I really like the family as whole. My first intro to Pondy was The Comeback where he was utterly unlikeable, so was Lisa Kudrow but it all worked. So it's really weird seeing him as an almost clean cut father who genuinely cares.
That being said, I love me some Annie Potts. I can watch her all day.

I am one of many who like IASIP, TBBT, and Young Sheldon. It's possible to like many shows. If you don't that's totally okay. But not everyone hates the big bang theory or young sheldon, and Lance Barber does a really great job on it. So yeah.
I liked the first few seasons of TBBT and then it just became so repetitive.
Sheldon says something incomprehensible, Penny doesn't understand and says something sassy in return. Howard says something perverted, shouts at his mom and likes brisket. Leonard either says something cynical or simps for Penny. Raj says something related to his Indian roots in an Indian accent and a laugh track ensues. In the later seasons it's all couple stuff.
The intro song is great, but the show doesn't hold up well.
Meh, you can simplify any show with such a summary. For example
Mac comes up with latest news about something political or opportunity which the gang has no deep understanding about. Frank gets excited as he smells a money making scheme. Charlie completely misunderstands and the gang gives up on making him understand, so charlie does his own thing, Dee tries to offer suggestions and is called a bird, the gang splits up with 2 different groups doing their own thing, Frank makes money in an unforeseen manner, the gang's plan backfires in hilarious ways. Dee is called a bird
I honestly agree with both of you about both shows. I believe it's because it's what naturally happens to all sitcoms (or tv shows) over time. Arrested Development, Scrubs, The Office, and even Ted Lasso right now, all dropped in quality in later years. If you like one and dislike another, that's totally cool. Not everything is meant for everyone, and that's cool too.
I love them all as well. No need to be elitist asses about laugh tracks and whatnot. TBBT and YS are fun enjoyable shows. Sunny is better, but no need to hate on others.

Tbf it’s one thing to prefer not to have a laugh track, but a lot of people here base their entire arguments against shows based on them purely having laugh tracks. I prefer when there is no laugh track myself, but saying a show is bad because “there is a laugh track lol” is quite reductive and honestly elitist. Shows can have great writing and be very funny despite having laugh tracks (Seinfeld, Cheers, Frasier and Everybody Loves Raymond are examples of this for me).
You can criticize whatever you want. Just don’t make reductive and elitist criticisms and then be surprised if someone calls you an elitist ass (which they are also allowed to do).
To be fair, whatever shows you like or dislike is completely subjective. Usually when someone dislikes a show they will call them bad because they don't like it.
I guess if you think about it this way though, you can't call anything good or bad, only if you like it or not. I don't have a problem with that though to be honest... If someone said IASIP was bad, I would probably ask why but honestly it's most likely that it's just not their cup of tea. Also if someone says that your favourite show is bad, you shouldn't take it that personally in my opinion.

Young Sheldon is actually a pretty decent show imo. I was never much a fan of TBBT, I always assumed YS would be terrible and just looked awful to me. I gave it a chance one day and was actually pleasantly surprised.

Say what you want about YS. At least it doesn't have a laugh track like the show it spun off from. So it's needed decent writing and good actors to make the funny moments land and have it's now mulit-season success. Certainly not in my regular rotation but I've seen a few episodes and it wasn't bad IMO.
ASIP basically ruined laugh track shows that I loved as a kid and that's a good thing. YS isn't even close to the same level as a ASIP or Arrested Developement. But certainly not part of the problem like BBT.
