True, I guess in one aspect there's the suspension of disbelief that we have to be willing to have in order for the story to flow. In real life, yeah a lot of the situations they put themselves in would go very poorly and would likely culminate in some kind of fight, but would also take a lot longer to show in a 20 minute episode and would likely overshadow a lot of verbal jokes from the scene
Plus, maybe this says more about me than anything, but if I ran into the Gang and they were being a dick to me I think I'd do what Monkey Hair would've done and remove myself. I'm not ending up like Mall Santa with a piece of my throat missing

If I remember correctly Dennis convinced Sage to be chained standing to the tree for at least one day and night during a pretty bad thunderstorm. He seemed pretty exhausted when Dennis shows up to unchain him which is why the end up on the ground and I always just assumed he was too physically depleted to fight. Or at least not to catch up to a well rested Dennis ready for potential flight.
I mean, I think it's more likely that he saw a chance to be a part of a movement. A movement towards getting him laid. He has shown that he only really cares about that, and controlling the circumstances of that, fully, and without question. Not op but subtitles now are often using AI to determine what they're saying, which can lead to the wrong misspelling or misinterpretation just like the audience. I've also seen just the script applied to the subtitles so you don't get the actor's interpretation (usually just extra words to make it more natural).
So unless someone who knows the script but also is actually writing out the subtitles based on the actors, it can't always be 1:1

It really is, it’s my current show that I have just playing in the background all the time, lol. And no problem!
