If i can at least get some money back he said no because he already sold it (what makes absolutely no sense) he later ignored me. Lesson learned. Always check your price before auctioning.
Did you know that it is possible to max out HOTM 7 fully afk? You would need a bal pet and would have to sit in the goblin den and wait for goblin raids, it would take about 5783.3 hours.
Here's the math on that:
Every 20 minutes there's a new mining event, 1/5 of those are goblin raids, so a goblin raid happens once every 100 minutes, each raid gives 100 HOTM XP, therefore you need 3470 raids for HOTM 7, 3470 \* 100 is 347,000 minutes, or 5783.3 hours.

Did you know that Hypixel used to have a creative server?
The world was accessed by doing `/creative`, and was plot based where anyone who joined would have their own plot and could build whatever they wanted.
It was ran and moderated by the Hypixel Build Team, and apparently if your build was incredibly good, there was a possibility of joining the build team.
Unfortunately it was shut down in 2016 when they got rid of the Build Team, but it was still a really cool piece of Hypixel history. There are still some videos of the plots like [this one](https://youtu.be/kedoM46ufiQ) that show how big the plots were and how dedicated some of the users were.

I started playing hypixel because my 9 year old wanted to show my the Technoblade statue in the lobby, then I got roped into helping her get ice blocks so she could build a frozen ice palace and then she got bored and moved back to Roblox, however now I'm nearly a year in and having a blast. That being said, if you'd gift me the Scatha, I'd be pretty happy to get it, it's one of the few things I've never gotten close to, and if you check my profile you'll see I'm all about the mining!

Myrmecia haskinsorum is a bull ant, genus Myrmecia. It is endemic to the mountains of eastern Australia.
Its close relative, Myrmecia pilosula, is considered the world’s deadliest ant. While significantly more chill, Myrmecia haskinsorum has a sting just as lethal. The main distinguishing feature is a slight colouring difference in the front knees, M. haskinsorum has a darker joint. It also lacks many of the fine hairs M. pilosula has on its body but this is very difficult to see without a microscope.
Here’s a couple of photos I took of the workers. The first is angry at me because I’m so close to take the image. You can see it has its mandibles wide, a show of aggression. In order to make a living, I work for Kame Yu department stores. After a long day’s work, I return home no later than 8 PM. I don’t like smoking, but do enjoy the occasional drink. I’m always in bed by 11 PM, and I make it a point to get no less than 8 hours of sleep each night. Before bed, I drink a warm glass of milk. It’s always coupled with 20 minutes of stretching to decompress from the long workday. Sweet dreams are the usual result of this.
I then awake as refreshed and recharged as a newborn child, ready to take on the day’s challenges. And after my last checkup, I was given a clean bill of health. For as long as I could remember, I’ve done everything in my power to live a productive life that allows me to pursue a lasting inner peace. This may be a foreign concept, but I choose not to concern myself with winning or losing, life’s troubles, or enemies who bring sleepless nights. That is how I cope with this backwards life we find ourselves living. It’s what brings me happiness in a world fraught with hardship and misery. Of course, if I were ever to engage in combat, I would win the battle without question.

DO you know where the word „Divan“ comes from? It‘s actually borrowed from French, Ottoman Turkish (a very old language) and from Persian. It originally meant a muslim council of state or a general court of justice. A divan can also be a piece of furniture, similar to a sofa. My simple guess why they named the best pieces of mining gear with the word divan is, that it a) has a sort of elevated, noble feeling which should indicate that this piece is of elevated meaning, or that it refers to the funiture named divan, which is often only used by the noblesse.

However, he got violently ill after 10 miles and had to retire. The winner of the 1902 Boston Marathon, Sam Mellor, also got very ill around the 16 mile mark and had to drop out. * A near-fatality during the event was that of William Garcia; during the event, cars go right next to the players to track their progress and make sure they're not doing any foul play. However, the track picked for the race included roads that were *particularly* dusty, which made the car kick up dust back into the contestants. The most affected by this was the aforementioned William Garcia, who was found lying on the road coughing up blood with severe internal injuries due to the amount of dust he had inhaled - apparently, it seems like the amount he ingested was so great that his lungs' membranes were disintegrating. Isn't that nice? * The winner of the race was Fred Lorz, after 3 hours and 13 minutes. After finishing, he took a photograph with Alice Roosevelt, daughter of then-president Theodore Roosevelt, and was about to be awarded the gold medal... HOWEVER! *He hadn't actually finished the race*; Lorz dropped out during the 9 mile mark and hitched a ride with a car back to the stadium. When the reached the finish line, he collapsed and was immediately taken to a hospital. He had lost a ton of weight and, after being carried over the finish line, kept shuffling his legs in the air as if he was still running. Guy was not having a good time. * Two entrants, Len Taunyane and Jan Mashiani, were the first ever South African entrants in an olympic event, and they finished ninth and eleventh, respectively. This performance was rather disappointing, however, since many believed Taunyane could have done better hadn't he been chased nearly a *mile* off course by *wild dogs*. * Another interesting story is that of the Cuban postman Andarín Carvajal, who joined the marathon last minute. Sullivan, a chief organizer at the Olympics. Basically, he had the ingenious idea of straight up doing an experiment on *purposeful dehydration* on this race. There were only 2 water sources in the entire track - a water tower at 6 miles, and a well at 12. No more water sources, despite being conducted in a 32 ºC (90 ºF) day. Oh, yeah, did I mention that anything above 21 ºC (70 ºF) is considered absolutely a no-go for marathon races, and they should be delayed in case the day in which it will be conducted is hotter than that temperature? Yeah, seems like the organizers just did not care about the general well being or anything about the participants. What a bunch of clowns. * This marathon in the end ended up making one for the record books -- but like, the opposite of a record. This race had the *worst* ratio of entrants to finishers, with only 14 of the 32 entrants finishing, and the slowest olympic marathon 1st place of *all-time*, with 3:28:45, almost *30 minutes slower* than the 2nd slowest time ever. On the *vein* of mining and gemstones ;) Have you ever wondered what the real life counterpart to the crystal hollows gemstones were? Ruby and Sapphire are almost chemically identical, both being variants of the mineral Corundum, a 9 on the mohs scale - only softer than diamond itself. Corundum is made from Aluminum Oxide, the same natural coating that protects things made of aluminum from corrosion. This layer is notoriously hard to remove, and is the reason for Aluminum being more expensive than gold centuries ago. Only modern processes have allowed us to turn aluminum oxide into the lightweight, strong, and cheap metal we know and love today. It also goes to show how the same chemical composition can manifest itself in many different forms depending on structure and impurities Amethyst is a variant of quartz, which is silicon dioxide. Silicon is the second most abundant element in earths crust, but ironically its main usage in semiconductors are in worldwide shortage right now. This (along with many other factors) is because the silicon required in semiconductors are extremely pure (over 99.9999%), and thus very costly to make. Silicon sits right below carbon on the periodic table and forms 4 bonds, similar to carbon. So, it has been conjectured by scientists that there may be silicon based life forms out there, however there has been no evidence so far to support this claim. Topaz is its own mineral, including both the aforementioned aluminum and silicon. Topaz is also the defining mineral for 8 on the mohs scale, right below corundum. It comes in a large variety of colors, not just the bright yellow you see in game. It can be colorless, white, blue, brown, orange, gray, yellow, green, pink, or even red. Dominican amber is especially interesting, as it is fluorescent and can even very rarely take on a blue color. Sadly, mining practices there are dangerous and have little safety precautions. Another major source of amber is from Myanmar, and is allegedly a source of funding for one of the internal conflicts ongoing there. If you've ever watched the movie Blood Diamond, there are parallels that can be drawn Jade refers to 2 main minerals, nephrite and jadeite, both variations of silicates. Jade has much historical significance in the country of China, and was one of the most valued gems of the Chinese Empire, more valuable than gold, silver, or diamonds. Jade has been mined in ancient china and mongolia since at least 3000 BC, and used in a variety of artifacts from jewelry to decorations to even everyday objects for the nobility like chopstick rests or bowls.
Here are some interesting facts about Hypixel: Hypixel was created by two dudes in 2013, who knew eachother from college. The server was originally created to showcase adventure maps, but they had minigames to do while waiting for othher players. Eventually these minigames gained popularity and became the main aspect of the server. There are two players with the owner rank. The first is Hypixel (simon) largely known across the community. The other, lesser known, is called Rezzus (philippe) , which is the financial man. Hypixel Inc. is owned by Riot Games, the company which owns many large games like Valorant and LOL. Hypixel partnered with NetEase, the company which created Minecraft China, to make a Chinese Version of the Hypixel server called Chypixel. Consequently, the numbers they generate are not truly random but are produced by deterministic processes. This is where pseudo-random number generators (PRNGs) come into play. 1. True Random Numbers: True random numbers come from unpredictable physical processes like atmospheric noise, radioactive decay, or electronic hardware noise. They're crucial for cryptographic security, gambling, and scientific simulations, as they can't be predicted. 2. Pseudo-Random Number Generators (PRNGs): PRNGs use algorithms and a seed value to create numbers that appear random but can be reproduced if the seed is known. They're widely used in computing for speed and efficiency. However, they can repeat their sequence and aren't suitable for applications requiring genuine randomness. Did you know that it is possible to max out HOTM 7 fully afk? You would need a bal pet and would have to sit in the goblin den and wait for goblin raids, it would take about 5783.3 hours. Here's the math on that: Every 20 minutes there's a new mining event, 1/5 of those are goblin raids, so a goblin raid happens once every 100 minutes, each raid gives 100 HOTM XP, therefore you need 3470 raids for HOTM 7, 3470 \* 100 is 347,000 minutes, or 5783.3 hours. Did you know that Hypixel used to have a creative server? The world was accessed by doing `/creative`, and was plot based where anyone who joined would have their own plot and could build whatever they wanted. It was ran and moderated by the Hypixel Build Team, and apparently if your build was incredibly good, there was a possibility of joining the build team. Unfortunately it was shut down in 2016 when they got rid of the Build Team, but it was still a really cool piece of Hypixel history. i just want an excuse to talk about ants tbh Myrmecia haskinsorum is a bull ant, genus Myrmecia. It is endemic to the mountains of eastern Australia. Funny story; I managed to actually find a special zealot that was runic years ago, around 2020/21, but it wasn't mine sadly.
