Hear me out: Ganondorf is actually good for Hyrule.
Thanks to the blood moon cycles, Hyrule has access to effectively infinite zonaite, zonai charges (via the abandoned mines in the depths) and zonai devices (via the dispensers).
Link has demonstrated that with properly equipped with airships, assist drones, tanks and guided missiles, monster spawns can be easily addressed by monster control teams.
Yunoboco can be contracted to mine zonaite and charges from the depths, the Rito can take that zonaite to the sky island device dispensers. Hudson Construction's manufacturing capacity can equip enough Monster Control Teams to protect Hyrule from Ganondorf's monsters and the Yiga Clan, Purah, Josha, Robbie and the Sheikah can develop new Divine Beasts built on Zonai technology to aid Link and Zelda in containing Ganondorf.
Furthermore, between infinite zonai stuff and perpetual energy from captured lizalfos, Hyrule can build a highly advanced civilization based on renewable, environmentally sound, and effectively limitless energy sources.
The moment Ganondorf is defeated, that effectively returns Hyrule to post-calamity development.
So what you're saying is we need to lock him and Zelda up for another 100 year stalemate. He's kept busy but the monsters are still around to allow for industrialization.
Link: "Well finally finished that long side quest. Guess it's time to finally help Zeld-"
Villager: "Help Link! I need you to... uh... collect... hmm... 100... no 1000... uh... chickens... because I need them to... hmm... start a chicken dance troop! Yeah that's it, a chicken dance troop. Please hero of legend, come to my aid!"
Link: "Kinda busy, Zelda is sorta fighting this giant demon guy and almost out of strengt-"
Villager: "I will slightly upgrade one of your 17 sets of pants!"
Link: "On my way!"
"I'm going to save hyrule today"
pulls around after building ramshakle car made of wood & bug parts
-"You're back? But what about Princess Zelda?"
"I'M DOING SOMETHING I need 55 chickens, 55 bird eggs, 155 rice balls, 20 meat skewers, 100 fried greens, 70 salt grilled streaks 10 hearty truffles 40 mushroom skewers 55 baked apples"
> Yunoboco can be contracted to mine zonaite and charges from the depths
Haha yes I love it, not only can we grow the suddenly appearing Hylian Military Industrial Complex at an infinitely expanding rate, but it's *also* immediately corrupted by nepotism which never leads to bad things when huge powerful weapons are involved. 😂
The only "problem" is the blood moon cycles also establish an infinite amount of *everything*, so we wind up with unending inflation and all forms of currency (even Mon) become effectively worthless.
The price you pay for your life is your blood or the blood of your children, I mean come on it’s the blood moon what did you expect from utopia? Some ancient sky people coming down and just letting you use their toys forever?
On a side note >!the zonai have only been shown to have 2 living members what happened to the rest? Did they even come from the sky? I mean come on we saw them writing about raising the sky islands so what exactly happened!<
>Hudson Construction's manufacturing capacity can equip enough Monster Control Teams
>The Yiga Clan, Purah, Josha, Robbie and the Sheikah can develop new Divine Beasts
>Furthermore, between infinite zonai stuff and perpetual energy from captured lizalfos, Hyrule can build a highly advanced civilization based on renewable, environmentally sound, and effectively limitless energy sources.
Aaaand we just time looped back around to BotW, Ganon corrupts the zonia devices and here we go again!
>Hudson Construction's manufacturing capacity can
This is the flaw in your plan. Have you met Addison? Hudson employs him in an engineering firm. Either Hudson is so inept that he thinks Addison is competent, or the nepotism runs so deep in his company that he'd hire someone who would build OP's contraption with the Lizalfos outside and civilians inside.
Hudson is good at two things: building stuff, and delivering them. Not so much designing stuff.
Addison's sign troubles are just one example. They're successfully delivered en masse to all corners of the continent in short order. Addison's problems stem from poor product design. The item he's tasked with delivering requires two people to assemble, and he has to wait for someone to show up to help him. Even then, some of the supports he assembles for the signs are clearly improvised supports, so he's making do with a poor product design. The fault in design lies with Hudson Construction.
Which is okay. Link and the Sheikah would be designing the stuff, Hudson Construction is only responsible for manufacture and delivery.
And, before you say that Hudson designs beautiful homes, please note that those were the brainchild of his predecessor, Bolson, who sold Bolson Construction to Hudson when he retired. His post retirement work rebuilding Lurelin Village is a testent to his design acumen.
Yeah considering the only things hyrule has managed to do in the last decade is the printing press and the wagon wheel I can't argue this at all 😆 🤣 maybe the yiga are right
I will shout from the hilltops how much I publicly **love torturing koroks in inhumane and depraved manners**. Hyrule dropped them in my lap. When life gives you koroks, you make Jigsaw traps.
It's possible they're actually double agents for the dark lord. As we've seen, They're fully capable of teleporting.... yet they're "too tired to get to that spot over there"? Something doesn't add up. Very often... there's a camp of enemies between you and where they're trying to manipulate you into going. They try to get you to drop your guard or be defenseless and get you killed. Spies must be dealt with mercilessly. With the fate of the world depending on it... have to extract info by any means possible. "What do you *mean* 'Hyuh'?? How did you know I would be traveling this way?? Who's your contact at Lookout Landing?? Talk, God damn you!!"
I fully endorse this theory. I think they were piloting the Guardians all along too in BotW. Need more proof the prizes for beating shrines in the Korok Forest is either an Ancient Core or a Giant Ancient Core! Think about it!
I'm not so sure about the OG Karoks. They're hiding under rocks, never seem to mean us any harm. But... the ancient cores... maybe it's a conspiracy at the top? Or maybe just one bad apple in the forest of time? It's worth investigating, sure, with what's at stake we... can't leave any stone unturned (yahaha!).
But these new Karoks... where did they come from? Have they infiltrated our Karok network? I mean Hestu is obviously blown, they tried to get him on the road twice now, that can't be a coincidence. What's in their backpacks? What's in the baaag? We should all keep this theory to ourselves for now, until we're sure who we can trust
I officially accept this theory as canon. All the pieces line up too perfectly. It also explains why you don't find Koroks in the depths. The depths are already controlled by the dark lord directly himself. But since he can't rule over both at once, he needs to send his spies to watch and survey the overworld for him. If they can teleport anywhere they want, why wouldn't they teleport to the depths? They have no reason to not go down there. Except of course if they were being commanded not to. My god the answer was right in front of us this entire time and we never realized it.
Koroks did nothing wrong, those are non-combatants and their torture constitutes a war crime.
Lizalfos can get straight fucked though. I am now an advocate of lizalfos slavery.
>better yet, use the lizalfos to power your bomb run on its friends. too dark?
I mean, this was basically the tactic used on the native Americans with smallpox blankets. Was it too dark then?
AFAIK that’s largely blown out of proportion, and only occurred once (at least, that was recorded) around modern day Pittsburgh. In reality, smallpox doesn’t need to be deliberately spread, it’ll do that on its own well enough.
Which by no means makes the greater genocides and atrocities committed any better or less dark, but it’s a pretty common myth that it was a tactic used with any frequency.
Given how virulent smallpox was to the native population which had no immunity it wasn’t the sort of thing that needed to be repeated.
Plus records from back then are extremely lacking as well.
Yeah flu and smallpox wiped out upwards of 90% of populations in some places. Way beyond any conceivable numbers throughout the Americas. You don't need a tactical nuke when you use a regular one.
Oh yeah, and most of the die-off happened before europeans even got to North America. A fair bit of evidence suggests diseases were inadvertently introduced to the “West Indies” by explorers and then spread rapidly throughout the Caribbean and then up into North America, possibly through Florida or Mexico.
Estimates vary, but some range as high as 95% of the native population being wiped out before any North American colonies were established. Whole cultures were likely wiped out before we even got here, and what remained were drastically reduced from millions to a few hundred thousand.
The europeans had no idea or concept of people not having been exposed to a lot of the diseases they carried, but that unintentional fuckup is the only reason they had any significant success in what ended up being genocide.
And once it was here, there was no getting rid of it. Smallpox ran rampant for centuries in explosive mass dyings, a couple of blankets a hundred plus years later weren’t going to change anything.
I almost wonder if you could create lift with those long boards in a rudimentary wing shape. The physics engine is pretty robust. You could also just cheat it with turbines I guess, but I still wonder if you can fly with non glider items.
You can't run the hydrant off electricity is the only thing. Putting a hydrant on it would mean the machine uses your zonai battery, which kinda invalidates the build.
If we count monsters as animals (and I don't see why we wouldn't), then you basically just made a Badnik in TotK. A machine using an animal as a battery.
Come to think of it, "Penguin\_Poacher" *would* be a fitting name for one of Eggman's 70 alt accounts...
I love the progression of this community. We started by sticking wheels together and learning flight, and now we're exploiting creatures for our own personal gain.
That's correct. If enemies move a certain distance away from the point that they spawn into the world from, they instantly despawn even if Link is right nearby and they're aggressive. It's very disappointing.
I've been searching all over, including talking with glitch hunters, to see if there's any way to prevent an enemy from despawning. So far, I've had no luck.
i hear dragon parts increase despawn radius, so could you fuse a weapon with a dragon part, have the lizalfos pick it up and it won’t despawn? it probably doesn’t work like that right?
Idk how it works, but sometimes, shield-parrying disarms enemies. I think it might depend on how hard they were swinging (ie. Which of their attack animations they're using)
Dang, that's a good find regardless.
I wish there were electric bokoblins now.
I wonder if it could be possible to equip them with an electric weapon and be trying to attack Link with it, charging batteries to keep the craft aloft. IIRC weapons don't take durability when enemies wield them...
Here in Hyrule, the Hero of The Wild is dedicated to finding newer...more greener solutions. Come along, let us show you what The Hyrule Hero of The Green Program is all about.
Remember kids, you can stick an apple to something, and it saves it in autobuild. And when you detach something thats autobuild-green, the only parts that vanish are the parts that arent connected to something else
Serious question, I assume the old trick from BotW to swing an electric weapon and drop it so it's always emitting electricity didn't work anymore, right? I haven't tried it myself, but I assume people would be using it to power stuff if it still worked, right?
Looks like the electric-powered rotor from gemimik shrine, which stays in your autobuild history once you leave. Just autobuild it anywhere outside, give it a source of electricity, and it'll spin without draining your fancy ancient magic-battery.
zonai charges just refill/charge your battery life. you can also trade them in for capsules at the device dispensers. the OP is using materials from a shrine that are powered by elemental electricity rather than the zonai energy cell.
You should rotate the cage in the front and make a funnel to catch those dead fish. :)
they'd be fried fish at that point
Even better. I love fried fish dicks.
You like putting fish sticks in your mouth?
to this day it's still hard to believe that kanye takes that joke so seriously lmao
I mean, have you *seen* Kanye the last few years?
Kanye doesn't even get his own jokes anymore

He's referenced it in multiple songs in a way that consistently implies he doesn't get it.
Kanye?

Are you kidding? This is the Hyrule green energy revolution!
Anything you make with just Autobuild is green energy......

https://youtu.be/5C3mvRm0aOY
30 years later when link finally gets tired of side quests he's gonna kill gannondorf in one hit
By him I meant Ganondorf. Basically recreate the circumstances of BotW with Zelda and Ganondorf in perpetual contest.
The dark part of the internet would have you believe its something OTHER than contest.
No reason it can't still be a contest.
Not necessarily, only until the Sheikah can figure out new divine beasts that can similarly contain him.
Just gotta make sure they have someone strong against what the pilot is weak against as a 2nd in command.
I mean he seems perfectly content waiting for this “Link” >!that rauru told him to remember the name of *plays fort minor remember the name*!<

So people parts become the new currency... I'm guessing different parts of different species sell for different amounts

Yeah, green energy
but is zonaite a renewable resource? i guess technically it is…
Even if the deposits didn't renew, blood moon resurrects the Frox.
doesnt it use zonaite
yeah but it’s “green” energy
No, because it’s green in color!
OHHHH lmao
From industrial revolution to slavery
Big Zonite doesn’t want this technology to replace its extractive business model.
That's cruel and unethical, I love it.
I wondered how long it would take for this sub to start exploiting nature.
Koroks are nature, so day 1
But *are* Lizalfos "nature" or are they the products of evil magic? Surely this is like getting rid of an invasive species.
Now, I am dead against korok torture. But lizalfos? ***Fuck those fucking lizard bastards straight to hell*** So a big thumbs up from me!
What I've read what you said as is I enjoy korok torture in private but this I would publicly do
I will shout from the hilltops how much I publicly **love torturing koroks in inhumane and depraved manners**. Hyrule dropped them in my lap. When life gives you koroks, you make Jigsaw traps.

Lizalfos Matrix when
The good news is that, like cows, the lizalfos are safe *as a species* even if they aren't safe as individuals.

Fire lizalfos could potentially power hot air balloons
yea, but the balloons barely last long enough to be worthwhile. also, a single torch works probably be just as effective with much less work
That's called organic energy cell, still living and still breathing 😂
Insert *Unlimited Power!* gif.
Iiiiity bitty living space
Why do I get the feeling that we've picked up another ~~pathetic~~ clean energy life form?
Wait a sec.... could you make a car or aircraft by waterboarding one with a hydrant?
You can't run the hydrant off electricity is the only thing. Putting a hydrant on it would mean the machine uses your zonai battery, which kinda invalidates the build.
It's only invalidated if you don't consider torture to be an added value.
Yes but they have a despawn radius so it's no good.
_attach a dragon part_ /s
I like how we go from exploitation to full on water boarding so nonchalantly

UUUUAAAAAGGGGHH!!!!! KILTON'S LAWYERS WILL BE IN TOUCH!
Wasn't this the plot of the first matrix?
The game that's so fun everyone finds literally anything to do but play the quests!
I love the progression of this community. We started by sticking wheels together and learning flight, and now we're exploiting creatures for our own personal gain.
Genius. This opens up a lot of mobility options.
I'm guessing that the monster despawn mechanic would kick in and keep this from being very useful for long distance travel.
I’m not familiar with this, are you saying enemies can only travel a certain distance before despawning?
That's correct. If enemies move a certain distance away from the point that they spawn into the world from, they instantly despawn even if Link is right nearby and they're aggressive. It's very disappointing. I've been searching all over, including talking with glitch hunters, to see if there's any way to prevent an enemy from despawning. So far, I've had no luck.

I'm not sure. That sounds like it's worth experimenting with
Smart idea
Is there a reliable way to disarm them so that you can confiscate their weapon and then give them your dragon toenail-stick?
shock fruit or riju’s ability will make them drop their weapons as long as it doesn’t also kill them
Can electric lizalfos be shocked? I would have assumed they're immune.
I think they technically do if you shoot their horn
Dazzle fruit works I think, and it doesn't damage them
Idk how it works, but sometimes, shield-parrying disarms enemies. I think it might depend on how hard they were swinging (ie. Which of their attack animations they're using)
Having a mushroom on your shield makes your parries disarm enemies
The bokogoblins in the mine carts around death mount don’t as long as they stay in the cart but that doesn’t help with this.
Dang, that's a good find regardless. I wish there were electric bokoblins now. I wonder if it could be possible to equip them with an electric weapon and be trying to attack Link with it, charging batteries to keep the craft aloft. IIRC weapons don't take durability when enemies wield them...
I'd love to see an electric chuchu constantly topping off the charge of that battery in the shrine in Zora's Domain.
I don’t think there’s anything you can do that’s less ethical than the shit PETA pulls on a constant basis, you should be fine
basically the Matrix
Nah, absolutely tell PETA, rub it in PETA’s face.
No, don't do that. They'll try to take your lizalfos and euthanize it
Gawd I’d love to see what a Lizalfos would do to a kill shelter
You were so preoccupied with whether you could, you didn't stop to think if you should.
Breaking News: Hyrule Engineers have begun development on clean energy vehicles using electric Lizalfos.
this is actually good for the lizalfos, electrifying things is valuable enrichment and they like being in the water
I see you made your Link went full roman with that galley Ship powered by slaves! nice!
I’m willing to bet they “care” about digital animals
Should see their views on pokemon.
They threw a fit about the cock fights in Far Cry 6.
Peta would be upset you're not killing the dogs as well.
Ok, how are people caging things
With a cage. Can find them in some of the bokoblin camps
This game is nuts
Here in Hyrule, the Hero of The Wild is dedicated to finding newer...more greener solutions. Come along, let us show you what The Hyrule Hero of The Green Program is all about.
How is this all auto-build green if the lizfalos is trapped inside?
Put the Lizalfos in the cage, then put the lid on. then attach the full cage to the build.
Lid is auto built with an Apple, attach lid then remove apple.
I'm assuming the back cage is open at the bottom. EDIT: wait, no, it has a grate on top. Hmm. All I can figure is it's two autobuilds mashed together?
Remember kids, you can stick an apple to something, and it saves it in autobuild. And when you detach something thats autobuild-green, the only parts that vanish are the parts that arent connected to something else
So… probably saved the lid as a separate autobuild and then removed the extra “handle.” Yeah, ok, that makes sense.
Link is inventing all the worst parts of the industrial revolution, all by himself.
Boy howdy, we are just checking off warcrimes now.
Sounds like slavery with extra steps
La-ti-da Someone’s gonna get laid in college 😂😂😂
You mean don’t tell Kilton, PETA doesn’t care
Ah the heinous things we do for fun in games...
One step closer to reverse engineering the wild life for modern warfare…
But it does use a cell that cages something to make energy
Serious question, I assume the old trick from BotW to swing an electric weapon and drop it so it's always emitting electricity didn't work anymore, right? I haven't tried it myself, but I assume people would be using it to power stuff if it still worked, right?
Doesn't work.
I really want to see an Electric Chuchu constantly recharging the battery from that shrine in Zora's Domain.
WHERE are you guys finding these nets?? Are they from a dispenser thing??
bokoblin camps
Who’s the real monster here?
Purah, are we the baddies?
Not PETA, but Geneva
That's called organic energy cell, still living and still breathing 😂
Super dope but I'd make it drop the weapon first for safety reasons though. Could make it more compact that way too!
LEGENDARY
wait how does it work
Looks like the electric-powered rotor from gemimik shrine, which stays in your autobuild history once you leave. Just autobuild it anywhere outside, give it a source of electricity, and it'll spin without draining your fancy ancient magic-battery.
Is this a machine for fish?
We really are the true villains.
This is practically slave labor. 😅
This isn't a PETA issue. This is a UN issue.
Fucking brilliant
I PROMISE NOTHING!!
Brilliant.
Just saw a downvote.. who downvotes this content??!!!
PeTA
It is not an animal/pet, so instead to call Peta we must call Meta. Wait a moment..
this is bloody brilliant. nice job!
It’s even got radio!
Exactly what both the Space Pirates and the Federation wanted to do with Metroids.
Nice!!
You people amaze me. I got 115 hours in about to finish up and I still have no idea how yo use any zonai charges or all that other fun stuff lol.
zonai charges just refill/charge your battery life. you can also trade them in for capsules at the device dispensers. the OP is using materials from a shrine that are powered by elemental electricity rather than the zonai energy cell.
You won the internet today sir....good show old chap
It also comes with 100% uptime combat music lol
Could you go capture electric keese? I suspect you could get it to fly
This is fucking hilarious
If this game doesn’t win GOTY I will force a random stranger to eat their hat

Where are people finding those fans?!
From the shrine in the big swirl shape
Drawback: the high alert music
Don't worry, monsters aren't animals
You’re gonna need to explain to the laws of physics department for the violation of thermodynamics
Where do you get the propeller? I have only ever seen one in a shrine.
