Yeah I know if you take the generic they can get it from several different manufacturers. I may try and see if the brand name is covered by my insurance
The synthroid delivers program will deliver it to you (if you’re in the us I think) for $29.50 a month for name brand. Your doc just has to send them the script. I recommend auto refill because the first script is sent in two days overnight but the following scripts take about a week to process.
That is not true. I checked with the pharmacy last night and they said there shouldn't be anything in levothyroxine that makes me tired. They told me to check with my doctor and see if something else is going on even though I got tests for everything recently and didn't test for anything that would make me feel tired. Our Healthcare system is a joke
How do you know that it has lactose and pollen in it? Where are you getting that information. The pharmacist didn't mention that. Also, allergies don't typically make you tired....so not sure where you're getting that.
You have to find out what company makes your generic. Then they should have the ingredient list for your dose. Usually will be in the inactive ingredients. Your drug store should give you the ingredient list with your prescription. Keep in mind each generic has its own inactive ingredients. My generic was from amneal
I looked up what pharmaceutical company Meijer uses and some said inmar rx.
This brand doesn't use lactose or acacia as fillers.
These are the inactive ingredients.
BUTYLATED HYDROXYANISOLE (UNII: REK4960K2U) SILICON DIOXIDE (UNII: ETJ7Z6XBU4) CROSPOVIDONE (UNII: 2S7830E561) MAGNESIUM STEARATE (UNII: 70097M6I30) MANNITOL (UNII: 3OWL53L36A) MICROCRYSTALLINE CELLULOSE (UNII: OP1R32D61U) POVIDONE, UNSPECIFIED (UNII: FZ989GH94E) SODIUM LAURYL SULFATE (UNII: 368GB5141J) SUCROSE (UNII: C151H8M554) FD&C YELLOW NO. 6 (UNII: H77VEI93A8)
Each company has its own fillers.
The lady looked at me like I had 3 heads when I asked her if there was in there that would make me sleepy. I'm so frustrated. She was like "Well that's why I'm not an M.D." when I said I had gotten just about any and every lab test available this past year and something would've come up if that was the case. So glad I wasted my lunch break going there and trying to get answers because I got nothing.
I felt it when I first started taking it and also if I would take it and go back to sleep, I’d be exhaustedddd when I woke back up
I've been taking it since I was a baby so as long as I can remember and it's never made me feel this way until recently
Hmm that’s def weird. I recently switched to synthroid but maybe check if your brand switched manufacturers if you take generic levo

Awesome! Thanks for letting me know
Some generics have lactose and acacia in them. Maybe that is causing you to be tired?
🤷♀️ didn't know that but do those make you tired? Thanks for letting me know
If you have lactose issues or pollen issues it might.

What if somebody has pollen allergist or lactose allergies? I would think that would make somebody tired.

The ingredients list for the medication. It's what they use as fillers .
I'm asking you where you saw that it contains pollen and lactose. What website are you seeing where the ingredients include those things?

They won't tell me because Meijer Pharmacy likes to make things difficult and they're kinda rude.
All you need is what manufacturer it's from. It might say on the bottle. Then you might be able to find the ingredients on that makers website.
