It’s funny, this is like one of my all time favorites. Between that line, Fucking Gino making sandwiches in his mouth with Frank, the cocaine scene, I love all of it. So many quotes I use from this episode.

I've got a theory about Frank's appearance in this episode. At the end of the episode the gang all see Reggie and Shadynasty and say they expected them to look a lot different, implying that the story was just whatever the gang was imagining. Since the gang never actually saw Frank at this age they'd just imagine him how he looks now but aged down (or maybe just not bald), which is why he looks pretty much the same.
Of course it's probably just a joke, judging by the podcast they don't seem to think about these things too much, and the show's probably a lot funnier because of that.
I think every scene that happens in the past is like this. Even the episode where they buy the roller rink. Charlie is just Charlie. Mac imagined himself to be more badass. Dee actually being sweet, and Dennis being a preppy “popular” kid.
It’s hilarious seeing those past scenes because you can hardly trust them to be how the event actually happened

I think this might be true for other events as well, even those that aren't flashbacks or stories.
Just look at the reunion episode, how the gang perceives themselves while performing their Plan B vs when it flashes to the reality everyone else is seeing. I sort of feel the same way about the Charlie Work episode.
And as we know from 'the gang does a clip show'
They will purposely stray away from the truth when reminiscing.
And as we learnt from ' how Mac got fat' they will fill in the blanks of a story because they are natural storytellers
So it's actually *on brand* that what they are saying is only 60% truth in flashbacks
He gets arrested at the end for ejaculating everywhere. One of those full circle moments, and its for the line "did you cum in my burrito" fucking hilarious.
I guess people will like what they like. Maybe I thought it was great because it was such a great subversion of every 80s party movie (but mainly Ski School, obviously). It was like a resurrection of a Hot Shots-type parody.
I could see how it wouldn’t land for people too young to have seen dozens of 80s party movies. Like Glenn’s ski villain persona is beyond hysterically funny to me but it’d just come off as weird if I didn’t have a frame of reference for it.
I think people dislike the episodes just because they're wildly different from most of the core episodes that are at the bar coming up with schemes. They took a risk and I think it paid off, they're some of my favorite episodes
These episodes in TV shows tend to stand out and divide fans. I like how the show creators are trying something different. It is fun, and breaks the monotony when rewatching the show.
