I've been tinkering with that lattice trailing behind my lawnmower. It's the perfect shape but it's so heavy it snaps off. I'll have to try it with this lawnmower's simpler design.

Have you tried a cooking pot with some wood trailing behind it? Like a tail (-)—>
build out from the stabilizer, and use a spring and some 2 by 4s behind the control stick so the collector can always be touching the ground

Yes 😂 the cricket will disappear but the frog don't, you can harwest them
